I love this so much it's silly. It just looks so real, and I love when sets look like they're not sets, but actually models. This looks like I could go downtown and find it on a street. I love the loading portion, the color schemes, even the inside *wub* Great job. The only thing I might possibly suggest is to make a "bricked in" window, you know what I mean?
-
Yours was like that too? I asked around and nobody else said they had that problem...I figured I just got a bad helm :-/ Even still, the armor is different IMO, can't see it rubbing off so easily

Nice collection! So far: 1 Final Joust 1 Catapult 1 Crossbow Attack 1 Skeleton Tower 1 Chess Set 2 Tic Tac Toe 2 Dwarf Mine *wub* Basically I waited until the real army builders (chess and TTT) came out. I definitely plan on buying more of each...and that mine is a thing of beauty

Unless you're playing with your metallic silver pieces extremely roughly I don't see how they wear...I've never had any problems with them for me
-
This was already mentioned in the appropriate thread yesterday, so I'll close this.

Hey, I just thought you guys might be interested in knowing that the parts for this will be available on the parts replacement page of S@H at the beginning of November.

Clearly it was named after me (last name is DeNise :-P) Fantastic ship with a fantastic name ;-) I love how real this looks, I hope you're having as much fun with your latest creations!

Ah, that's the one I was talking about too :-D The bullet helm is this one:

Someone in denmark was able to scan some high-res pictures of the catalog, and was kind enough to share them with us! He's pretty busy though, so is gonna scan them in stages. I'll update the first post with more pictures as I get them! Considering the size of the images, I'm just gonna link you Star Wars: 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 Indiana Jones: 1 2 3 4 Castle: 1 2 3 4 5 These are the same images from the catalog that we saw earlier, but much higher res (something I know a lot of you wanted!). Stay tuned for more themes ;-) Edit by Hinckley: Keep in mind these are prototype pics from the dealer's catalog, not final product shots. Sorry SW4J Sir!, I edited your post to avoid further confusion, and Sam was typing in bold! 8-|

You mean the bullet helm? I think we have every other helm...flared, visor, grill, kettlepot. I just want a metallic silver helmet to go with the metallic silver visor :-$
-
:'-( I'll be careful...won't have to be if they come in the impulse sets though X-D
-
It looks GREAT with the metallic silver visor *wub* Makes for some great Black Falcon Knights...as soon as I get a BF decal to put on the metallic silver armor...
-
Thanks buddy *wub* We also now have metallic silver armor. I guess they realized without the printing the pearl looked crappy...
-
You see the metallic euroarmor in your set, right? My computer's down so I can't upload a pic, so maybe you could take a side-by-side pic of the two armors to use?
-
I think the 99 thing is left over from when he'd make his birthday every day back when he first joined :-D Happy Birthday you two! I really hope you get a pension soon, Mister Phes, you shouldn't have to work so much at your age.
-
Does anyone have any idea why they went over to the metallic silver euroarmor for this set, instead of the crappy pearl silver euroarmor that they've used so far? (maybe some of that fine dwarf craftsmanship? ;-)). Also, if this is the case on plain armor, any idea if the Impulse sets will also feature the metallic-silver euroarmor? I hope so, it's wonderful together with the metallic silver visor for my Falcon Knight Generals *wub*

Hey I also said I love the Impartial :'-( Space ships usually call for more angles though, as they do tend to enter the atmosphere also (the Titanic never had to worry about wind resistence), so that point i-why am I talking about this? *wacko*
-
Well X-D It's not so much that there is a pre-conceived notion (other than there was a normal world, then some catastrophe struck leaving civilization in ruin), but rather that too much of anything is something to be careful of. Brown is fine, hell, a lot of brown is fine, however you always want a little bit of accent. Not to mention that some of it physically wouldn't be able to work (a wood gun would splinter to pieces). I by no means want to give the impression that I don't like it, as I said in my first post I do, but isn't that part of what this is for? To share ideas, discuss reasons and building techniques, and to improve? I know I, for one, welcome criticism if it isn't malicious... I'd still love to see the propulsion system though, SirNadroj :-P
-
People mainly use "advanced techniques" for unusual shapes and whatnot, and the titanic doesn't have any truly unusual shapes. Honestly if it were me building it I wouldn't know where to throw in SNOT unless I was really forcing it and using it in places it didn't have to be.
-
Good lord that's impressive 8-

I did a double-take when I saw this. More alphabet athos vigs? Yes *sweet* As normal I love this, the trans dark orange makes for a really nice atmosphere for the painter too
-
Well I know it's not a requirement of post-apoc, but it's common sense to have SOME brown. All bley/dark bley just looks like a poorly designed regular vehicle, not like "hey, we need something for support here but we're out of metal!" "Crap...just use that log over there, it'll have to do" Which I feel embodies the spirit of post apoc
