LEGO Star Wars 2012 Pictures and Rumors
Sir_Basil_Ashton replied to XimenaPaulina's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Have to agree with those of you that think this set is overpriced. I personally believe LEGO should have made the UCS B-Wing a little bit more affordable since it's not as iconic as some of the other ships from the PT. My 7-yr old son had no idea what this set was. I had to show him the brief footage from RotJ and he still asked me why LEGO made this set. -
What was the last movie you watched?
Sir_Basil_Ashton replied to EbonHawk's topic in Culture & Multimedia
Saw Brave yesterday with my kids and my nieces and nephew. It was surprisingly good and not what I expected. Of course I didn't really know anything about it in the first place. -
Sales tax in California varies from county to county (ex. Los Angeles, Orange, San Diego, etc.).

I woudln't be surprised if the shelf-life of the Imperial Shuttle were to come to an end soon but I believe the Super Star Destroyer will be out for a while longer. It hasn't even been available for a year yet. I can see the Shuttle lasting until next summer and the SSD lasting until the Holidays of 2013. -

I don't think LEGO would be able to keep up with the demand. -
FS/FT: Star Wars Polybags
Sir_Basil_Ashton replied to Sir_Basil_Ashton's topic in Buy, Sell, Trade and Finds
I will post anywhere. The shipping cost is yours. -
Since I started buying the LEGO Star Wars polybags, I have always bought extras for possible future trades. I just realized that I had purchased more of these two sets than I thought. I'm willing to trade or sell these sets. If you wish to buy these sets, I will charge what I paid for them, sales tax, plus exact shipping. For purchases I will accept payment via Paypal as a "gift". If there's no interest in these, I will simply return them to my local Walmart. I just thought I'd offer them to anyone that may have missed out on them first. FOR SALE/TRADE 30056 Star Destroyer x10 - $3.97 ea, CT tax: $0.26 plus, shipping 30058 STAP x3 - $3.97 ea, CT tax: $0.26, plus shipping WANT 30053 Republic Attack Cruiser 30057 Anakin's Podracer

LEGO S@H doesn't have sales too often. Other than May the 4th and after the Holidays, sets don't go on sale. Larger sets like the UCS sets tend to not last too long when discounted after the Holidays. -

+1 for RubeusHagrid. Thanks for helping me out. -
Hopefully it's just an error on the site. I really can't justify getting this set right now. Heck I just got UCS Imperial Shuttle during the May the 4th promo.

My family's going to be moving in a little under two months. A good amount of our belongings are going to end up in storage for a few years. Unfortunately the family LEGO collection will be packed away during that time. We have about 50+ sets that haven't been built yet due to space restrictions. We'll buy other sets at our new home but we'll be apart from the ones that get stored.

If the shirtless Maul minifig in indeed based on TCW, I wish we could've gotten the cyborg chicken legs. Although if they would've been static like all other droid legs, I can live with how they gave him legs. -

Me too, there have been plenty of rumors speculating this set. Hope something surfaces at either Brick Fiesta or SDCC. -
Game of Thrones TV series Thread
Sir_Basil_Ashton replied to Darth Lurtz's topic in Culture & Multimedia
As much as I love this show, the only knock I have is that there's so much going on episode to episode. I feel like they try to show each of the different characters and by doing so, cut into the flow of the show. They show a little of so many different things that I feel like I didn't see anything at all. Despite this, I still thoroughly love the show. I don't think the fight for the Iron Throne is going to mean much once the Wall is breached and winter comes. I think it's going to come down to fight united and have a chance or all die divided. -

My wife and I are big fans of the TV series. I'm horrible with the different character names with the exception of the Stark family. My wife's in the process of reading the books and she feels the tv show follows the book pretty accurately. The season finale left me pretty excited for next season. I can't wait to see what happens. -
So I lived in LA County growing up and moved away with my family due to work 4 years ago. This is before LEGO came into my life and my kids' lives. We'll be visiting my parents at the beginning of July and making our first trip to Legoland with my sister and her family. Any recommendations? Any specific shops within the park have good brick assortments?

The Imperial V-Wing is still available at LEGO S@H and I've seen it at retailers recently. Palpatine's Shuttle is no longer available at LEGO S@H and the only retailer I've seen it at recently is TRU.

Thanks for the higher quality trailers. I like the fact that I can hear what everyone's saying without having to turn my volume up really high. -
REVIEW : 9498 Saesee Tiin's Starfighter
Sir_Basil_Ashton replied to aayla-secura's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Thanks for the review. I definitely want this set, but with the higher MSRP than the Plo Koon Starfighter, I'll have to wait until this set inevitably gets clearanced to 50% off or greater. -

Interesting new clip. I've never been too crazy about episodes with Padme so this clip doesn't make me any more excited for Season 5. -

I know what Brickset says I've spent on LEGO Star Wars and if my wife knew, she'd make me pick between her & LEGO. I would pick her of course but couldn't imagine having to give up LEGO altogether. -

+1 The Joker1 -
Even within the USA, sets will show up at different times in different areas. Luckily for me, I always purchase sets on sale or if there is a promo. And if there's a promo and sale running at the same time, even better. I don't have to have a set right when it's released.
