  1. Anything is better than nothing. Let's hope we see a lot of Maul/Savage and Deathwatch this upcoming season.
  2. I agree with you, this is a great set but I can't justify the $180 price tag. Just have other priorities at the moment. On a separate note, I like the set but I like it less after seeing the pictures in this review. I want to hold out on getting it now.
  3. Personally, a non-chrome TC-14 is a pass for me. I'd like to consider myself a completist but you can't set the bar that high for a minifig then expect fans to buy a figure that's inferior to the previous release. I don't even know what possible set they can include TC-14 into.
  4. LEGO always sends out orders in an oversized box. They normally put the air bubbles inside the box to keep the items from banging around. However, during the Holidays and during May the 4th, they obviously have to process more orders and noticed that sometimes the air bubbles get left out. As far as the polybag (TC-14 in this case) is concerned, they'll send it with your order. If you order something that's on backorder, they will send TC-14 and the poster separately, and send your other items when they become available.
  5. If it's in your shopping bag, you'll get it.
  6. I completely agree with you. I like one strictly from the front and one strictly from the side.
  7. Bricklink: Shadow ARF Trooper Looks like the price is starting to rise a little.
  8. About a month ago, K-Mart had a BOGO 1/2 off sale. If your order totaled over $125.00 and you used your VISA card, you saved an additional $25.00. Luckily they used the total before the discount. I threw in a couple planet sets and battle packs to fill in my orders. I got pretty lucky as the sets were sold out online but I was able to use the Mygofer option where I could pick the items up in store.
  9. I was finally able to get away from my busy schedule and pick up the SW sets that I ordered through K-Mart. 9492 Tie Fighter @ 28.74 x2 9493 X-Wing @ 32.49 x2 7930 Bounty Hunter Gunship @ 18.99 x2
  10. Thanks for posting the better pics GRogall. All the sets are looking very good. The CW Padme minifig looks a little better than it did at Toy Fair. Personally I think the combination of the CW style face and choice of hair piece don't go together.
  11. I believe last year was a mistake/oversight on LEGO's part but you would think that when they ran this last promo during 15-30 March 2012, they would have fixed it. I got a couple more Shadow ARF Troopers purchasing the Mini-Modulars and Super Heroes sets.
  12. I would just wait the two weeks for the set and get the Hulk Promo figure.
  13. The chrome legs on TC-14 look a lot worse than the Chrome Stormtrooper. We'll have to see how many of the figures have this same problem.
  14. Since you asked the question, put me on the side that isn't excited. I think the set looks cool but it isn't something that I want. Maybe it'll grow on me over time.
  15. Captain America: The First Avenger. This film was alright. I feel it could have been better. I didn't like the ending because it seemed pretty abrupt. I wish they would have showed finding him.
  16. If you can check the box that you want TC-14 and it shows up in your cart before you pay, then you're good. Like Tyrant, I received Shadow ARF Troopers during the May the 4th promo last year and during the last promo a month or so ago. None of my purchases were "only" Star Wars.
  17. I think that even with the "from only one theme" caveat, plenty of the TC-14 minifigs will be given out. And if any are left, they'll simply say they found more and run the sale again at a later time. If LEGO can get rid of all of the Shadow ARC Trooper, they'll definitely be able to get rid of TC-14.
  18. Those are pretty reasonable prices. I thought about it for a second but I'll still get my Hulk through LEGO.
  19. I'm sure LEGO looked at the idea of a one or two-faction battle pack and through some unproven scietific formula, came to the conclusion that 2 faction is the way to go. I think either way would work if they put minifigs in this battle pack that people actually wanted.
  20. I find it unlikely that LEGO will release a new Republic Gunship and AT-TE. Yes it's been 4 years since the last editions of these PT vehicles have been released, but it's only been 2 years since they were last available in retail stores. Now by the AotC 3D is in theaters, 3 years will have passed. If LEGO decides to release new sets of these vehicles, I wouldn't be surprised. Next year, 2013 would be a good year to capitalize on marketing these sets. AotC will be in theaters and both vehicles are prominently shown in TCW cartoon. There's definitely a ton of interest in these sets.
  21. If you have no use for it, use it as trade fodder for a different LEGO item you really want.
  22. I know, I read the email. If they wanted to build suspense, I think it would have been better if they announced all the little deals a little at a time and maybe a day or two before the 4th, announce what the promo minifigure would be. The thing I want the most is the free shipping on orders over $75.00. That will decide whether or not I make the trip to a LEGO store or not.
  23. I find it odd that LEGO would send us an email about May the 4th and 5th and give us a link to a page that gives us no further information. They should have waited until there's actually useful information/details on the page for us to read. Oh well, be on the lookout to lookout.
  24. Completely agree with you. Kids love shiny objects, don't they? Ok, at least I do. TC-14 is going to be a hit.
  25. From my experience with the Star Wars May the 4th promo from last year, there will be a block that you can check when you checkout with S@H. The box didn't appear right at midnight (EST) but those who purchased right when the sale went live were able to call LEGO Customer Service to have the Shadow ARF Trooper added to their order.
