Thank you! I'm still hunting for that green tentacle(it's an elusive one, that tentacle) , and I'm making progress on my next build.

Oh man, that is just too cool. When I saw "Family feast" in the description on the front page, I thought it meant the minifigures in the picture. That dude in the hat will be leftovers :P Speaking of which, I noticed the minifig in the hat isn't trying to run away, but instead is waving at the alien trying to get its attention by insulting its mother or something. Either that, or he's terrified and can't move. I vote for the latter, because, well, he's a minifig. The giant alien is pretty great, I like how well it matches its little one-piece offspring. The gaping mouth with all those teeth is pretty neat, and I got a laugh out of the little flailing arms up top. I'm going to assume that the father alien isn't in the picture because the mother ate him or something (like on that show "V"). The people are pretty fun too. The guy with the Jack Sparrow face reminds me of an opera singer or Joel McCrary from that "Princess Diaries" movie back in '01.. for some reason. Hmm. I like the SNOT technique applied to the road, that massive crack and all the little ones just add to the feel of the scene. In short, I love it. And now, if you excuse me, I have to go find some of those "Alien Conquest" sets at my local Target.. Or Walmart. Maybe KMart. Who knows. -Cirkit

This just wins things. I don't know what kind of things, it just does. That would have been a cool idea though. A laser or some kind of launcher on or under him.. the Furnoblade combiner does that with the tail, we always have that option, but still.. (sigh). -Cirkit

Thanks all for the comments, I really appreciate it :) @BoneHead74 Thank you very much. I honestly thought the Meltdown head would look stick out like a sore thumb on this body, but I am just as surprised as you are at how well they blend. This new system really is great. @Front 8D Thanks! I wasn't going to do it at first, but the back looked so gappy.. I'm thrilled that you like it. Thanks @Zork64 Thanks. It was the look I was going for, I'm glad it worked so well. I agree.. It looks more 'evil' than a standard Hero hand.. I will post new pictures of it the moment I can find that green tentacle.. and some other parts. and @Nightcruise Thanks. I did intend to have more pictures up, such as one with Melty going up against a Hero, but my camera battery died. :/ Until I find that tentacle, I'll be working on some other things.. notably, Xplode. -Cirkit

Oh, that's just wicked. Stormer looks like a tank! A tank WITH CLAWS 8D Everything just works here.. System bricks and HF parts fit well together, this shows it. If ever there was an XL, this would be the one I'd buy. :D -Cirkit

Neat drone. I like how good it looks, front and back. It's a very solid looking drone too, few.. or maybe even no gaps at all! I do like the wings (are they wings?) on the back, and the zamor-launcher pieces there too. To me, it kind of creates the illusion of speed. Or featheryness.. either way, it's cool. Color scheme is great too. White and orange make for a great mix, and with the red and blue where they are I don't mind them too much. The only gripe I have with the colors is the green Hero Core. There's nothing else green to go with it, and it looks a little out of place. If it was any of the colors already on the MOC, then I wouldn't mind it so much. Very solid creation, I enjoy how it looks very much. On to the next year! :) -Cirkit

"Attention Heroes! Criminally insane villain Meltdown has escaped prison, and is out on the loose reeking havoc! Somehow after the breakout he was upgraded, given a new meteor launcher, and armor extremely resistant to heat and cold. Find a gap or a weak spot, and take him down!" So yeah, I decided to make a revamp, new-system style, of our old yellow pal Meltdown. Nothing special much here; I just simply looked at his official and animated versions, and went from there. Before anyone mentions it, yes, I do realize that the tentacle is orange, and not lime green. That is because I could not locate the piece fast enough, and I wanted to get this up ASAP, so I wouldn't dismantle it before taking photos of the creation. So here ya go. Front Back I should also note, I used the Toxic Reapa-style for the torso. I had plans to to other things to it, but this just looked the best. Also also, I apologize for the blurryness. Hopefully you can make out the detail on the first pic.. :/ Tell me what you think of it. Feedback and advice is welcome. :) -Cirkit

Heh, that would be pretty cool though. CSI: Hero Factory :P Splitface looks like one heck of a villain. He could be the life of the party, and the one who "accidently" sets the house alight. The bright red and the gunmetal/pearl/dark grey is pretty neat, although I do wish the leg bones could have been different colors instead of the usual, plain ol' black. If and when I do pick up these sets, he'll be one of the first.. right along with Reapa, Breez, Black Phantom, and probably Surge, because I need moar blue. -Cirkit

That would be even better.. I would like it if they'd update the builder to allow those larger 5-long plates (like for Surge's current shoulders) to be used on the arms and legs, instead of just as torso armor. The inclusion of the 5 or 6-long orange pieces from Thornraxx would be pretty awesome too. I felt the same way. It is a shame that there aren't a wider variety of names, but I guess there isn't much helping that. Glad everybody's happy. :) -Cirkit EDIT: Strange.. the multiquote didn't show all the quotes.. meh oh well.

