  1. I think he was implying that he doesn't see why it couldn't also be released around the same time as the Bank... But, that's 2 very expensive sets with no time for wallet relief :P So purely on that, I'd guess it wouldn't happen...
  2. Send it to me, and I'll happily check for you
  3. Set number 9491 Geonosian Cannon. It's nothing special, not my cup of tea, but if you like it and want to restore it, have fun
  4. Seeing WTC, for some reason I was expecting to see the World Trade Centres... Ironic then, how I see a gate... That has two towers, that are joined by a mid section... :P Looks really nice, but the texture is really weird, almost seems like it has hints of arabic texturing styles...
  5. I'm pretty sure..... that it is.... a toy...
  6. I really like this. The setting looks quite natural for the subject, and the lighting looks just perfect! I saw this entered in the competition... I also saw the winner... And couldnt figure out how that won over this?! It is a much tidier, interesting and fun build!
  7. I really don't get why people hype up such blatant wish lists as rumours. That is clearly a wish list for reasons people have mentioned already.
  8. It probably comes from the list of sets page cache, not the 'click the image for a link to the set and its details/more pictures' page.
  9. I understand that Lego requires the use of imagination... But this is asking too much imagination
  10. Its not too bad depending on the light shining on it at the time. The less the light, the more noticeable the difference, I think... (can't quite remember)
  11. Im glad someone has done this, and I think you have done an excellent job... unfortunately.... such an excellent job that I want both now!
  12. OK, it definitely isn't white. Light differences simply highlight the fact it is extremely light in a grayish tan. Yes, it may be closer in RGB to white than light bluish gray, but Lego's bright as hell white doesn't do the ship justice for the fact it is supposed to be representing a 'trash can' of a ship that is old. Bright white doesn't portray that in any sense at all. Hence more than likely why they went with light bluish gray. Very light bluish gray probably would have been better, but they didn't.
  13. Now it seems more like a medical ship. Its nice, for sure, but i prefer the grey version.
  14. Please tell me I am missing your sarcasm... White as Hoth snow... That HAS to be sarcasm...
  15. The body looks really good, and the cockpit looks really good. I understand how it is difficult to get rid of that gap at small scale. Either that or studs, or wedge plates with tiles which at that scale will look weird. But the cockpit and body together look out of proportion. The cockpit is too big, or the body is too small...
  16. Id have to go with the majority. The Sandcrawler is nice, and the scene would include more, but as for displaying, you want to just display the model to show it off, not have it as 'part' of a larger scene which detracts from thr model itself, in the case of the sandcrawler, might not be all bad as it isnt a highly detailed model, just big, exciting, and playful. The slave 1 could easily get away with a simplistic landing pad with lights which would bring attention to the model in the right way, and deservedly so, as it really is a lovely model. Ive not got it yet, but seen it up close and personal many times, and cant wait to get it. The sandcrawler is still boxed
  17. Forgot about the sandcrawler! I certainly wouldnt mind them having more time to focus on new sets either... Means my wallet can recover too :)
  18. The answer is literally right there infront of you (Ive just checked it with mine). The arms need to be moved up a bit more to where the gap is between the 1 x 2 vertically long hinge clip plate and the 1x2 horizontal hinge clip plate. Position hands between that gap, it closes fine. If it doesn't, you've done something wrong. Judging from the picture though, nothing is wrong, just you haven't positioned both hands in that gap yet.
  19. If what CM4Sci has said is true (it appears to be, about the repackaging of the Ewok Village and 10188 DS to include Disney Logo, which would probably mean no discontinuation anytime soon for either ( as mentioned in CM4Sci's link) then I can't imagine Hoth UCS being released anytime too soon, as that would mean a 3rd playset style UCS out on top of the X-Wing and Slave-1... That's a lot of UCS
  20. I need plant guy and zombie cheer leader. Zombie business man and wolf seems to be in plentiful supply, but plant guy isnt, nor the cheer leader... When I can find the shops that still have stock.... which is a concern.
  21. They look really good, nice and smooth, in an angular way :P But... they just don't quite look... Star Wars-y....?
  22. While it is slightly bigger than the source material, youve done a top notch job on it and I couldnt care less about the size difference, it looks just right as it is. The shaping is nice and on point, and the build looks tidy. Nice job!
  23. Since when is Lego a toy?! It is a highly sophisticated interlocking brick system!
  24. Absolutely love this! Definitely unique, and looks very well carried out! What gave you the idea to use droids as bins? It works really well! The entire setting as well, looks spot on imperialistic and the door is pretty cool too. Nice little touch putting 'paper' and glasses by their respective bins! From what i can see, its a SNOT floor, and he has used the 1x1 cheese wedges on their side to create the hole the droids sit in.
  25. I wouldnt personally worry too much... While i really like the new ones due to their visors, i also think the current/old ones are still really good and readily available. The new ones i can imagine being quite expensive for quite a while, and only in expensive sets for a while...
