  1. *whistles* Wow, amazing set! I cannot wait to grab this, and only for $100! If you consider the price-per-part ratio (10 cents= 1 part) and all of the great new molds, this set is a real bargain. I'd say about $100 cheaper than it would normally be. There are tons of new molds here, like the fish, cows, flames, and spyglasses. The figs are awesome, as well, especially the female peasant in the green, serving up cheese. I also like the traveller with the dark brown hood. The fruit stand, cheese stop, and water wheel all add on to this set's coolness, as well as the interior of the buildings (bed, stool, fireplace, etc.). The new flame are nice, but hopefully they wont fully replace the old kind.
  2. Very, nice, Master of SNOT! What's good: The SNOT, the palm trees, the buried imperial... all very good! I also really like your wave technique. What could be improved: The bugs seem... a little different, maybe a crow would be a better choice? Also, like others have said, perhaps a little light blue transition between the shore and the water would be good. But overall, great MOC, I always enjoy SNOT.
  3. Wow, this is fantastic! The whole thing is gigantic, and with all the cows, peasants, and other details, I really want this one. The price isn't too bad, either...
  4. The Hunted. Worst. Action. Movie. Ever. (IMO, of course ). Did they really think this was good? C'mon, a crazy guy with a rock isn't much of a story .
  5. Alright, thanks, ~VBBN~, I can wait.
  6. Ah, me too... And also Plush- STP (When the dogs begin to smell her...) Hate Me- Blue October
  7. Maybe it has something to do with you being optimistic all the time? Y'know, there's this great thing called a dictionary... Not that I'm sure it's a word or not...
  8. What's Good: All of the detail is great, it looks a lot like the Caribbean at the time. What could be improved: I know it's a WIP, but I definitely needs lots of blood and... pillaging. That's what the contest is for, to show how sick and cruel pirates can be, so maybe you should make it gory? Really gory...
  9. Again, very good chapter, Sandy! I really love all of the time that you've clearly put into the story; all of the details are amazing! The wizard part was a bit confusing at first, but the dragon really adds to the story. Nice idea for scales, by the way. I can't wait for the next chapter, with the dragon duel and all the other good stuff that finales have.

Nice MOC, Rook, it looks a bit like the health dropship from ROTS. The overall ship is great, but the bubble turret and canopy don't fit in. Very good.
  11. I don't know about some of those, but I would love the German BP. WWII army MOC, ON!
  12. Nice topic idea, very interesting stories so far. For me, it all started with a Star Wars set, when I was six or so. One of the first, the Jedi Duel, with Darth Maul and Qui-Gon Jinn with a little tower. It was given to me by a good family friend who was babysitting me at the time. I remember building it with her nephew, and always dropping the pieces. But before or after that set, I'm not sure when, the green "Swamp" Technic Robo Rider came into my possession, but I forget how... anyways, these two sets got me interested in Lego, and I soon got a few other sets. Unfortunately, that didn't last long, and I bought Bionicle instead. I collected every color/ type of Toa up until Bionicle went goofy in 2004 (IMO). I entered a dark age for about two years, but then got back in in 2006, with Revenge of the Sith sets, including Anakin's JSF, ARC-170, and TIE Interceptor. I was kind of on off after that. But one day in Summer '07, I decided to revisit the Lego aisle, and was instantly brought back to Lego after seeing the Clone Battle Pack. I bought both that and the CIS BP that day, and became interested in Lego news. I started with MOCpages and Brickset for news, and often heard of "Eurobricks". And now here I am, enjoying Lego once again.
  13. Very nice MOC, Erdbeereis, very peaceful, or "zen". The water and fall are done beautifully, excellent idea of using the clear plates on the blue plate underneath. I also like how you didn't SNOT the water, the studs give more texture in this case. The flowers are also good and plenty, I like how you mixed light pink, dark pink, and white. I also like the lily pads. The stone path, bonsai trees, and rock formations are very well done, and all of these parts of nature give your MOC a very peaceful look, and the fisherman helps. A couple things that I am not too fond of in this, however, are the samurai and the shed behind him. Of course, this is only a personnel nitpick, but I think they both take away from the nature and nirvana of this MOC. Maybe you could improve the shed by giving it a curved roof? But altogether, an excellent piece of work, I always enjoy Japanese/ Chinese creations.
