I never said that thought he was lying. He might have seen a chrome helmet, but maybe it was a special mold, or he just thought it was chrome.

Sure, that works. Not yet public, do you mind deeplinking it? -
Happy B-Day, guys! Have fun!

The Star Wars Comic Game-Season One
JimBee replied to JimBee's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
The amount of players is limitless, within reason. The game will remain within the clone wars, with the exception of occasional time travel. I'll see what can be done. I don't think that the hair will show up much under the hood, anyway. -

Alright, since it seems that we're pretty much done, this is the End of Chapter Three You can stop talking in different colors, now, until the story starts up again. And, anyone who wants to join may do so now, the deadline for entering is Friday, the 24th of October, so eleven days. I'll try to make a banner, but CCP (Crystal Clear Productions, the people who helped make our banner last time) seem to be busy. If any of you want to make one, please, feel free to do so. As for outfit changes, mine will be my regular one, which is a tan Naboo pilot torso (a Nazi one will do as well) with Indy legs, a regular smiley head, and a brown squashed police cap, like the one in the N-1 Starfighter. Brown hands, please, if possible. Regular weapons, too: Harpoon gun with grey EF robot hand on barrel, blue lightsaber (used rarely), small black handgun (found in most Agents sets), and the usual gadgets (mostly comm links, sometimes tracking devices and other necessities). Adam, is it okay if I use that Castle head that I've used before? It looks very similar to your choice, just with black hair. And yes, it is okay to change your costume to black, or any color, but I strongly suggest colors that don't stick out in the location that we're currently in. Simonjedi, I don't have the Apprentice torso, so I'll just be sticking with the rebel torso all the way. As for the Jedi thing, I was the first one! Well, not actually a Jedi, but a slightly force sensitive being. Plus, I barely use my lightsaber in the story. It's okay to have a lightsaber, but please don;t take it to the extreme, such as a superhuman with unlimited life or an expert lightsaber duelist. Actually, I don't care if you're a Jedi, as long as it's realistic. And no, not everyone can be a Jedi. Did I cover everything...? Remember, new joiners join now! I suggest current players put that in their sigs. I am, at least. -
Great MOC, LuxorV! What I like: The whole thing is great, and I like the wooden textures. The chain, hanged innkeeper, and pole are all very good, as well as the arches and slants on the ceilings. What could be improved: Like Zorro said, a little more color would be nice in this entry. It looks a little dull, so maybe some food or a lantern would work well. Also, the rope is positioned a little strangely, maybe you want to make it so that it looks like it's more secure? The building also looks just a little unstable, but no big deal. But overall, good entry, and really shows the cruelty of pirates. Good luck!
-
Again, cool entry, Richard. What I like: The mast and chains are great, as is the scared maiden. What could be improved: Both the water and shark fin look very artificial in this instance. The SNOT blue mixed with white is a good idea for something like a waterfall, but not, unfortunately, for this. I would suggest you change those two things a bit. Not much to say, I know, but this is a small entry, so not much to talk about. Good luck!
-
Very nice, Richard! What I like: The building is really good, it reminds me of Italy. The snot is also good; not to much and not too little. The stones on the sand path are a clever idea. The interior of the tower is good, too crowded, but enough detail to make it interesting. The two guards that are actually paying attention are positioned well, and the two guards fooling around and playing "Rock, Paper, Scissors" is quite funny. The stealing pirates are also good. What could be improved: The mixing of colors and textures om the wall is good, but it just doesn't work with old brown and new brown on the tree, or mixing dark red and red on the sun shade. The black torches take away from the calm look of the whole thing. On a side note, this really is a great looking MOC, and it represents the Caribbean or England very well. I wish you good luck on the contest!

Wow, amazing. This is just spaectacular, with all of the little details such as the footprints and bullet holes in the snow... the control room... I could go on, but it would take all day!

General Magma, I don't think he means this to be quite so literal. While 6000 troopers would be impressive, I don't think anyone is willing to spend a quarter million dollars just to impress... I think about 20 battle packs is as far as anyone should go... but if you want to buy more, be my guest...

