With it being listed as a january release, if i remember correctly (im remembering quite vaguely at the moment) sometimes, january sets are released in december. What is the likelihood of it being released in december? I am just starting to get into modulars about to get my first, and this is without doubt for me going to be a insta buy as soon as possible. I love tue fact it can open up on hinges and looks like the floors can come off also, not to mention i just got the ecto 1 purely because this is coming out and think itll make such an amazing display piece... I may even be tempted to play with it :p

Republic frigate is in my opinion a really decent set. Really good figs with it, it is actually quite big and has some nice play features in it. Id bricklink the troopers, the av7 cannon is a bit naff (again my opinion)

I just don't believe the whole 'replacement' Death Star rumour. The Hoth, I do. But not the DS. It literally doesn't make sense when the current one hasn't even retired yet, simply to replace it with the same.

While it really is amazing, and looks especially good because it looks 'rough around the edges', it portrays every level of Coruscant really well... but the pictures could do with being resized to be a little easier on the eyes and pc screen >.<

The Jabbas palace/snowy mountain/droid hideout one is my favourite, but both are excellent considering they are pretty random!

There is certainly some innovative ideas used, especially the hip joint with the worm gear! Im not sure where you have used glue, but i do see a potential easy weakness, where the bottom of the legs join onto the ankle simply by the arch. That will be a lot of weight on just the arches that i believe there will be quite a bit of flex occurring somewhere.

Gravity will be your enemy when designing this, good luck with it, it looks a good start!

Pretty much agree here. The gunship is just as good as the 7676 version, which was brilliant as it was, if not slightly better, and more sturdier. The at-te in my opinion is quite a downgrade to the previous version in most ways. While i have both, if i had to choose between them, without doubt it would be the gunship.

Personally, Id say swap the round 2x2 republic (?) logo over from the right one in place of the 2x2 square tile with logo on the left one, then keep the left one.

What do you think the percentage of parts needed to make the black one from the gray one is...? As in, is it worth getting the set to convert one to black? As black certainly looks more menacing, and definitely worthy of a villain craft, whereas gray looks like just another vehicle...

Sainsbury's in the UK have them at £1.99 each reduced from 2.50. It just forced me I decided to buy a whole box of them seeing as how rare they appear to be in the shops, what with Simpsons still hogging the limelight and shops simply not being able to keep/replenish stock so easily...

Oh my gosh, that slimer is perfect! I didnt know about that! I am one of those that falls in the 'wasnt going to buy ecto 1 but now theyre releasing a GBHQ, have now bought it with the intention of getting the GBHQ' category. How many of you fall in that as well? Its interesting to think how many more ecto 1's they will sellbpurely because theyre making the GBHQ... As much as i hate scalpers, i think both these sets will be a scalpers paradise.

This is soo ugly... its actually really cute! It really works with the design too! As lilme said, Id love to see this from more angles, and with the more touches to it you intend to do.

Id say go with what you think looks the best. At the end of the day, youll (probably) end up with a set you want to keep. Do you want to have a set that feels average to you, but was great value or have a set that might cost a bit more, but looks awesome, when eventually youll forget how much it cost and just enjoy it for its looks...

That is because their use was purely intended for hand to hand combat, blocking blows etc. I love the sword and the water sprinkler, they are perfect for the small army i am intending on putting together! Cant say i have a preference for either gold, but id probably go with pearl gold as it means it goes better with actual lego pieces that are pearl gold already.

I never understand why people ask this question, some people will say yes, go for it, some will say no not if you have the previous one, some will say only if you can afford to... it is wholly subjective, not to mention, there are plenty of pictures about to see it for themselves, on top of that, it REALLY depends, on if you feel you can afford to spare the money on it on top of other sets you wish to buy...

The Det office and Slave 1 came out at the same time?