Okay, so even if the contest winnings were simply bragging rights, what would this contest be about? What kind of theme would it be, what would the criteria be for entering, etc. Questions that must be thought about before starting said contest. And finding a way to generate interest in it.. I wouldn't know how to myself, but it is another thing to think about. -Cirkit

Since I can't seem to find an 'Official Hero Recon' topic, or anything really like it, I think I should post this here. After a long period of just guy names, the Hero Recon site finally has the option of giving your Hero (from the Hero Creator) feminine names! The names added include Brooke, Ella, Faith, Heather, Holly, Hope, Jane, Jennifer, Sally, and Summer. The title "Queen" has also been added to the codename list. If someone already posted this, I apologize. I am just so thrilled about it. Now all I'm waiting for is the inclusion of the larger no. 5 plates for use on the arms/legs.. :) -Cirkit

Thanks! I noticed that the Villains at the start of the video are animated differently from the other fleeing villains in the trailer.. and the Heroes are already upgraded. Promotional purposes, maybe? Phantom looks absolutely awesome at the start, just clubbing EVO to one side.. and I wouldn't have thought it, but Sharkblade, with the hands, looks pretty awesome too. What's weird is that they say 'the greatest heroes ever', and list Surge and Evo. Stormer I could imagine, Furno's pretty easy to place as a 'great' Hero, but Surge.. eh. Again, I bet it's for promotional purposes only. I do hope there is more than one episode this time around.. I don't want to see a bunch of good looking sets to come out, only for them to be abandoned from the show completely. Thanks again for the link! :)

What video did this come from? Stringy looks friggin' awesome! It appears he has an arm-cannon as well.. reminiscent of the first version.. nice. I'm not as bothered by the lack of orange as I should be, but black and blue together is a pretty great scheme, so.. cool. Cirkit

So the only Hero sets we haven't seen (in the catch-and-cuff videos) are Breez, Nex, and Bulk. I could understand why TLG's not showing Nex and Bulk, summer sets and all, but where the heck is Breez?? I mean really. The music in the videos don't seem as fitting with the action scenes as the Rocka video was.. but there's not much I can do about that.

Culdee! What a delight. And his coach Catherine too! Great. Tilted funnel, cylinders back-to-front.. just like the engine in the books. I do think Catherine is a tad bit short, but I imagine you were working with limited bricks and limited track space, so it is alright. A minor complaint for a wonderful creation that brings back so many childhood memories. :) -Cirkit

I agree! Splitface is creepy, but he makes for a good villain. I see he has his own 'lair'.. nice. I have seen your art on Deviantart before, I was as impressed then as I am now with your style of work. The colored Splitface is one of my favorites, it just looks right. Fleshy and soft on one end, rigid and metal on the other.. bet his personality's a bit messed up too. All of it, just great. :) Have a happy Christmas and New Years. :) -Cirkit

I have mixed feelings about this revamp. Evo still looks the part, with his awesome tank arm and acid/sludge/toxic waste-resistant boots, and I see you've replaced the red and white with purple and blue- much closer to the 2.0 set we all know and love. But, the asymmetry of the unmodified new Evo was what made the set interesting to me.. Don't get me wrong, I do like the bulky look, the guy is supposed to work artillery, and thick, bullet(or acid)proof armor is advised, but I'm not that big a fan of the symmetry here. His back armor is quite nice, I cant' believe how well that shield piece fills out the back. Does it get in the way when moving Evo's arms back? The height is all very well, he looks better proportioned now, and his tank arm isn't dragging along on the ground- a much needed improvement, I think. I also like how you changed the color of the head from red to blue. It looks much better, especially with the purple core and spikes placed on there. I don't like that the tech print on his torso piece is covered up, but with the 2.0 chest plate armor over that, there's not much you can do with it. I would like to see how the old core would look directly on the torso armor, or perhaps see how the new Hero Core looks with the your revamped Evo. Lots of ideas going on in my noggin.. In short, I like it. Few complaints here. I hope you have a Happy Christmas, and a Merry New Years... or however it goes. -Cirkit