  14. I was just about to quote myself from that. Exactly what I would say, with the amazing contest and many people pirate-ifying their avatars/ sig figs, a pirate month would be perfect for October. Plus, the Carribean oceans and beaches would be a nice reminder of the summer...
  15. Oh, I don't like this one... no wonder why they keep those CDs underground.
  16. Hm, no, this has never happened to me, but it has happened to other fig parts, and these are more fragile, so would imagine they would break easily. I would suggest to not interchange or play with them too much, although TLG might want to improve on this...
  17. [Present, CIS base] Jim woke suddenly. His head felt like he'd landed on the ice again. How long had he been out? His solar-powered time-teller told him about five minutes, which he was thankful for. Luckily, no droids or mutants found him. Then he remembered: The door.... He slowly got up, and walked towards the door. No, it wouldn't be this unprotected. He decided to open it, just in case. He was right, it was just a conference room. But was that small, minuscule tingling he felt deep inside of him before? His question was answered quickly, with a mechanical, ominous voice. "Hello, Republic scum..." I wonder who that could be...?
  18. Thanks, Skelotic, I think I will use this technique if any other ones aren't suggested.
  19. +1 for ExoBuilder, please, and +1 for lego12, also!
  20. Argh, I'm late... Happy B-Day though!
  21. Nice pirate sig-figs, guys. This makes me wonder- why don't we have a Pirate month? The last theme month we had was Indy in June, and the PTV contest is giving the perfect opportunity to celebrate this.
  22. I'm confused, Oky Wan. I thought you already knew we were going to the facility, and had the coordinates. By the way, I was just filling the gap before Adam's post when he went to the future. Sorry Adam, I thought he was supposed to be deformed, I kinda go the wrong idea. I picture (in Lego form) would help to get the idea of this guy. [Future, Rebel base] "I haven't seen you in years, Loken, and I must say that it is good to do so" said the older Butcher. He had changed quite a lot since the time machine incident. He was more weary and battle-hardened than before. He seemed more alert, yet tired. He was aging quickly, and soon he would retire from military affairs. "Jim! The time machine, it's going to change everything!" exclaimed Garviel. "If we don't stop it, the Republic will never exist, and no hope will be shown!" "Which is why we have to send you back. As you can see, the time machine didn't work, as most of us are still alive. But something almost as bad has taken place, and I fear that this is the end." said Butcher. "What...? What's happened?" [butcher explains about the Galactic Empire, the fall of the Jedi, and the Rebel Allience] "And that is why you must go back. While this fate is not in our favor, the time machine will cause a much worse destiny. There is still a glimmer of hope in this one. We don't know what it is yet, but there still is..." "Then come with me, you know all about what is going to happen, you'll know how to defeat them," said Loken. "Unfortunately, I can't." Butcher said. "One Butcher already exists in your time, it's impossible to have more". "Then at least tell me what to do to stop it" said Loken. "I'm afraid I can't do that either". "Well, why not?! You were there, you know what to do!" Garviel was clearly getting irritated. "Because, we already stopped it once, but it will be different the second time. This time machine needs to be stopped, and you are the one who needs to figure out how. It's messing up everything; the past, the future, the present... who knows what will happen when different destinies collide? It could be the end of the galaxy, which is why you need to go back. Tell the others what happened here." Butcher said. "Okay, you're right, but how will I get back?" Garviel asked. "Well...." Whoops, cliffhanger! Simonjedi, I know you wanted to stay in the future for a few more posts, so go ahead and do those things that you wanted to do before you travel back in time to the present.
  23. Oh shush... and Bond is not stupid! That's better. And relax, remember that this is my tribute, and the movies that I think were awesome (movie series). I like your suggestions, but please don't take it to the extreme. Almost done with that yellow version, this time with more characters.
  24. Thanks, Strawberry, and congrats on becoming a Fellow! Yeah, I couldn't really think of a more interesting name... Perhaps the thing that you think is missing is some walls on the sides? They kind of make it look bare, but then I think it would be too crowded and too hard to take pics of. Thanks. I haven't seen those movies, but it's good to know this is that scary . I actually had this in the works as an alternate chamber entry about a month ago (long after the contest ended). I originally just had it as the bad kid being hanged, but then this wonderful contest came up. :pir-skull:
  25. I don't think they're very hard to find... but maybe your country has little of these. They can be found in office supply stores, and sometimes department stores like Walmart or Target.
