[TC18] Jeep Wrangler JL

Yes it is on limit or little above; second problem is very often in my MOCs; they are always one stud to wide -
[TC18] Big Block V8 Hotrod
1gor replied to 1gor's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
...but not as technic contest...if I manage to find this half a stud I'll ask @Jim if I can rejoin, but until than let's enjoy our hobby; still I'm working on several projects simultaneously; and then are 10 new 68.7 x 27 tires in my inventory tempting me to make another Unimog... -
[TC18] Big Block V8 Hotrod
1gor replied to 1gor's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
I'm very pleased with front axle; do much that if tempts me one day to build my own hotrod, wether like those that influenced this build or even with art deco bodywork, but first we have to recover from this Covid-19... I have managed to make it one stud more narrower but then wheels are to webely...and the rule says max.width 15 studs! Then axle is to wobely ( wheels are hanging...) I'll see with one wheel mod what I can do but I see our main "judge" jumping - this is illegal technique Guys thanks for praise. I'll continue to work on it -

[TC18] Big Block V8 Hotrod
1gor replied to 1gor's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
@brickless_kiwi I have made classic front axle and this time I'm 99% happy with it, so happy that I'll keep this hotrod assembled among my other MOCs because it fits 1:15 scale of others... ...and then I realized that hotrod is actually 15.5 studs wide at the front, so I have decided to finish it, but @Jim you can exclude my Hotrod from contest. @jorgeopesi I hope you like my front axle version @captainmib you can copy my rear axle solution if you want -
[TC18?] Plymouth XNR
1gor replied to Jeroen Ottens's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
@Jeroen Ottens perhaps for smaller headlights (1.5 studs) you can use this https://www.brickowl.com/catalog/lego-wheel-hub-11-2-x-8-with-centre-groove-42610 I plan to use them in one my future project Plymouth Cuda (1:15 - 17 studs wide...) -
[MOC] Some buggy - codename triangle
1gor replied to Jurss's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Currently I'm redesigning front axle to be like old school 1930s Ford model A hotrod to make shorter front part. Main problem is to find something that widens from 5 to 9 studs in 10 studs length... -

I have made something old school but have to test it; so far it looks cool for me. Important is that you are satisfied. Very often simplest solution is best solution. -

Looks very innovative solution for front part. I was thinking on something like this for my small hotrod last few days... -

Perhaps this idea could help you on front axle... -
[TC18] Trabant 601
1gor replied to Go-Kart's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Well when I was a child my parents best men had mini Cooper and driving in that car with small wooden sports wheel through curvy roads was cool, but other mentioned cars (specially CV2) gave you feeling like you were on small boat in the middle of the ocean during storm...but I think the best is to go back to topic. I would like if @Go-Kart could use new differential from 42109 set on his MOC. -

You are right in both cases But I think you can make better trabant. -

Do not get me wrong; but IMHO only positive characteristic of trabant is that it has straight lines that could be replicated with Lego parts without much complications. For all those "nostalgia" about Eastern cars I'll be reserved, because from my experience there were a positive things only like this example: Yugo 45 had one good feature - rear window heating system, so when it broke down and you have to push it in winter at least your hands were freezing -

Nerds you are right, it is a question of creativity and besides that it holds stiffer than with this @Parazels you have to loosen up a bit... -
