  1. Thanks for the review. I'm really quite fond of the new clones. However, I doubt I will army build from this BP since I don't really care for the droidekas. I'll probably end up shopping on Bricklink.
  2. Thanks for the review. I'm normally up on the fence until I see reviews of sets over $20.00 but it's a given that I will buy the Battle Packs. I will definitely multiples of the BPs in this wave.
  3. I would love a UCS Venator. However I don't know if I'd love it enough to pay $400.
  4. For a hassle-free purchase, tally up a +1 to fred67. He communicated well throughout the process and all items I purchased arrived well packages and as described.
  5. I completely agree with your comments on the new Phase I Clone. LEGO did a great job with the color/paint scheme on the helmet. To me, the visor has a glare effect to it that reminds me of AotC when you see the Clones on Geonosis. I can't wait for plain Clones to be released in this style.
  6. Not to be abrasive but when you start creating alternate universes and timelines, it might as well be a reboot. Also, I don't really care too much for Star Trek and although I watched it, I didn't really pay too much attention to all the details.
  7. Re-boot? Star Wars is the one universe that doesn't need a re-boot. There is way too much material that already exists and new material being created all the time. Star Wars isn't Spiderman, Star Trek, etc., it's more popular today and gaining in popularity.
  8. The 4 episodes revolve around the younglings. If I remember correctly, only one episode is truly devoted to the creation of lightsabers. At Celebration VI, Dave Filoni introduced these episodes by talking about how Star Wars has always been about families and these episodes were focused on that.
  9. I hope the new Star Wars Trilogy is a completely new and fresh story. There are a lot of good books but I want a movie that that has no ties to a story that has already been told.
  10. Was there ever a contest to this "fact"? Did anyone challenge the supremacy of the Original Trilogy in the SW movie lore? It's a well-accepted viewpoint among all SW fans (including the younger PT and CW fans) that the Original Trilogy is the best there was, the best there is, and the best that there will always be. Whatever the turnout of the new movies will be, it won't change that "universal fact", so OT fans need not get "threatened" by the new direction the SW franchise is heading to. Hold on a minute. Everybody is entitled to their opinion of what their favorite part of Star Wars is. I was 8-years old when I watched RotJ. I grew up obsessed about the OT. Although the OT has a special place in my heart, it is not my favorite part of Star Wars. I find your opinion that it's "universal fact" that the OT is the "best there was, the best there is, and the best that there will always be" very disturbing. Don't speak for everyone on these boards or every fan of Star Wars. At least not for me or my family. There is a generation that grew up on the OT, there's a different generation that grew up on the PT and there's another generation that is growing up today on TCW. I love all Star Wars. Despite what we enjoy and like about Star Wars, there are flaws and despite these flaws there is a lot to love and enjoy about Star Wars. I'm not going to search to see if there's already a poll but maybe we can have one. I'm sure not "all SW fans" will agree on the so called "supremacy of the Original Trilogy".
  11. Very well put. I completely agree with you.
  12. Uhhhh. What just happened? I'm not sure what to think at the moment. I'm in shock.
  13. This upcoming story arc was pretty nice when my kids and I watched it at Celebration VI. Not trying to complain but I'm really missing the Clones as they seem to be MIA in Season 5. Knowing this arc will take up the next 4 weeks, I'm doubtful we'll see any action with the Clones until after the New Year.
  14. Squeaked out another win this week even though RG3 had a sub-par game. Did anyone watch the Cowboys/Giants game? That was a great game. Stayed up close to 1am watching that game. Football really is a game of inches. If Dez Bryant's fingers hadn't been out everyone would be talking about how the Giants choked. But Bryant was out so now we talk about how the Cowboys lost again.
  15. Wasn't sure what the other SE/LE sets were as I relocated to a place without the distinction.
  16. As always, thank you for the new preview. I'm looking forward to seeing some battles.
  17. Correct me if I'm wrong but weren't the following considered LE/SE sets since they were only available in specific retailers. In the USA at least. 2011 7868 Mace Windu's Jedi Starfighter - Walmart Exclusive 7869 Battle for Geonosis - TRU Exclusive 7877 Naboo Starfighter - Target Exclusive 7879 Hoth Echo Base - TRU Exclusive 2012 9494 Anakin's Jedi Interceptor - Target Exclusive 9495 Gold Leader's Y-Wing Starfighter - TRU Exclusive
  18. To me, 7655 and 8014 are the best BPs to date. Perfect for army building. Too bad the year 8014 was released was the year LEGO was introduced into my home. I am excited about 75000. I don't care that the clones are different, neither do my kids. My son's ready to have some epic battles.
  19. The clone minifigs will make it onto Bricklink and eBay. Everything always ends up on both, that option is always available. The question will be the cost. Even then, if you're only after the clone minfigs and you can buy them both for $10.00. You're saving $3.00 off the cost of purchasing the BP. I've been looking to army build clones and this new BP will be my chance.
  20. Very nice design. My son loves it so much he's going to try to replicate your design.
  21. Don't worry, Gold Leader, Porkins, and Luke minfigs will be updated when their sets are re-released in a couple of years.
  22. My two kids and I got to see these Episodes during CVI. It was the highlight of their CVI experience. It was a real interesting story arc that's geared towards younger Star Wars fans.
  23. I don't have a problem with the 2013 TCW sets actually having clones in them. Since it is TCW, I think it's fitting that there are clones in the sets. When there aren't clones, people complain that there aren't enough clones in TCW. When there are clones, people complain that there are clones. There clones are represented well in the show so I expect to see them in the sets.
  24. It's killing me how the Republic Troopers in TOR Battle Pack (BP) keep getting referred to as "Clones" when they're not. Although I have yet to purchase any of TOR sets, I think this set is the perfect BP since LEGO changed to the two faction BP.
