It is very good solution, so you can make whole construction above them. Using panels is smart - they are light, stable and have no holes . you know how it is said - end well, all well -

[TC13] Ferrari 248 formula 1 racing
1gor replied to Chawn's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
For TC13 very cool version, but I would prefer red color, since it is a Ferrari representation, but you got right shape -
Articulated point as far away that is true, but it has same principle, now next step is to integrate CLAAS 3 way steering in this model to gain those steering modes

@grego18f no problem if you do not have chromed parts; that is why I asked for future. To be in situation with not enough money I understand (I don't have it despite I'm a professor). As professor I can only wish you to be successfill student and when you finnish studying to have job that is worthy both you as person and your needs. Now back to topic; your version of Mack is very good I like it very much

The use of black pieces
1gor replied to Carsten Svendsen's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
H frame is what we defenetly need to (finaly) make all black chassis that is realistic representation in our mocs. With different combi of lbg or dbg with black it looks just to colorfull (sometimes like clown for circuss), so I agree that there is good choice that we have whole palette of black parts That is possible reason because from some angles, or hidden by other parts less experienced people can mistaken one frame for another... -
It is a bit different but it is the same principle like on steering mode under number 2. just in my case whole exle articulates like front part of Valtra tractor
