  1. Thanks for adding me :)

  2. Indeed. While the 2.0 Hero-Foot is very versatile, and looks good on a variety of figures it's being used so often in the same way that it's almost boring. The same applies for the Bionicle feet, like the 'Piraka' and the two-clawed feet, though I do like the design of the latter very much. Those two types of feet are limited with their building possibilities. I saw DraikNova's comment, and this above, and had an idea. I'm thinking a whole new foot could be made, using inspiration from the Savage Planet paw part mentioned in Draik's comment.. The foot could be modeled like the current two-claw foot, but at the point where the toes start, instead there would be the lightsaber-sized rods for connecting those clip-on claws, like on Pyrox, or the Exo-Force Fingers, like on Orgum. Said part would still feature the axel connection points like on the current two-clawed foot, and with the parts smaller size and simpler look, would open up many MoCing possibilities. Not only that, but the clip-rods would allow for more options in posing the figure- in other words, toes! Said foot could be featured on its own in a set, without claws or Exo-Force fingers, and would look close to how a lion's foot does in real life. I thought about the possibility of a third clip-rod on the back of the foot, if one wanted to add a claw there, but I think an axle part would be better for two reasons- the stub sticking out for the axle would provide stability for the foot, and the axle would be easier to use if you wanted to use this part for, say, a Dragon's jaw or something. I think it would be a rather nice idea, and I will draw and have a concept idea of the part up sometime in the next few days. What do you all think of this foot idea? Yay, or nay?
  3. Bones: This in black and 'dark stone grey'. http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?P=90615 This in black and grey. http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?P=90605 Cladding: This in red, blue, medium lilac, white and if it hasn't been already, solid lime. http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?P=90640 This in black. It would have been very helpful in my 'Dark Matter' creation. http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?P=90636 I'd like to see this in White and Silver. http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?P=90650 This in the colors released, but without the print. It would be interesting to see it in another trans color, like 'apple green' or orange. http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?P=98569 And the Hulk/Stormer XL armor in black. Heads/Helmets: This in the trans red-orange color, trans orange, and whichever blue hasn't been featured. http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?P=11270 This with more variations of printing, and more helmets to go along with them. It seems all the colors I desire have already been released for it! http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?P=11269 Probably less likely, but I'd like to see the 2013 Bulk helmet return in another color. Other: This in blue. http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?P=98571 This in blue, lime, and orange. I had another color, but it's just slipped my mind. http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?P=98592 This in unprinted blue, lime, red, and in silver. http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?P=98603 This in a trans orange color, and in black. http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?P=11268 The MTIS shield in the Hero colors not already produced. This in black http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?P=92218 This in red http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?P=11305 And.. I can't think of any more at the moment. Can't seem to figure out how everyone else did the link inside the text. Can someone help with that?
  4. It's a giant cyclops with a wicked hairdo. It looks really, really good. I feel the torso's a tad long for the body, or maybe the legs are too short for the torso, either way something feels off there. I don't mind the size of the hands, they look solid enough and have the posing ability that most hands have, and that I like. Besides, it's a cyclops, a creature of fiction. Surely it would be okay to imagine it with non-human proportions? That statement throws my complaint about the torso out the window. The build is solid, and makes great use of certain pieces- the Arachnix bug shell and the 'speaker' parts from Stringer work very well here, and I like seeing those double-cup connectors in use on the feet. Useful pieces, those are. That, and all that delicious blue. Surprised by how little of it is translucent, but there's lots of it spread out evenly throughout the body, and I really like how it looks. You said you'd go big, and I believe it- this Cyclops of yours is large, and in-charge(maybe.. I just wanted to rhyme ), and is a very impressive piece of work.
  5. I like it! The 'hunch' is simple, doesn't engulf the whole body like my revamp of the same character did, but it does give him that appearance of being stooped over just a bit, and I like that. Perhaps he's got a lot of tubing throughout the body, and the best place for his head was his torso.. I've wondered about that. Anyway, getting off topic there. Did you happen to use an XT4 torso for this build, and a large torso behind it? The way the body was put together confused me for just a bit. I also like that in a build. Melty's got all the right features that make him the sludge tossing, tentacle waving villain we all know, spikes are a nice addition too. Great job !
  6. I didn't get Kardas or Dume D: It's an awesome build, and the white and green is interesting enough(I think dark blue and gold would be better, though), but it wouldn't be great as a set price-wise. Which is a shame, really. I'd love to see the back of that figure.. wonder what that looks like.
