I agree, it looks like the Gree we got in the Geonosian Cannon set. -

What's your recent LEGO Star Wars Purchase?
Sir_Basil_Ashton replied to KimT's topic in LEGO Star Wars
You definitely got a great deal on all those sets. I really like the Republic Frigate (7964), the Wolfpack clones were a bonus for me because I was buying this set regardless. -
So is the Planet line going to end after Series 4?
Sir_Basil_Ashton replied to Muddy's topic in LEGO Star Wars
From what I saw, the Planet line was kind of hit or miss depending on where you lived. I believe casual observers or parents like the idea of buying their child a fairly cheap LEGO item. To some of the AFOL like myself, the price seemed a little high so I only bought these on sale. Then again, I purchase LEGO on sale 95% of the time. Exception is when I purchase it as gifts. -
Post your general LEGO Star Wars questions here

The UCS R2-D2 (10225) has been out less than a year (8 months) so you have time. It probably sold really well during the holidays. Don't worry LEGO will make more and you won't have to worry about inflated prices. -

The Motorized AT-AT (10178) was available at S@H through Dec 2010. I know because I had been holding out on 10178 and finally purchased it right before Christmas when S@H had that massive 50% off sale that year. The 8129 AT-AT became available in Summer 2010. I agree with you though, this was probably unintentional. -

Sir_Basil_Ashton replied to Erdbeereis's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Although I understand that some fans may be pissed off, this wouldn't be the first time LEGO had 2 sets of a particular vehicle out at the same time. The Motorized AT-AT (10178) and AT-AT (8129) were simultaneously on the shelves of retailers (TRU) and S@H the 2nd half of 2010. I can care less either way if this rumor turns out to be true. -
Yes, I know AT-ATs are from the OT. I wasn't trying to make a distinction between the two. My point was that I'm not fond of and rather sick of vehicles that have been released several times. Which for the most part seems to be OT vehicles. I don't prefer any particular SW set to another. PT, CW, OT, EU, it's all LEGO SW to me and I love it all. Last year (2012) was a slow year for me and this year (2013) is going to more than make up for it.

LEGO Star Wars 2013 Pictures and Rumors
Sir_Basil_Ashton replied to Erdbeereis's topic in LEGO Star Wars
I wouldn't necessarily use the word "confirmed" at this point. The pics that we've seen so far are preliminary and things may still change. If we patiently wait until Toy Fair, I'm sure more of our questions will be answered. -
Not trying to sound abrasive but why do a lot of fans predict/want remakes of sets that have already been done? The Star Wars universe is so expansive that there is a plethora of new sets that have never been done that can be made. I'm sick of AT-ATs and OT vehicles. On a separate note, I can see a future set having a Darth Vader minifigure. It's been while since LEGO released one.

I'm not very fond of the Clone Troopers vs. Droidekas battle pack. I'll probably purchase 3-4 of these over the next year at different sales and will hold out until the post-Holiday clearance in 2014 to get a good amount of these. -

Indeed there are limitless possibilities for a The Incredibles sequel. I'm really surprised there hasn't been a sequel yet. My kids and a lot of my friend's kids loved that movie and played as the characters back in the day.- 279 replies

Another series of 3 Planet Sets and we're down to 2 more sets. I'm guessing 1 more unannounced exclusive and hopefully a UCS set. -

I really hope you're right, the more clones, the merrier. LEGO has made it harder and harder the past few years for fans that like to army build. I for one would buy multiples of higher priced sets if there were more troops. If you want to man your vehicles/ships properly, go to Bricklink. LEGO doesn't want your money. -
LEGO Star Wars 2013 Pictures and Rumors
Sir_Basil_Ashton replied to Erdbeereis's topic in LEGO Star Wars
I really hope I'm wrong because I love Clone Troopers but if there were more Clone minifigs, I believe LEGO would have had them on the box art as they did with the two Super Battle Droids. The 7676 Gunship captured the shape of the Gunship pretty well. I don't mind that this new set uses pretty much the same structure. From looking at the preliminary picture, there are some differences. The cockpits and turrets are different than in previous versions. I'm kind of disappointed that the turrets are no longer printed. I know this is a preliminary picture so I'm hoping the final product will have the printing. I'm not sure how much I'm truly going to like this set if the cargo bay doors don't completely enclose the troop area. I really hope you're correct on the other Jedi minifig not being Obi-Wan and a new Jedi. Obi-Wan seems like the most logical choice since he was with Anakin and Padme on the Gunship. Of course we all know that minifig placement in sets don't always make sense. Although the way the cargo bay doors look at this point are a concern of mine, I will be picking up at least a couple of this new Gunship to add to my fleet. -

This new Jabba's Sail Barge looks so inferior to the old one. Another rehash that's a step in the wrong direction if you ask me. The new Republic Gunship looks very similar to 7676, only this one appears to be from AotC. I'll definitely pick up a couple of these. -

No please. The last AT-AT was a step in the wrong direction. LEGO should wait 5 years before releasing another version. -

Sir_Basil_Ashton replied to Erdbeereis's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Sorry about that. I stand corrected, please disregard my comment. The best way around the whole exclusive/limited sets is to purchase directly from LEGO. At least that's I how see it with the sets exclusive to TRU. The thing that I always found most attractive with Battle Packs is the price. For a reasonable amount of money, you could have a battle with 4-8 minfigures (I always purchase both BPs together). The problem is army builders. In years past, one faction was more desirable to army build than the other. Also, LEGO has been putting specialty type characters (Bomb Squad, ARC Trooper) into BPs that I for one don't want to army build. The thing is, there's no way to please everyone and I think LEGO is doing the best they can. There are times when I'm really happy with the set selection and there are times when I'm not. After a slow 2012, the upcoming 2013 selection is going to make this a busy year for me. -

Great review, not sure what photos you added but they all look good. The price of this set will probably push me to wait until I can find a good/decent sale. I really hope the 212th Clone shows up in future sets. -

Review: 75000 Clone Troopers vs Droidekas
Sir_Basil_Ashton replied to mordatre's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Which version of the Phase I clones did you buy, PT or TCW version? I have a good amount of both already and this new version will be the 3rd type of Phase I that I have. I've come to terms with the fact that LEGO will always be updating their product every few years. They may all look a little different but that doesn't bother me. Maybe with this newer version, the price on the other older ones will take a dip. Just to save you the hassle of watching and searching the cartoon, this Battle Pack is loosely based from AotC.
