[MOC] Dual-Driveshaft Pickup
1gor replied to KevinMoo's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
It looks bulky as pickup should be. Really good job -
42081 - Volvo Autonomous Loader
1gor replied to dimaks13's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
But I trust you and trust is priceless ? I did not see loader here so I'll see in few weeks what is the price, but I assume that the price will be in Version area... -
42081 - Volvo Autonomous Loader
1gor replied to dimaks13's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Looking at the size of this set, price is not so high...and it looks like nice set and set that could be heavily modified...but first of all I'm waiting for @Jim's review because his reviews are my references ? -
Axle Collection Thread
1gor replied to efferman's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
@Imanol BB I'm working at the moment on few projects and one uses Tatra suspension with 94.3 (Unimog wheels) and overall width should be 21 studs. The only problem is that shocks have to be very low...so I'll peek on your solution from time to time... -
[WIP] Telescopic Excavator
1gor replied to nerdsforprez's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
I had the same dilemma with my mocs and despite starting to make small size 1:18, I have ended on something what can be mid scale 1:15. Sometimes LEGO parts do not allow us to make in desirable size. IMHO you have made smart decision to make it enough bigger to make it best compromise in-between size and functionality... Take the time you need and we will see your MOC optimized ? -

[WIP] Telescopic Excavator
1gor replied to nerdsforprez's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Honestly I like blue version but it is unusual (at least where I live). Panel 11 X 3 in yellow is rare and expensive so I understand your point. white model looks very clean (at least until first use). Usually I like small scale mocs, but they are very limited in functionality due to lack of space. What I meant about motor on telescopic arm is that it is unusual to see something like that but answer is in lack of space. Looking forward to see version II when you will find time for it... I agree on pneumatics with you; they often limit movements or just pop out where they are at least needed -
[WIP] Telescopic Excavator
1gor replied to nerdsforprez's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
I have to be honest, I did not pay attention to excavators with telescopic attachment at all. Now I see this can be very interesting MOC. It looks very good. ? Perhaps yellow or orange as in your posted image of original machine would be better, but you know best what is doable in your situation. I assume that there is no possibility to use one motor hidden in bodywork because of complexity of construction (axle salad would probably be result) -
Technic 2018 Set Discussion
1gor replied to Jim's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
But I think this year we have 6 sets with drivetrain (differential and engine): - 42075 (one diff) - 42077 (one diff) - 42078 (two diff's) - 42079 (one diff) - 42082 (two diff's) - 42083 (two diff's) And (I assume) seven sets with over 1000 parts... -
42081 - Volvo Autonomous Loader

Now we have something like "introduction" for reviews that will follow-up... Thanks -

1gor replied to dimaks13's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Perhaps pneumatic version (with new valve) would be more interesting, but that is for different topic: so.ething like 42081 mods and improvements. As I mentioned about 42079 set LEGO could also intentionally make such sets that give us joy modifying it... -

42081 - Volvo Autonomous Loader
1gor replied to dimaks13's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
@Jim maybe you're right...at least after your review I'll be smarter... The real (concept) is completely electrical so my thoughts are like this model is future of 42030... Perhaps is my opinion influenced by fact that I do not like operating linear actuators by hand ? Autonomous and futuristic machines are very interesting for me, even my current projects are dealing with futuristic systems tractors... -
42081 - Volvo Autonomous Loader
1gor replied to dimaks13's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
A bit unusual to have such big set only with manual control, perhaps LEGO has spoiled us -
42081 - Volvo Autonomous Loader
1gor replied to dimaks13's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
It is interesting concept but without motorization it looks like unfinished...perhaps someone will motorize it like 42030 set; who knows....? -
42079 - Heavy Duty Forklift

Exactly ? -
42079 - Heavy Duty Forklift
1gor replied to Jim's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
@M_longer first of all thank you for your modification by adding two extra wheels. It looks much better ...and if I may continue you could open new topic 42079 mods and improvements. I can only add that I think 4 cylinder engine could fit inside. Color combination is great (IMHO) and this is what I think LEGO set should be - good base with possibilities to be perfected when needed -
[WIP] CLAAS Challenger 95E
1gor replied to JLiu15's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
@JLiu15 I meant that LEGO does not offer big enough sprocket at the moment. Thanks for compliment. With the time you evolve your model to look as much as original -

To se my Unimog just go through this topic.... Currently I'm waiting for parts to make right side door like this About your MOC, a time ago I was 90% tractor builder and still working on two systems tractors, but all my creations will have one topic in future... New Challenges have much bigger drive wheel and very small idler wheel, so it is very difficult to built accurate model. A while ago I had contact with Carsten who build this http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=375983 ...but I do not know if he had Eurobricks account And member @jorgeopesi made this small beauty http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=541369