  7. I like the new Hero Build! I take it that's Rocka modelling for us today. It's sleek, and the body's details flow smoothly(he has a butt, nice ), and feel more organic, but the shapes of the abdomen, the feet, and the head(and the 'welding lines' and bolts on the armor) keep it mechanical, and I like that about it. The female's build makes sense as far as flexibility issues go. I wonder why the HERO-FACTORY makes female 'Heroes' if that's all they really are- machines. Maybe it's something to do with so many races in the known galaxy having both genders, and having both in the HERO-FACTORY allows them to be accepted more easily or.. I don't know, I'm talking too much about that. I don't see any difference to the HRT body other than the color fading from silver to black(nice nod to the exclusive 2.0 chest armor, by the way) and the label of the word 'Recon' instead of 'Hero Factory', but it's nice that it was included. I like the XL concept, but only as an experimental type of thing. If a Hero is going to be big, he better stay big and not be shrunk down again. And I quite get the logic behind redesigning the Heroes. It's difficult sometimes to keep them all looking like they're from the same place(I found it hard to to even with Bionicle characters), but I'm glad you've found a good solution to the problem I look forward to seeing your heavy-duty Bulk build whenever it comes. EDIT: Woah! That was surprising. Scarox looks more like a spider than.. whatever it was he was before. Bruizer's got the muscle and the hard rock body, and the fur looks surprisingly good on him(or her, or it, I don't know). Pyrox has the minotaur thing going about him quite well. Loving the bright red, rocky looking beard. Not sure how I feel about Orgum, but he does have a fleshy feel to him. The brain on top shares this look. Man that brain is creepy...
  8. What can I say that hasn't been said? It's a modular railway station that's packed full of detail, inside and out, has lots of hidden features, and works well alongside the existing modular building LEGO sets. It has a nice nod to the past Trains (the Emerald Knight loco in the wall has got to be my favorite thing about it, aside from the second 'hidden' feature), and has a train all its own to run through, which like the station has lots of detail and function. It's a grand station, and a massively impressive build. I am amazed by it's complexity in its attention to detail, and then some. In short- fantastic work.
  9. I've only just now noticed that Gorzan's top fingers(on the paw parts) are turned inward to create the illusion of thumbs.. how cool is that? I wouldn't blame you for lovin' that gorilla, LewiMOC. That gorilla's got it going on!
  10. Not what I was expecting when I read the topic header, but it is still very interesting. The build is surprisingly solid. The shape of the torsos allow them to mesh together rather well. I'm a bit jealous of all that red unprinted goodness(never did get my hands on 'Iron Man'..). I like the little lasers mounted on top. Nice seeing those black parts used again. The 'toxic' symbol kind of stand out to me, on the tank, but I imagine that couldn't be helped. Overall I quite enjoy this. It's a sturdy build, it's posable, and ready to do some damage. Maybe. And it's combining two ideas into one- real LEGO thinking in there!
  11. I like how this guy looks! He's pretty well bulked-up, especially around the torso. I'm not a fan of the asymmetrical shoulders, but it does kind of work here. One arm is smooth and sleek, the other is bulkier and perhaps more rigid. I do like the double-barrel missile-launcher thing going on there, the gold actually looks kind of good there, and doesn't stand out as much as I would have initially thought. The apple green of Meltdown's tank does stand out a little, but only just. I do feel it could have benefited from a lid on top, just so the liquid content doesn't come gushing out, or the gas seeping. What started as a modification is now a pretty cool looking baddie, and I rather like it. Nicely done :)
  12. I think Beast looks very good! Something's bugging me though- with all the Beasts I've seen, comics or movies, wherever, the hair's always been a darker shade of blue than the body, and here it looks like the hair and head meld into one! It could just be the lighting, mind, and other than that, it does look like a very 'Beastly' minifigure.