Yeah, me too... While I believe the part about Ashoka's fighter, the chrome helmet is hard to accept to be real, considering it's very hard to find any chrome pieces in the last few years. Chrome lightsabers only appear in the limited edition sets, and that's about it. So, it would make little sense for TLG to make a chrome clone helmet. Plus, it would look very out of place with the other troopers.

They did, but Harry Potter was around before the flesh to yellow licensed color change, so any Harry Potter figs before 2004 were yellow, and any after that were flesh. But anyways, very stunning collection you have, Sandy! So do you have every single HP set out there? I only have the Knight Bus and the the secret statue doorway. Some good figs in there, including the official ones. I definitely agree that the customs need work, but I know that you will come through. Like WhiteFang said, hopefully we'll see some good reviews from you of these great sets, if you ever get the time to do so.

Hm, since there are not that many Brickfilms that I have seen on this site, they all kind of fit with their respective themes, and if nothing else, the "Other Themes" forum. So I voted no, but it's great if this idea draws more Brickfilmers. By the way, you might want to change your poll so that it's not multiple answer.

The Star Wars Comic Game-Season One
JimBee replied to JimBee's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
"Guys, the plan was to *sneakily* scuttle over to this ship, grab Garviel, plant the bomb, and run. Apparently, we failed..." Jim Butcher said. "Wait, what's that?" he said as a figure with a red lightsaber ran towards the group of five. Butcher instinctively grabbed his lightsaber and ignited it. It turned out that the figure was Benquin, and Garviel was floating in the air in front of her. She obviously was using the force to lift him, but to do what? Butcher soon found out when Loken was thrown towards the group. He landed painfully on the hard, metal floor. "Everyone, find a ship, there's no way that we can take all of them! Adam, help me defend Oky Wan as he starts the bomb, and the rest of you find a multi-passenger ship. Take Garviel with you." Butcher yelled over the sound of blasters from the droids, the hum of three lightsabers, and the deafening blow of cannon fire from the Republic and CIS ships. As Adam and Butcher blocked laser bolts, Oky Wan started to set up the bomb, while Thok carried Loken to a two-seater CIS fighter and MacK took a Droid Dropship. Benquin charged towards Adam, and slashed out. The blow caught Adam off guard, and was cut in the arm, fortunately not too deep. Nonetheless, he screamed out in pain at the burning. Butcher attacked back with a quick stab, but missed. "Kenobi, leave it, it's too late. We'll be dead in moments, get to a ship." Butcher said. Oky Wan happily obliged while ducking, diving, and dodging blaster fire, and headed towards a medium-sized attack shuttle. Butcher and Adam slowly backed up towards the ship as Oky Wan fired up the engines. The dark Jedi was surprisingly fast, and the two lightsaber wielders had a hard time blocking them all. After about 15 seconds of blocking, they finally reached the cruiser door, and jumped in just before it took off. In the cruiser, Adam and Jim were catching their breath. "So, did you finish the bomb?" Jim asked. "No, we're going to have to take our chances with the ship chasing after us" Oky Wan replied. "Then our main priority is to get back to the main Cruiser and rendezvous with the rest of the group. We're in bad conditions as it is, with the Cruiser being damaged and Garviel being injured." Butcher said. "Especially since we have no communications, not even comm links." put in Adam. When they reached the Republic Attack Cruiser safely, the group found that the situation was not any better than they had left it. The Banking Clan warship was gaining on the RAC, and causing heavy damage. "Our only choice is to turn tail and run, and jump to hyperspace as soon as we can." explained Wouwie. "Then that's what we should do. Set coordinates to Felucia. Can we get a time estimate?" said Butcher. "About 10 minutes, I would say" said someone who looked quite out of place. "And who would you be?" asked Jim. "Jamie Dodger, sir, or JD for short. I'm from the future." he said with an eerie tone. "Uh huh..." Butcher replied. Yep, he thought. This is getting weirder and weirder. "They're gaining on us, there's no way that we're going to make it into hyperspace" said Wouwie. Butcher was at a loss of what to do or say. As the group argued over what they should do, Thok noticed that MacK was gone. "Hey, guys, have you seen MacK?" he said. Everyone paused. "Mack? Ma-ack?!" Oky Wan called out. "Wait, what's that on radar?" Wouwie asked, pointing at the green monitor. A little blip was moving away from the RAC and towards the CIS ship. Butcher gasped, "Oh, no". They all rushed to the back window, just in time to see the Dropship land in the hangar bay. About 30 seconds later, there was a massive explosion engulfing the whole CIS ship, sending it down to Hoth. Butcher noticed two small ships fly away as the whole thing went up in flames....... Goodbye, MacK (Cue closing credits). Yes, this is the end of Chapter 3, unless you guys have something else to add. I apologize for not being clear in my previous posts about the bomb and all... I wasn't quite sure what was going on myslef, but I hope this post cleared everything up. As for contacting "Da Death Star", I don't think that him and "The Death Star" are the same person, as you are not allowed to have multiple accounts. I'll have to ask a staff member if this becomes an issue, but for now, it's up to him to post here. Skipper 24 will be temporarily removed for now, but not killed off. He should remain with the ship until he decides to come back. I may add MacK's version of the last part of this chapter... I will start ope registration in one or two days after you guys have said whatever you want to say in the story. I'll also do the normal things at the end of the chapter- costume changes (possibly), banners, and new players. -
Very nice! My personnel favorites would have to be The Drowned, The Iron Golem, The Faceless Seraph, and The One Eyed Gremlin. The photoshopping and lighting are also very good!

