  1. Seriously, does no one understand the bloody concept of using the spoiler tag? (thank you those that have, further above.)
  2. So far, I've seen one thing said that could have been worded a bit better (constraction crap), otherwise I don't see why criticism can't be given for the images at hand? Not to mention, this isn't the 'suck up to 2015 rumoured sets' thread, it is the discussion of such sets, where people should be able to type of their dislike of any sets as well as their like for them. There is no need to make a separate thread for it, as that is completely pointless, and simply moving something out of sight that you don't want to see. You are not the only person to use this forum. That being said, I feel people could be a bit more respectful of other people's like for the constraction sets and not be so blunt about them where it isn't necessary. I personally completely dislike them and therefore care not to know anything about them due to their ' half finished skeletal actionfigure-esque' look to them. General Grievous is the only one this look works for as he looks like that in the film anyways, and I may find myself getting him on sale purely because I think it works for Grievous really well.
  3. Pretty much this, he was bearded up you could only really see his cheeks, forehead and eyes, and that doesnt give much of a whole face. Didnt realise he was 80 when he did the PT. I also didnt realise that first order trooper was a render, actually thought it was a cleanly pictured and edited for effect; physical thing. While grievous naturally takes to the constraction build style because of how he is anyway, i think the trooper is close second in styling and looks. He seems done better than all the rest for some reason.
  4. That is extremely sad. I only remember him as looking like Count Dooku. Just googled pictures of him recently, oh my jeese he had aged! I never even realised how much! On another note, @NNOPMOC, as far as I am aware, all the other figures have already been revealed apart from the Boba or Jango Fett (I can't remember which it is as I'm not keen on any of them apart from Grievous), so you should be able to find images floating around somewhere of the other 5... unless this is for the second wave?
  5. While I really like the ship in the film, I don't feel that the new one is improved enough over the old to justify spending the price on it. The old one is a good enough rendition of it, and still doesn't look dated because of the 'build'.
  6. I think I remember 10215 being on sale for £60 and umm'ed and ahhh'ed about it for ages... til it disappeared... then forgot about it. It's a nice enough looking set, but... I don't know, I just never fell in love with the ship enough to think anything of it. The 10215 is a good design, with good details. It just doesn't jump out at me though...
  7. I do feel that the vulture droid would make a good UCS set. It wouldnt have to be massive, but bigger than the currejt version by about twice the size... Hmmm... I am already 3/4 through a UCS naboo n1 (not the size of a minifig scale one, but typical size of a UCS), but got stuck and put it to one side (ldd only, due to colours). But i might finish that and crack on with a vulture droid. All those pivoting points and its transformability makes me want to make one :D
  8. Please, do not take this apart, ever! I was going to say my favourite part is the mouth because you can just look at it and almost feela like it is a real mouth, not Lego. It has such a life like feel to it, but then i look at all the other parts of it... The nose... Those eyes... The fluffy ears, the white spiky neck hair on the side... It all looks exceptionally life like!!! You have an exceptional talent for capturing animals lifelike look. Dont ever lose it!
  9. Having owned a mini previously (well, 3 :D ) i really like this, it is good for the small size you have done it in. But just one thing that im not keen on is the bonnet/scuttle panel area :( it looks like it has an evil peraonality that wants to run people over!
  10. That is really decent! TLG definitely missed a trick with the chrome arm. That looks exactly how it should be and TLGs version looks like a cheap quality attempt! Considering also, you did this with current available parts, id say spot on.
  11. While i semi agree, that there may be potential for nice ucs sets (Anios AAT is a nice example), i think the fact too many people are sooo anti PT that they would cut their nose to spite their face, and turn down getting a nice UCS set purely because it is from the PT.That is the 'impression' i get from seeing some peoples disdain of the PT and only collecting OT sets, despite the fact they actually did some nice sets like the AT-TE, and the RGS's, and the drop ship, general grievous' ship, i also think the previous iteration of the N1 was pretty good, but each to their own. I do think however the droid control ship would look pretty boring. The DSII is only 'nice' because it is iconic (I dont actually like it, I think it is bland. Not because of Legos design of it, but it is just a big ball with bits missing.) Now the droid ship, is like a grey donut with a bite out of it, and a ball in the middle. Not really much you can do with that, other than a couple antennas on the top of the ball...