  13. Anyone notice how some of the Superhero add-on parts on the Chima figures are upside-down in the pictures? The chest-pecks part, I mean. Wish there were more pictures of Cragger, he looks like an awesome set. I'd love to see how his head goes together.. Gorzan is growing on me too, though the blue does kind of stand out a bit, doesn't it? Also, he's got black fur parts, and fingers, and I really like that! Those two are my favorites of the Chima Figures, for sure. Laval and Worriz look pretty good too. One is sort of a clone of the other, it can work either way, but the parts they give are great. I would definitely pick up a Worriz for those dark red cladding parts, and probably for the 'paws' and blade too, and I would pick up a Laval mainly for his dark red parts, the gold is always nice, and the trans blue blades/cladding would be a great addition to my part collection. The two birds are sort of clones of each other too, aren't they? I like the way Eris' battle axe is built, and the head's pretty stylin' too, and she's got lots of nice white, gold, and trans-blue parts.. while she doesn't scream 'female', she certainly says 'warrior', and that's good enough for me. The other bird, Razar, I presume, is neat to me because of the purple, and the head, and really that's about it. The tools color stand out a bit too much to me, and the bones used to make up the wings stand out way too much. Why they couldn't be done in black I haven't the slightest. I'm not sure if he's one I'd pick up- I'd probably go for Eris if given the choice. So.. yeah, there you go!
  14. After seeing the Korean dub of the "Brain-Attack" episode, I have only one thing to say-
  15. However great the new sets look, I'm focused on getting one of the first wave sets.. first. I'm stuck between Breez and Bulk, both of whom are available at a store near me. Rocka, strangely, isn't. I'm not sure which to get- both have elements I like, don't have, and/or need. Both are interesting characters, and it's hard for me to choose. And.. I can only get one D: Which do you think I should purchase?
  16. Did you use the Superhero-Ultrabuild chest-part as a bottom? I will never be able to look at that piece the same again. Still, it is pretty creative. I can see the standard torso in there, but barely. I like how well you've pulled off the 'feminine' hourglass shape with the "Savage-Planet" paw and the "Breakout" shoulder part. The smooth parts really work well for this sort of thing. I also like that the back isn't open, nor is there just a foot taking up space there. It's smooth and flows along with the rest of the body. The tail is a nice touch, and a nice use of that clip-rod part 'Kit' looks like she has all the posing possibilities of a standard HF figure, that is very good- does the previously mentioned bottom-part get in the way when moving the legs? That hammer, too. That is a good looking hammer. Very sturdy-looking, and ready to do some damage with. I'd love to build a hammer like that.. If I were to have any qualms with this, it would be the bright neon trans lime(however you say the color) parts. I get that under the right light they could look yellow and that's fine by me, but there's something a little off-putting about lime and red together. It does add an interesting color to the scheme, though, and I imagine it would be hard to find trans parts to use otherwise, so that makes my problem with it a very, very small one. -Forget that, the limey-ness is growing on me. I talk too much, so I'll sum it up quick- Kit's a keeper. Good build, short and simple persona, awesome hammer. I really like it, and I wish you the best of luck in the BBC contest.
  17. BP most likely resides in the HF prison, along with other recaptured villains. I wouldn't say it could be Fire-Lord either. I don't think he has the kind of mind to form such a plan. He's more like the drug-addicted kind of villain(fuel in his case). Nah, my guess is it's just a mashup of villains past so viewers could see that somebody was behind the Brain Attack. Most likely, later on in the 'Hero Factory' line, the villain will be revealed in one way or another, and more likely in a different form. Also, Surge getting possessed was and is quite a surprise. I suppose the element of evil in Surge will be exposed now, just not the way any of us were expecting!
  18. I know that much, DraikNova. I was just saying that the Piraka didn't have it on Voya Nui, so the mask on the vat must me a carving of some sort. Did Makuta (Teridax) ever take back the Mask of Shadows himself? That much I do not know.
  19. The folder is still not public at the time of writing. However, from what I can see in the picture, I think you got the look of the Antidermis vat down pretty well. Or at least, how it appeared in the comics, anyway. I like the use of the Krakkhan here, even though in the books it says the 'Mask of Shadows' was lost by the Piraka(they didn't have it on them when they came to Voya Nui), but I could see it viewed as maybe a carving, signifying Makuta's essence took domain here. I really like the build around the base, with all those spikes, and the tubing and claws 'holding' the vat in place. What was used for the tank itself? Really impressive representation here. I really like it :D
  20. Cirkit

    Graffiti

That is a cool little scene there. Love the rusted bike, and the effect of the chain-link fence with the barbed wire. The hole in the wall is a nice touch. It looks like the part of town most Minifigs should stay away from...
  21. I like the coaches and their backstory, the colors are nice and the tale descriptive, but the engine doesn't seem quite right for the train its pulling. I'd rather see someone design a Hall or a Castle-class looking locomotive to head this particular train. I like the engine itself, but it would be better heading a train of different origin.
