  1. Very nice, Tin7. I like Jean Grey the best. Are these based off of the movies or comics? By the way, you don't need a paypal account to shop on BL.
  2. Yeah, yeah... Uh huh... what was that you were saying about suck-ups...?
  3. Thanks for the feedback, guys, although this isn't a WIP at this point. I may go back and add some more details, but my main focus for now is my other entries. I appreciate your interest, though!
  4. Great entry, General! What I like: First of all, the blood in the water is displayed magnificently, especially where the shark is biting into the pirate. The flower piece used to represent a gun shot wound is a great idea. I also really like how you've positioned the shot soldier and the soldier and pirate being flung into the air by the cannon fire. What could be improved: The cannon ball idea is good, but I would suggest to scatter the the flying rubble a little more, to give that hectic look. Also, maybe a little more violence with the fight(s) on the main level, such as stabbing (with blood, of course), would be a good idea. Other than those little nitpicks, very good entry material, and good luck!
  5. Nice small entry, Snake. What I like: Lots of gore in this contest is never a bad thing, good job with that. The minifigs are also good, and the faces are perfect. The tree is a nice addition, as well. What could be improved: The action displayed is kind of hard to see... Did the pirate slice Lt. Norrington's head off, and then it flew towards the other soldier? And how did the soldier's hand come off? But overall, very gory MOC, and just what I like to see in this contest.
  6. "What did Greivous want from me?" repeated Butcher. "Dead. He can't let any 'Republic Scum' continue in his affairs, now could he? Oh about that... thanks..." "Don't worry about it" Oky Wan replied quickly. "That's what teams do." *** "Are you sure this is going to work?" asked Butcher. "Hmm, what did say the last time you asked me?" said Oky Wan, a little irritated with Butcher's [slight] lack of technology knowledge. "Yes, but even if this works, they're still going to shoot us down. Even with a cloaking device, that dark Jedi could probably sense us." said Butcher "Hm... maybe you're right, but it's the only way right now, unless you have a better plan". For once, Jim didn't have a plan. But neither was a bomb in a crate being pushed by a jet pack with massive laser bolts ready to fire at it such a good plan, either. "Alright, but we have to go fast. Just zoom across to the shuttle as as quickly as possible, then detonate the bomb once you're clear...." I sense MacK's death coming...
  7. Huh, that's strange, I feel like I've known that song my whole life... unless... I'm really two years old!
  8. Yes, this is when it happened: Although it is pretty old... so just scrap it and say that Benquin (wasn't she on the ship in orbit, though?) was the one who attacked Butcher... but it would be easier if it was Grievous. If you could just change your post a little bit, maybe if you came in while Butcher was fighting Greivous, and we could take it from there...
  9. Last week's was alright, just a "learning episode" for Sarah and Cameron. Cameron's character development is coming around nicely, though. Yesterday's was an awesome one. Martin was a very good character, and I wish he could have stayed in the show a bit longer. That scene when they blew up the Terminator was great. One part that was dumb, though, was the kid that Sarah saved from the Terminator. He was... about nine years old, and talked like he was a grown adult... kind of a punk, too.
  10. X-Men 1 and 2... I liked them when I was younger, but now the action seems cheesy and lame... the story wasn't great either... at least they didn't make Wolverine have a dorky mask and tights.
  11. Dream On- Aerosmith (I had no idea it was so new... 2007 on GH aerosmith, it says... must be a mistake...) Chop Suey- System of a Down Last Resort- Papa Roach Cut my life into pieces This is my last resort suffocation, no breathing... EDIT: Check out this cool Edit 2:
  12. Hey guys, what about Grievous? Remember, he found me in that conference room? I was going to make a post about that, but now we're past that... Perhaps it could still work if you (Oky Wan) could change your post a little bit when Butcher is found out-cold? What do you think?
  13. Nice, I like the paintball gun, Colt, and MGL are my picks, although the longsword and pirate accessories are cool. Nice to see BA expanding on more and more weapons these days...
  14. Nice little entry, Rook, here's my opinion... What's good: The sand and water tiles are very attractive, and the coconut is a good use of a brown head. The way the rat is positioned makes it look innocent and scared, with the pirate staring at it. What could be improved: Like others have said before me, your entry doesn't really feel violent or piratey. Although you would lose that look of innocence in the mouse, it would be better if you had the pirate eating, stabbing, or doing any other cruel act to the mouse.
  15. Nah, Sinner all the way . Nice rules, Hinckley, I bet it took you months to make them all up. . But seriously, I'm looking forward to some insane entries.
  16. Nice, I really like that rapier. I always thought that the Lego cutlass was a tad short. Hopefully these make it into the mass-production stage.
  17. Awesome, count me in this one. I think this is one of my stronger points, so hopefully I'll provide some good feedback for those MOCers out there.
  18. Damn, no elves... but if that's the sacrifice to pay for having that awesome Village Square and whats to come, then hey, I'm not complaining! Hopefully TLG will change the tiaras so that the hair doesn't have to have a big hole in it. Maybe they could make it like a headband, where the crown just clips on and off...
  19. Thanks a lot for this article, Strawberry! I found that the yard sales part was most useful to me, because a lot of those are around my neighborhood. Unfortunately, I don't have many retail stores around, so that won't be an option for me... but thanks for bringing this to my attention, I always wanted some older sets.
  20. I know, I was kidding... Ah, thanks for clearing that up, Bonaparte.
  21. Thanks for the dual review, TacoMan. I think I might have gotten the Obi-Wan one, because I have that fig, but I'm not sure... he's very worn out, and that's the only set with him in one that I would have... Anyways, these two sets are very nice, and not too expensive either... how I miss the old days with the small SW sets...
  22. In one of the Castle 2009 threads, CopMike stated that more pics would be up around 8:00 GMT time. Although I'm not sure any SW will appear, but keep your fingers crossed.
  23. Nice comic so far, Penguin. Good story line, and also nice lighting and shaking effects. I also like how you flipped over a baseplate for a different texture. I'll look forward to future installments of this comic of yours.
  24. Thanks, Hinckley, this looks very nice. 2009 keeps getting better and better... Hmm, I don't think that would work too well, TLG should just stick with the original, IMHO.
  25. Yeah, probably. Changed, again. I personally thought that the Bad Kid group was more... appropriate and humiliating, and "Taking A Break" is a little... I don't know, childish? But more humiliating... why don't you make a "Taking a Time-Out" group, while you're at it, staff.
