  1. It's 6pm in the Czech Republic, KA1 posted around this time two days ago, tension building
  2. That makes sense, I posted a few days ago that the side under the Great Hall looks like it make have a few light blueish grey pieces which could be the Slytherin statue, as well as a rock piece that doesn't look attached which may be how the Basilisk gets in the statue's mouth. My current guess is the Great Hall contains a Duelling Club scene, with the other half having Lockhart's DADA on the lower section (probably with a mysterious hole in the floor in case the owner doesn't get the bathroom set) and another Dumbledore's office in the upper level. The turret may have an Owlery or Astronomy Tower section too.
  3. Now that would be good! Perhaps they could include three Gryffindor ones too so we could play out the whole scene... too much to ask perhaps
  4. Sand green back and tan belly would have been my preference, but I like the bold olive green and it reminds me of the aforementioned Smaug, as well as the LotR Cave Troll which was a brighter sand blue colour rather than the dark grey colour from the films. The creatures stood out well, the new Hungarian Horntail is noticeably duller in dark brown rather than the reddish brown of the 2005 one, which I think is the only advantage of the old over the new. I'd be happy if a future Mountain Troll had the same sand blue colour.
  5. The most famous/recognisable HP characters to make in gold for the anniversary are probably the Trio and Voldemort (confirmed) as well as Dumbledore, Snape, Malfoy and Hagrid, then probably McGonnagall and Neville/Ginny. Hagrid is probably less likely as he'd need a recolour of his massive torso and arms as well as beard. Therefore if those hairpieces are legit, Malfoy and Snape wouldn't be a surprise at all.
  6. You learn something new every day Now THAT is good!
  7. Cho? Seamus? Dean? Lee? Colin? Blaise? Some great moments with each if them. Gotta admit I love the smaller characters Lego has introduced, nice to see Justin and Colin joining this wave. Best music - Harry in Winter!
  8. No problem, thanks for replying. With the butterbeer glass in the bathroom set prelims I'm sure we'll see em in Hogsmeade
  9. My local Asda has put them on the highest shelf, so my guess is they were getting a lot of people feeling the bags. They're still full price though, I'd love a few extra Neville and Griphook figs :/
  10. My guess is Fluffy guards the upper longer section, based on his size, and the trapdoor is in the tower section, with Devil's Snare on the ground level. It would be great if the keys were in the very open-looking ground floor room. For the Chamber of Secrets, if you look in the archway under the Great Hall in the prelims, you can see two light bluish grey sticky out bits, I think they may be strands of Salazar Slytherin's beard/hair. The middle rock piece under the Great Hall looks less attached than the surrounding parts, so I think it might pull out to allow the Basilisk to 'Slytherin' to the Chamber. @Guyon2002 at on point (I think) you mentioned strangely sized windows in the bathroom set and butterbeer glasses in Hogsmeade which don't appear in the prelims. Do you know anything more about the interiors, and do you like them (I'd understand if you can't say of course). Apologies if you've been asked that before!
  11. I think the Riddler was saying they'd prefer future Gringotts in that price range and have a more expensive Hogsmeade set with more of the village. I have a mostly finished studio Moc of Gringotts in the £90-100 set price range style that I think looks good, I'll finish it when I get a new laptop one day. The downside in that price range is no dragon, but the build can certainly be done in scale with DA.
  12. I like the one on the right best, its the most accurate height I think, and would look a good size next to a minifig. If there was a 2x2 square version of the round tile with hole in the middle, that would look better, but yours looks great considering that piece doesn't exist.
  13. The bathroom has mostly tiles on it's ceiling with a few studs, I think it can be added into the tower in 73689, so the sink alpines above the entrance to the Chamber of Secrets. I think it would be added between the ground floor level and first floor level (or first floor and second floor, depending on which terminology yor country uses ) Would the gold figures even have preliminary art? This isn't a final product catalogue.
  14. I must admit I'm surprised there is so much negativity around this wave, we've known about the change in colour scheme, and that there will be throwback and hints to the first waves for some time. However, some of these sets are virtually bang on what has been requested in the Future HP sets threads and various wishlists in the official yearly threads I can't wait to get my hands on Hogsmeade and make the roofs snowier
  15. Good job I think these look great then
  16. WOW. I know they're just prelims but: All the builds look good! Jumpers in the Forbidden Corridor isn't great. Harp looks sick. Fluffy seems a little small but molded heads are great. CoS looks good from the outside, clearly not a GH remake as the emphasis isn't an external hall structure. I wish the turrets were dark grey for my collection but they look good! I guess the bathroom set fits underneath the part in the Cos set with two sets of windows. I like the CoS door. Mrs Flume and Rosmerta have the wrong hair
  17. Not sure if these pieces have been suggested before, I just got these two masks in a Bricklink order and thought they could work for Star Wars. I don't fancy paying about £20 just to have the printed heads from the UCS Falcon, so I added the breathing mask from the Sky Police sets. For the TPM jedi respirators, the scuba gear that I think comes from Avengers sets, compared to the printed versions from the 2012 Gungan Sub. I also gave Obi-Wan a Medium Nougat version of Finn's Hair.
  18. I must have missed this, is this 100% right?
  19. Yeah, I'd love something that, but not yet! Give it a few years, have it as a PS/OotP mashup for the station building and include the Hogwarts Express and put it at a £350 or similar price point
  20. Got it, it's from 70425, nice one. Just saw the fireplace technique in the full build, very good :)
  21. Very nice, could you tell me where the portrait on the 2x3 tile comes from?
  22. It should lead to Devil's Snare, but I agree with you. It'd be good to see the other rooms, especially the chess pieces. I've got about 50 keys with wings waiting for a room to fly about in
  23. That's good, the 2002 Basilisk was a pretty good size, the raised neck and curved tail meant it was quite a good minifigish size figure. Fluffy was rather small, probably because Lego was building it on the old Triceratops/Stegosaurus legs. Fingers crossed! The Troll in the girls bathroom scene would be great, with loads of smashing functions. The Troll I think would probably be mostly brick built, maybe with some printed or specialised pieces, similar to Grawp. The trio in dirty/torn robes would be a nice new design, unless Harry and Ron get them in CoS. I think the one eyed witch statue only appears in PS. I think the easiest way would be bricks attached to a neck bracket, otherwise a new element would probably be needed.
  24. I'm sure about half my Sand Green biomass is from those two pieces :D Yeah, the half cone piece and the big old roof piece are a similar side, I think they're both eight studs wide, so are easy to swap. I'm not a huge fan of those pieces anymore, but for the sake of nostalgia I'm fine with them for this wave. The smaller piece could be recreated near enough with double convex slopes. I've got to say I'm looking forward to the bathroom and Chamber of Secrets interiors much more than the exteriors for this wave.
  25. Winterva McGonagall? The big one that appeared in the 2011 Hogwarts set twice is still around, the little one that came in 2001 Snape's Classroom and Forbidden Corridor etc hasn't been around since the early 2000s
