you just read my mind, I'll stick to (mini) Xerion -
Sorry for late reply, 1.24€ is decent price indeed (4.96€ total). L-motors have more mounting possibilities that XL if you do not mind that L-motor is 1 stud longer (which is causing me a bit of headaches)...I know that I'll finish my projects, but at the moment I'm researching something else than LEGO, but I think I'll redesign my Fastrac using 2 XL motors, Syn-trac will be powered by 2 L-motos...telehandler by 1-Lmotor and I'll se after that what to do with harvesters projects... Look at bright side, you will be "collecting" some more experience before you concentrate on your crane project Regards

stringless three-section boom
1gor replied to suffocation's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Hm...7 x 7 section and inside 5 x 5 and then 3 x 3?, You should consider building two sections inside with technic bricks and use gear racks on them...that is what comes to my mi mind...it is something that awaits me in future when I decide to make my crane version to fit current MOCs (that are still in development phase) Regards Andrew -

Perhaps you can use gear+rack or something, question that actually comes to my mind at the first place is what dimensions should it be? -
It happens very often, so I try not to brake a part finished Moc. I Rather order needed pieces or buy smaller set with them.

If you want real BMW, take a look here Of all excitement about new sets we have nothing special about them yet...just some information that is speculation, so I suggest to calm down until some new info like images appear (at least about first half) @Magical Duck I also think that crane would be something like 8053 set but with different tires and it could use new LA from Liebherr R9800 -
[MOC] Hydraulic slewing crane T157/1
1gor replied to jrx's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Thank you Jan. Today I have finished about 1.1% of project that has highest priority because all data has to be multiply checked to be 100% sure. Kind regards -

I see, my friend. I have oposite situation, no time for Fastrac RC version 2, and telehandler medium size awaits 4 68.8x24 tires and Syn-trac waits for 2 servos to be tested and continued... Currently I'm on one bigger project... Regards -

I see that after several months (or even a year) you manage to finish it. Great effort Jan -
Generic machinery

I understand, the way I see that when using RC controller it is optimal to have pair of functions... -
Generic machinery
1gor replied to jorgeopesi's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
If I counted correctly, this way you have 3 functions via remote controller? So basically if you want to use linear actuators you get the same principle, but there are people who are specialized in pneumatics and people specialized in linear actuators -

Something like that I plan for my Fastrac RC v2; or is it better to use XL motor? Something like that I plan for my Fastrac RC v2; or is it better to use XL motor? IMHO optimal will be one L-MOTOR for drive, one m-motor for steering, one m-motor for compressor and one servo for valve. -

Nice, but IMHO it looks like it has a bit to longer wheelbase compared to rear sprockets... -

Lucky you, I'm not good in time organisation and I'm not good when I have to squeeze XL-motor, m-motor and Battery box in 19 x 9 x 7 space Perhaps your subconscious is trying to tell you to make autonomous machinery