Oh, I don't know, I think with the coattails up in the air, and the glowy engine piece on the back, the alt model looks quite menacing.. or at least, to me, anyway. -Cirkit

So soon with the leaked pictures? I am surprised. Not so much with the two already seen in the "Rocka Vs BP" video, but still surprised. I have to say I have very mixed feelings on these guys. Nex is okay, I'm glad he's using a helmet that looks similar to the old 2.0 one. To me, it kind of looks like a football player's helmet. Bulk, Stringer, and White Hulk Stormer's helmets are the same, so there's not much for me to say about them. But if Bulk's white and Stringer's blue.. augh! I truly hope those are only prototype images and not finalized ones, because if they were, my world would come crashing down.. okay, not really, but still. White Hulk deserve own paragraph. White Hulk SMASH!! Really, he's a bit big. Makes sense because he's the leader, and the oldest of the known Heroes, but he's almost too big. The sword's just awesome, kind of makes sense considering he is 'old fashioned' somewhat (the site bio said something along those lines), and those snowflakey-blade pieces on the shoulders.. just great. I really hope he's got some trans blue going on up in there, to help with the icy effect. The Villains of this wave, so few as they are, aren't much to look at. Purple-man's got a lot going on, and the reusing of that BP helmet isn't so great. He looks... cluttered. Core Drainer Core Hunter RoboVamp looks excellent from what I can see. Loads of black and bright red, and those talon-claw things.. just great. XT-4's name is great and robotic, but I can't say the same on his build. It looks too much like Waspix with Meltdown's head, although the feet in that color are greatly welcomed. If there is a "Speeda Demon", I really hope he has wheels. And Jets. And Cannons that shoot sharks with lazers, shooting confetti that screams. Just crazy stuff for a crazy name. I welcome the new wave with open arms, and a arm-cannon, and can't wait to see what TLG's got in store for us next. -Cirkit

If the Marvel and DC worlds combined, then maybe this theory could work. I'd actually like to see Bats versus Cap, but that's irrelevant. The modified 'armor' looks great. 'Lantern looks far closer to his comic book stylings than before; with the shoulder-pads as low as they are now, they make the figure look more solid as compared to the gaps left in the official set. Lower arms look great too. Joker, well.. is more purple. Or lilac. And I like that. It looks like he's got the suit with a green vest instead of a green and purple suit, and the whole thing looks much more.. stable, despite the character not being as such. Have you done away with the coattails? I can't seem to see them in the pictures, and that is a little disappointing to me.. they were one of my favorite things of the original sets. But, the augmentations as a whole look great. -Cirkit EDIT: Thanks for the pictures of the backs. That's a pretty simple way to mount the shoulders, simple but effective. Now that I can see the coattails on Joker's, well, coat :P , I can say that I am very pleased with the look. The gunmetal grey plate is a little strange to me, but it makes sense because he is supposed to be wearing 'power armor'. I also liked the 'come at me' pose in the bottommost picture, that made me laugh a little. :)

What's up? I'm Cirkit. I'm new here, and I'm not there, so that's something. I've been all over online, Youtube and Facebook, Deviantart and.. well actually that's it. I like drawing stuff, like trains and people, but I stink at animals for some reason. I mean, they're just humans with four legs and no thumbs and little ziggy zaggy lines for fur or feathers or metal plates to mount rocket launchers on or whatever, it shouldn't be that hard to draw them.. but it is. :/ I also like playing with and building with Lego bricks/parts. I mean, if I didn't, then why would I be here typing this sentence? I mean, really. I like the system and the Bionicle/Action figures both well, but I build more with the Action figure pieces. Mostly because the others are in a box in the closet that despite being nearly six and a half feet tall, I can't reach without breaking my spine like one of those old lime-green ball-socket pieces from Toa Hahli's Barraki-era set. Augh. I need a crane or something to shift through all the crud and Lego bricks in my room. I got more recently from a neighbor who's friends with my brother and knows I like Lego, and I thought it would be just a small box with canisters on the side, but instead was four large plastic tubs, and- Sorry.. I do that sometimes. Not going to be bothered going back over it, so I'll just leave it there. Yeah.. SO I'm new, and I hope to get along well with everybody here, and things and stuff that doesn't really say much of anything.. soo.. Woo. Ask me what you want to, I'd be more than happy to answer questions etc. So.. yeah. Later. - Cirkit.
