  1. What a wonderful tutorial! Someone should frontpage this X-D You know this from experience I take it?
  2. Well it's been brought up before a bunch, too many subforums make things way too complicated
  3. Hey Amanda, thanks for posting this here! Great job as always, they all look so useful, though by far my favorites are your oriental designs *wub* though the shield designs come in a close second *y* The best part about these would be a cheap way to increase the female population of almost any theme :-D When trying to make female figs it gets pretty annoying at the complete lack of diversity for female torsos... Anyway, thanks for sharing and I hope you post more customs around here.
  4. Well that's true, but it also isn't realistic for it to stand up straight, as there IS no support. You could get it to stand, you'd just have to get it to hunch over some, which could look cooler (I've always had a thing for hunched mecha)
  5. You know why? Because it makes it look like a gun, a big flying gun >:-( As you may know from my golden tower review, I hate flying guns... :-| Great review though, very entertaining!
  6. I used to have the same problem with boxes...at first I kept them all, then when I realized how stupid that was I kept just the Star Wars ones...then I realized that I don't get any real enjoyment out of them, and they were just a fire hazard. I know some people collect boxes, and they were all perfect, so I made a topic for a day to see if anyone wanted them, no replies. So I just threw them all out. It feels good to throw boxes away these days >:-)
  7. Judging by his movies, no :-| Welcome to EB, hope you'll enjoy it
  8. This definition of steampunk might help make it clearer what the genre is about, since it seems a lot of people can get confused :-P Often times this:
  9. I think they're both great entries! MOC 1: Pros: True essance of steampunk! greebly *wub* rockraiders tumble cage! I'm so stealing that 8-
  10. Click pic to see rumble comic! background Okay, as if Hinckley didn't talk enough smack, he's done it again, this time with member no.1 jipay... What is this fight about, unlike Sinner vs. Hinckley, this one is about color choices... :-/ To sum up, jipay not only insulted hinckley's MOC, he insulted Fabuland sets! >:-( >:-( >:-( Here are the rules of the MOC rumble: 1. Contestants may only use 50 pieces each (not including 1 minifig and 2 minifig accessories) 2. Theme chosen is "steampunk" which neither fighter has built... 8-
  11. Great scene! I too, wonder why you purchased so many SB, unless you just need random armies to kill X-D Great action scene, and like others have said, love the use of the umbrella *y* I still need to see this movie...
  12. You know I love this, right? *wub* I love how you incorporate so many practical things in here! Air locks, explanations about the weapons systems, even flaws such as lack of gravity (I can lend you a few artificial gravity generators if you want 8-| ), even the propulsion and landing gear! I know you said this was an old version, and while I can't wait to see the new one, I hope you don't mind a couple of suggestions for this next version? 8-| First of all blue is a fantastic color that isn't used nearly enough in space MOCs! I do think, however, it could use with a bit more color blocking, that is some accent colors (even just black or white or grey) to break up some of the blue. Similar to how you have the weapons and thrusters in different colors, integrate them into the rest of the ship so it doesn't just look like you didn't have those pieces in blue :-D On the same note some of the red and yellow seem to just come out of nowhere, are they a part of the overall color scheme, or just something you threw in to break up all the blue? If they're just something to break up the blue, maybe stick to one, and incorporate it throughout? Also, about the landing gear, maybe make it somewhat retractable? Leaving it on the outside makes it vulnerable in case it's hit...how will it land? Also I know you don't love the whole "studless" or "SNOTed" style, it can appear too artificial or something (at least I think that's what you said), but maybe this could use from a couple more angles? For instance those large slopes on the front wings, they have those straight lines sticking out of their sides if you know what I mean. You could always try SNOTing on some tiled plates to angle correctly fix that if you want, or even add a few functional greebs! BTW, what's the black thing on the bottom for? I hope this didn't sound too harsh or anything, there's so much about this that I absolutely LOVE and can't wait to see a finished version come fresh off the assembly line :-$ There's so much that I love here, that's why I want to see it become even better!
  13. Kind of :-D It's no problem, if you want to post your sigfigs, please post them in the link BM provided! I'll close this to avoid duplicates
  14. As UB said, the Fellows are nominated by other fellows, it's not about post count or how long you've been here, but how well you contribute. You can check this topic for more on all the groups ;-)
  15. Everything by Michael Bubble *wub*
  16. Er, it's great that you're on meebo but do you have anything else to say about yourself? Welcome to EB and I'll move this to the appropriate forum...
  17. I don't know if anyone else saw this, but besides the fact that the EF guys have new faces...do you think their eyes are a bit smaller than before? The pilots all look almost normal in their mechs, though that could be due to the fact that the white doesn't show up well. Sensei as normal has large eyes but...it's still smaller (at least I think), than previous years. Could it be that there was enough of a negative reaction to the HUGE eyes that they decided to tone it down a bit in order to please the people who thought it looked too cartoony, but keep the basic style in order to please the current fanbase?
  18. If that were true EB would've been taken down a long time ago :-D
  19. Thanks to our member legomilk for bringing us a link to the entire 2008 catalogue! There's so much to absorb...but you can discuss it here :-)
  20. If you love words so much, why didn't you bother reading the part where it said "I'll be adding to this over the weekend"? |-/ I think TroyTMoore summed it up nicely though *y*
  21. There's something to this set besides figs? 8-| I checked today and alas no luck. Hinckley, you said all targets should have it by Sunday, right? Can you beat the guys at my store up for me if they don't? Anyway, just figs for now is all I see, he said to check back periodically as he updates it
  22. Click on the picture And *wub*
  23. I figured I'd enter mine, even though it's old :-P Gallery here *sweet*
  24. Yup, these have been posted in the various forums and as news as they came out :-D Thanks for posting these! Though as they're already being talked about I'll lock this topic ;-)
  25. Welcome Buckshot! The best entrance we've had in awhile :-D I hope you'll stick around, and maybe post a full review of the set when you get a chance and figure out how to upload things? *wub*