Nice entry, NewRight. What I like: The hectic vibe is great, really one of the things we want to see. The wall with the drains is very good, and the huge flame ball is eye-pooping. What could be improved: There really isn't a lot of blood or violence, which I would be sure to include. Nice entry, though, good luck on winning!
-
Spectacular work, DNL! The finished product just blew my mind! What I like: Pretty much everything. Very, very detailed, with lots of great techniques such as the cannon firing. The rock cliff, water, and buildings all show extreme dedication to this contest, and I wouldn't be surprised if you won a prize. What could (and probably not) be improved: Hm, perhaps it is just a tad bit Castle based, but definitely not a big deal at all. Maybe some of the swords aren't fitting either... But overall, the best entry that I've seen so far in this wonderful contest, so good luck!
-
Very nice, Zepher, here's my critiquing, if you want it. What I like: The bird is ingenious, very clever use of the banana. The pirate is also good with the sword attached by the rubber band. The scrambled planks are pretty good, as well. What could be improved: I'm not really sure what the gangplank is supposed to be like because of the blue stripes. Are those water streaks or just paint? Either way, I suggest you change it so it doesn't blend in so much. Also, perhaps you should change the head of the soldier so he doesn't look so scruffy, unless you're trying to make a point of showing how poor he is. One little nitpick would be the dark bley studs under the dock, the kind of stick out, so maybe change those to brown. But very good wntry, and good luck on the contest!

First off, I apologize for not responding to this quicker, it's just that this forum is so busy lately! Thanks, Zuloo. Let's just say that the captain hasn't checked on the prisoner for a few months... nah, it's just to make the MOC creepier. Thanks, Adam! 1. Hm, perhaps your right, I'll keep that in mind while building my other entries. 2. I agree that the door is out of place, but I personally think the rest is fine. The grey floors are painted that way, and the broken support is just wood. 3. Hmm... yeah, I suppose you're right, but I was going for the 'damaged' look in this one. 4. Cruelty: yes, I think so Pillaging: no, but I'm not worried, since I wasn't informed of a disqualification.

Actually, it's never coming out in stores, just Shop at Home.

MOC: A Dwarven Blacksmith in the Crownie Castle
JimBee replied to cagri's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Nice blacksmith shop, Cargi! The water bucket wit the sword dipped in is very clever, with all of the blue studs representing the suds... . The fireplace is undoubtedly the best part, especially the chimney. I also very much like the intricate wall designs. An "outstanding" grade from me. -
Haha, very nice. The frog watches as the Jester tortures that poor victim under the bed...

[Comic] 222nd Legion Chronicles - Dedicated Topic
JimBee replied to Clonecommando007's topic in Brick Flicks & Comics
Really excellent comic, CC007!! I like the chain gun a lot, and the action is displayed very well. The fake snow was a great idea for the fog, it really makes the whole thing come alive. Your clone regiment is good too. -
Ah, okay, I knew there was something wrong...

Oh, whoops... I thought it was about Jipay's Fabuland MOC with the princess freaking out at the rat on the platter... if anyone remembers that...