  12. I can't imagine much more than £1000 to £1500 at most, due to the ability to bricklink it for less
  13. When you have your wanted list, and you select to 'shop by wanted list', when you get into the shop, look on the far left where all the types of parts are listed. Look at the top of that list, just below the 'search' bar, where it says Show All Items this store has on my Wanted List (All Items) Click that, then click the 10195 wanted list again just below Store Items: Items On My Wanted List . This will now list all parts the shop has that doesn't meet minimum amounts of parts, where, the shop may only have four 1x1 red plates but your wanted list may require 8 of them. Normally, these would get neglected out of the parts the shop shows on your wanted list. This helps to increase the parts you get, as two shops you order form may have only half the particular piece... but both orders from those shops gives you the full amount, meaning you don't have to go to a third shop to get all 8 plates.... If you understand what i mean?
  14. I think Flieger is spot on here. Maybe he bought it as an investment for future. I can't imagine it would go up in value much more than 5000 Euros as that already seems a bit excessive for one. So I'd assume it is a collector that wants it for the fact it is MISB. I could be completely wrong though. But at the end of the day, while I also hope a new one is released, I don't resent or feel justified in mocking the person for spending that much on it. They clearly can afford to. At the end of the day, what can he do with that MISB version? He can't put it on his drive to gleam in the sun, it'd look daft in a display case in a living room. It's only real use is to satisfy ones need to have a MISB version in as best condition as possible, to slowly catch up to the value he paid for it, and then slowly increase in value further, as 30 years passes by. Then what? Sell it and enjoy the money I guess... But then he is forking out 5000 Euros on it, he probably doesn't have money worries anyway. Or just keep enjoying a box that rattles.
  15. Those prices seem more reasonable. The falcon hasn't moved regarding price versus previous version, so that'll be interesting to see how it turns out.
  16. Is exactly what I was thinking... Not to mention, I didn't feel it was too bulky at all, and looked pretty decent. Although I do hope those extra pieces aren't used to make some 'sideline' build thing that isn't part of the TIE, or I will struggle to justify buying it at anywhere near full price
  17. I have both versions of the RGS and the AT-AT that you have mentioned. If you have the first of each, and money is tight, and still have other models to get, I'd give them a pass as you are not really missing out too much. The 7676 version I actually really like, and despite the missing gun pods on the sides, prefer it. The handle is useful, but it removes the upper storage area, and also lacks the little speeder from in the rear, the bacta tank, and the rear hinge flap at the back above the rear central ball turret. The new AT-AT is an improvement, and had I not had the previous version, would happily get the new version and not be bothered not having the 2008 version. However, It does come with a fair amount of snow troopers, the new AT-AT pilot, and is generally a more solid build. (I'm sure you are familiar with the parts under the belly for the legs that keep popping off). If you can afford it and won't have to miss out anything new because of it, I'd recommend getting another AT-AT at least. As for the RGS, if you really like the 7676 because of all its 'features' you may feel *ever so slightly* underwhelmed at the slightly fewer play functions, but only just, and it does help by having the side gun pods... But... it would be another RGS to add to and one can never have enough republic gunships!
  18. Those prices... £50 was a nice price for the previous X-Wing and Tie Fighter, but at the limit. Unless they throw something significantly good in with them, Im concerned that the new X-Wing and TIE fighter sets will have a naff bit on the side just to bulk it out that no one will care much for having, but that we have to pay for regardless
  19. Bernadette's legs is exactly what Penny's needs... Totally looking forward to getting this set, makes for a really nice display piece! While it does look like they tried to cram a lot in... their apartment is actually crammed full of stuff, so I'm happy with this look. Regarding the 'whiteboard'... I know the episode they are referring to with it when Leonard and Sheldon teamed up and lost against Amy and Penny for charades... but I wonder if those sketches actually have a hidden meaning/phrase/word behind them?
  20. Completely with you on the hair, Deskp, and that piece you chose looks much better. It was the first thing that jumped out at me when I saw him. When i get it, ill be changing it. Considering all the printed body parts at the moment theyre doing, they should have printed a skirt on penny's legs with bare flesh on the flat part of the leg, and then boots or something for shoes on the foot part. I believe that would have worked much better for her, and given her a bit more personality. The rest though are apot on and i cant wait to see the set reveal tomorrow!
  21. Use LDD to give yourself a view of what it would look like, then you can judge for yourself the best path to go with it :)
  22. Haha :D Oh yes, by all means the dual set does have good minifigs. Depends if you are keen on getting endor han/leia, or want that new darth vader fig with a new palp and from what i know, new luke. Can you not get both, the dual set for you, and the shuttle for your son as a surprise or something, and nab the figs from it, replace with a couple stormies and saying he should be thankful having the new shuttle :P That way, you win, your son wins... And your partner doesnt really have to know, unless shes into lego too xD
  23. Hmmm, i can see how that makes sense and hadnt thought of it like that before... Ill have to check the next sets i get to see how well that holds :)
  24. Not to mention using multiple pieces where 1 will do (two 1x1s instead of one 1x2)