  22. If we're still allowed to vote, I say the Garrett design in the middle would look rather nice in LEGO form. It's a beast, that one.
  23. It's official- Surge has become a total badMegablock Those wings, those trans-blades, and that helmet.. too good. It's a bummer that his armor isn't going to be trans-yellow like it was initially thought to be. I was really looking forward to that. I'm impressed by the new images, and even more surprised that Dragon Bolt comes in a bag, instead of a box! Why didn't Jet Rocka come in a bag? Speaking of, Rocka with his new jetpack looks incredibly awkward not in-flight. It has the shape of a jet-pack, sort of, and wings, and guns, but head on and without the wings out it just looks bulky and, well, awkward, like I said. However, the box art is interesting enough, and in-flight I get reminded oddly of Buzz Lightyear. Nice. The Dragon looks huge, glad the blades are yellow instead of gold. The brain is interesting too, as it has yellow spikes. Does this mean the eyes will be yellow too? I can't see Frost Beast so well, but he looks like an interesting enough guy. Blades are cool, and all that blue is mouth-watering. I don't eat LEGOS, I just like the colors Stormer looks well equipped to take on the beast. White fur and flick missiles are a plus. I agree with 'Vinyl Scratch' about Evo and Aquagon- they are simply gorgeous. Can't say much more about that. It's a great looking wave, can't wait till they hit stores and the reviews go up everywhere.
  24. Glad to see the new images of these 'Chima' characters. I don't get why people are getting so cross about Eris. As a humanoid-bird warrior I think she looks alright. Color scheme (White, trans blue, and gold) is great in my book, love her axe and the chest decal. The head may not look very, erm, feminine, but it looks like a bird's head, and that's what matters to me. Wings are simple but I like 'em. I'm sad to see Gorzan lost his banana ammo belt.. what a shame. Still looks pretty cool, however- I really like the trans top to the spiked club-thing he's holding. I almost hope the chest decals are stickers- imagine what one could do with a large, gold Stormer XL chest piece like that.. Lots of black-part goodness in that set too. Laval looks exactly the same as before, but I don't mind that a bit. I see here he's got two trans blue blades instead of only one. I quite like the fur parts- wonder what color that is? Doesn't look like classic brown in that light.. The white claws are nice too. Cragger is a personal favorite of mine. That fierce-looking Crocodile head, those new, jagged blades forming a big staff for him to carry around(chain's a nice touch), and those delicious Olive-Green parts.. what's not to love? I assume the wolf-like guy is Worriz? Head looks way similar to the Werewolf minifig we've seen before.. bit square in shape if you get my meaning. The head and fur appear to be in 'Metru bley', that's a plus. It's always nice to see more 'Metru/Dark/Earth Red', especially in cladding, which we've only seen in Pyrox so far. The red blade is great, I can imagine people making all sorts of 'dark Chima warriors' already, or using that blade somehow some more in Hero Factory. To me, this guy is alright. Lastly, is Razar. To me, he looks like a giant, evil, purple lilac-and-black crow, and I'm okay with that, mostly because of the lilac parts. Head's pretty sleek, but looks mean. Not sure what the function of his blades are, but I like 'em. The rest is basically a rehash of Eris, unless there's something I'm missing? Pretty good looking collection of mega-sized minifigs There are some I'd definitely consider picking up, right after I find myself an XT4 and one of the new Breez's.
  25. This guy looks mean. Spikes all over, those claws, that jagged smile, and bullet holes?? Cool use of the stickers, by the way. He's got a very solid looking build. I'm normally not a huge fan of double-jointed legs, but the look is pulled off well here. The legs are nicely bulked up, that grey ball part in Stormer XL comes in handy quite often, and I like how solid the upper legs look with that round armor. Doesn't look lanky or anything. His torso looks similar to Stormer XL's build, but it's different enough to where I don't mind it. I like the 'mesh' of engine parts in the torso, and the paw parts you used for the shoulders. Again, it does appear to look very solid, almost no gaps that I can see. The blades up-top almost look like horns, or fins even. I rather like how that looks with the beastly Drilldozer face. His hands are huge, and I love that you've given him thumbs with those silver claws. I always thought hands with those huge claws needed thumbs of some sort.. I think it looks pretty great for a HF build. This is definitely one villain who's taken some damage, and looks like he can give it just as well. Sorry if I talk too much, kind of have a tendency to go on and on, but this really is a great creation. :)
