Nice find, Skinny Boy. How do you make it? Hmm, not quite what I'm looking for, SlyOwl, but thanks anyway!

Have a good one, you two, and gets lots of Lego!

The Star Wars Comic Game-Season One
JimBee replied to JimBee's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
The strange being rose. It was hideous, and looked noting like Adam. Jim slowly pulled out his pistol from his belt. He had found all of his equipment in a room on the way in. The thing looked at Jim, and surprisingly quickly, knocked Butcher to the wall. The commander quickly got up and shot twice, dead center in the heart area. But it didn't seeto do any damage, and the last thought of Butcher's was Dammit, not again... -
Thanks for the feedback so far, guys. I agree that the stone door is out of place, but it's the only one I had. I think I am going to keep the grille piece grey, though, since it could be a grey painted boat. Oky Wan, I don't think the name of the contest is meant to be taken literally. Of course, you can do a Pillage the Village MOC, but I think the name is just a clever rhyme, and the contest is for anything and everything gory and cruel that pirates do. Although I am not the one to decide this so...

Both the Eurythmics and Marilyn Manson versions of "Sweet Dreams". Great song, it sounds like a MV for a Bond movie. The Marylin Manson MV is really creepy, though...

Thanks for the ideas so far, guys. ~VBBN~, what fence pieces are you talking about in the Eiffel Tower set? Iamded, could you please provide a pic/ link to those nets? I don't know what those nets are. I only have two grille pieces like that, but good idea.

Vig. 18d Hi everyone, here is my first entry for the Pillage the Village contest, the vignette I like to call "Hang, ya scurvy Dog!". It takes place on a pirate ship in a cell, and displays a poor old fellow who happened to have lots of precious valubles on him. Unfortunately for him, he crossed path with the evil Captain Furious and his crew... Our twisted Captain goes below deck to check on his tortured prisoner. Poor bloke just couldn't stand the pain of the knife in his stomach, and the ring of blades wrapped around him, as well his his leg and arm being ruthlessly torn off, and ended up hanging himself... Furious watches as the lurking creatures eat up the limbs of the victim... blood drips to the floor... Blood is everywhere, and the bugs fill up on the leg that was ripped off by the chain. A scummy crew member is curious. He peeks through the floor spacing, and almost vomits as a result. The place is crawling with creepy-crawlies. ------------------------------------- So that's my small entry for the PTV contest, I hope you like it. Yes, it's very gory and violent, but that's the whole reason for the contest, isn't it? :pir-skull: Feel free to leave some feedback!

Good skunk! Great use of those black beards! A little suggestion of mine to give him more white on his tail. I wonder what you're planning next? Maybe a fox would be cool... In any case, I look forward to your PTV entry, I can tell it's going to be unique.

Pretty cool, looks a bit like Anakin's JSF. The only suggestions that I would make is to change the astro droid color, to maybe green. Also, the boosters stick out, maybe change them to trans0blue? Other than that, good idea.

Very nice post, Oky Wan! So now you are temporarily out of your dark ages? I look forward to seeing some of your pics. Yes, I have agreed with DSR to have one of his characters make an appearance in the game, since he is unable to join as a player. We'll have his British clone (214, I think) be a clone from the remaining on Hoth. I still have to work out the details, but expect to see this soon. -
Hm, true, but I'm thinking of sunken ships. You know how they have all of that green moss and coral on them? I was thinking along those lines.

Hi, I was wondering if anyone could suggest some good metal fence techniques to me. I am talking about the aluminum ones with the criss-cross pattern, like this. I would be most grateful for some ideas.

Thanks, Star Sam! I hope these hit public stores rather than just the real buildings' gift shops. CopMike, I knew about the initial two sets, the Sears Tower and JH Center, but I don;t remember the Space Needle and Empire State Building...

Nice entry, and welcome to EB. Things that are good: The parrot is very nice, as is the boat and dock. The crate and barrels (hehe) are also clever. Nice SNOT base. Things that could be better: The green 1x1 round plates under the dock are a little distracting, but I think the sand green 1x1 bricks are fine, maybe they're representing seaweed or rust? Overall, good small entry.

Perhaps you should read the whole topic first? He tried to quote Mister Phes, and replied to him. Mister Phes asked if anyone could see the pic. But I agree, a Flickr or BS account are great ways to upload pics to your post, without using the attachment system (which you have a limit of space).

Wow, spectacular review, JopieK! The way you've told this review like a story, excellent! At first, I thought this set was a MOC, but then I checked the title again... it looks like an awesome set, one which I had never heard of before. Not too expensive either... Keep these great reviews coming!

Thanks for the superb review, Dunamis!! The elevator seems awesome, as does the throne room. The amount of figs is amazing, and it's all of the little details that make this set one of the best in SW. It's good when the build goes fast and smoothly, and in sections. Overall, I would definitely get this set if I had the money.

Nice! I like Firenze, Fudge, the bus driver (not Stan), Tonks, Ollivander, Ms. Hooch, Cho, and Luna. But they are all great.

Back on topic, I think that pretty much any game from Nintendo (the classics, anyway) would work really well. I honestly have no idea how it would sell, but it would be fantastic. They could do either a sub-theme for Metriod, Mario, Zelda, Kirby, Pokemon (although I wouldn't buy this one), DK, and other game series, or they could do an all-star theme, with one or two sets from each series. Or even better, a SBB theme.

Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles -- SPOILER ALERT !
JimBee replied to SWMAN's topic in Culture & Multimedia
5150 Lego, the pregnant lady is the neighbor of the people who used to live in the house that Sarah bought. I'm really confused about the preview for next week. Is Cameron really a human impersonated by a Terminator? Or are there two of them? -
Are you talking about real chickens or BL orders? As for chickens, no. I suppose I could hide some in my room... nah. My cat would eat them anyway.
-
I'm going for a battle damaged look. Yep, I already gave him a shotgun. Maybe I should give him those star-shaped glittered shades from T2? Nah, I haven't seen the Alien movies (AVP, though).
-
Did you check for bombs? As for rare pieces, I'm not really sure. I haven't seen a lot of them, but I'm sure they're in some sets. The teal lamp posts, orange perfume bottles, and the sand green vest stick out to me.

Sets with sorted bags; worth the extra expense?
JimBee replied to Siegfried's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Yes, looking for a single Lego piece in a huge jumble is quite annoying. I voted 5%, because I agree with you, Sinner, more than that is way too much. For a few more dollars, I would do it to have sorted bags, but a few minutes of my time won't hurt, not for more than that. -
