  1. Perhaps it is color licenced with set? Is it possible?
  2. Idea is very good. Months ago I was thinking that (based on license) we could expect / hope for Liebherr mining truck to fit R9800 based on 94.3 (Unimog tires) with same motorized functions as 42030 B model (just use new PU from 42099 set) and new big linear actuators from R9800
  3. Congratulations on your clearly great work. Proportions look perfect IMHO the only think I do not like is engine but there is always possibility to put proper 4 cylinder engine. Real Defender looks very robust and what I like are clear lines and boxy design.
  4. It ended up great. Really like 3 way steering
  5. Welcome back Han, Great truck (again) I really like PF and fake engine combo. If I'm not mistaking, real one can be seen here http://www.designer-han.nl/lego/
  6. You're welcome. Actually all credits deserves @Thirdwigg
  7. You can use this gallery and build it by yourself (and enjoy) Usually combination is 620/70R46 or 710/70R42 or 650/85R38 and 540/65R34 front (rear tire is usually wider than front)
  8. It looks to me like Gulf sponsored 24h racer. Very good C-model...but it laso is a proof that 42039 B-model (with V6) is doable
  9. Scale 1:15.5 can enable to make lots of machinery...example 94.3 tire can represent 440/80R30 industrial tire (overall diameter about 1470mm)...600/65R34 is often used on forest machinery, I wonder what will be your Creation... Of course you can insert 94.8 balloon tire inside 107 Trac tire and have 109mm tire which could give you 1:15 scale if you want...
  10. This is how real Landy looks like https://www.motorsport-total.com/auto/news/neuer-land-rover-defender-2020-ohne-tarnung-bei-filmarbeiten-erwischt-19090104 ...so Lego made pretty good job
  11. It belongs to group 44 because overall diameter is closer to 1676mm...it has 1650mm overall diameter. Example for group 43 (for that representation I use 107 x 44 tractor tire by LEGO to have 1:15 models) 320/85R42 - 1587mm 380/80R38 - 1580mm 420/85R34 - 1585mm 480/70R34 - 1583mm 540/65R34 - 1566mm 600/70R30 - 1602mm 710/60R30 - 1614mm ... They all are about 1600mm in diameter and that is a group (of tires) 43 (Overall diameter differs from manufacturer and from release year several mm)
  12. Rear and front tires diameters fit perfectly together for that kind of tracs with 5 steps differences between front and rear tires. If I may explain a little bit; at front are usually group 40 tires (1375mm tires) a d at rear group 45 tires (1755 mm). Other marques like CLAAS, Massey Ferguson, Case IH / New Holland, Fendt (without front independent suspension) have front tires 5 group smaller tires. Tracs with front independent suspension like Deere 8R series, Fendt Vario 9 and 10 series have front tires usually 4 steps smaller and tracs like JCB Fastrac 8 series and Deutz fahr 7 series have 3 steps between front and rear (front group 44 and rear 47, but there is possibility to use group 45 at the front and group 47 on Fastrac 8 series) I'll add overviews of overall diameters later to help other Trac builders. I hope that it is not bad to use your topic Edit: Group 38 tires have 1255 mm overall diameter Group 39 tires have 1310 mm overall diameter Group 40 tires have 1375 mm overall diameter Group 41 tires have 1422 mm overall diameter Group 42 tires have 1499 mm overall diameter Group 43 tires have 1602 mm overall diameter Group 44 tires have 1676 mm overall diameter Group 45 tires have 1755 mm overall diameter Group 46 tires have 1855 mm overall diameter Group 47 tires have 1955 mm overall diameter Group 48 tires have 2055 mm overall diameter Group 49 tires have 2155 mm overall diameter Group 50 tires have 2255 mm overall diameter
  13. I would use 5 x 7 frames as much as possible, so I suggest you - try to make another one based on frames but use this as reference
  14. It looks very nice, but how to put Fishertechnic tires at the front and take some photos? @Kio Liex since rear tires in real Trac are 600/65R38 (1755 mm overall diameter), you can calculate scale (1:16.5)
  15. IMHO it would be better to use 4 cylinder engine with pistons that do not end up in top position if you tilt my t to side ... Still I don't see anything "realistic" in engine made of axles...but you were Right. Shape is correct, but I do not like color particularly and this kind of engine is not my coup of tea...but who knows maybe I get used on it
  16. Well I looks like color of 4th horseman of apocalypse... Hope it looks better in real life, otherwise set looks interesting.
  17. This color combo looks better IMHO; perhaps because I see most if tow trucks where I live in this color combination...
  18. @suffocation if you continue to build this mobile crane, you'll end up like me in 1:15 scale...but I think TLC has some predefined scales like 1:20 where Xerion, Mack and 42009 set fits so it is highly unlikely that TLC makes crane in such scale. RTC has in reality 1855mm big tires, so you can calculate scale.. BTW your chassis looks very interesting to me. Regards
  19. IMHO it would be better to base grader on 62.4 truck tires, so midsize set based on truck tires that could fit last year's 42079 set could be very interesting. It does not have to be 4000+ parts set to be cool set
  20. ...and it would have 10 000 parts? Perhaps 6 wheeled would be maximum using crane boom like 42082 set?
  21. Lucky me that I do not like modern cars, otherwise when I see prices for Porsche (s) And Bugatti here I would bankrupt. Important thing IMHO is that there is everything in release year; from aircrafts to cars, boats, motorbikes and of course machinery. Size is a point of view
