  1. No problem! Snape's Office and Potions classroom are in the Dungeons below the Viaduct Entrance (the build in the Astronomy Tower set). They are so far under the school you could make an argument for them being anywhere, but the entrance in Myrtle's bathroom is in the aforementioned Viaduct Entrance This is where the OotP and HBP games get a little messy, they'd suggest the entrance to Slytherin is near Potions class, and I suppose that's no impossible, but it makes more sense to add them below the Quad or Great Hall which have more sides near the Lake.
  2. There are lots of 'corridor' areas that haven't appeared yet, for the most part these are just long and square, apart from the more ornate Long Gallery (between the Viaduct Entrance and the Bell Towers) and two sides of the Quad which have big arched entrances. As for towers, we've had the Grand Staircase Tower, Clock Tower, Astronomy Tower and the four towers surrounding the Viaduct Entrance. The tower in the Whomping Willow set is suggestive of being part of the old Training Grounds Tower by its placement, and the one in the Clock tower set would be Gryffindor Tower, however the interiors of these towers don't match the exterior. As such I'll include these in the list. Missing Towers: Pepperpot (next to Great Hall, round tower.) Headmaster's Tower (on top of GST, three joined round towers.) North, Gryffindor and Stone Bridge/Lookout Towers (the other three towers around the Quad, round towers, when SBT becomes Lookout Tower it gets a big balcony at the top.) Hospital Tower (between North Tower and Gryffindor Towers in the Quad, bridge corridor leads to Clock Tower. Pentagon shaped.) Central Tower (atop the Long Gallery, square tower.) Bell Towers (joined towers at the end of the Long Gallery, square towers.) Dark Tower (around the Middle Courtyard, Sirius is held here in PoA, round tower with jail on top. Removed in HBP.) DADA Tower (around the Middle Courtyard, basically a shorter Astronomy Tower without the big hole at the top and extra towers around it. Removed in HBP.) Training Grounds Tower (around the Middle Courtyard, changes shape throughout the films, final appearance is like a shorter Bell Tower.) Owlery (round Tower with hatches for Owls, behind castle, nearest the TGT.) Missing Areas: The Quad, Middle, Clock Tower and Entrance/Viaduct courtyards The Training Grounds, minus the WW. The Wooden Bridge, Stone Bridge, Suspension Bridge and Viaduct. The Sundial Garden The Boathouse Classroom 1B (between the DADA Tower and Central Tower, is replaced by Dark Tower in PoA) Training Grounds Entrance (Next to the Astronomy Tower, two squarish buildings. One has one end of the Suspension Bridge after the DADA tower is removed. Overall, plenty of different areas and types of build to keep us going for some time, and plenty of building styles for the external appearance, so we can get lots more wonderful, varied interiors.
  3. Ah, of course, the day after I buy something from Argos with next day delivery, and the day I buy them for less discount somewhere else! Thanks for the heads up, might get a cheeky second of RoR.
  4. For Crabbe and Goyle, who also have close cropped hair, I've been using the following piece. Crabbe's piece is black, I painted one dark brown for Krum, but it's better than the short afro piece, but still not great. A new piece specifically for cropped hair would be great.
  5. Late 1800s could mean we see the following students at Hogwarts - Albus and Aberforth Dumbledore, Elphias Doge, Bathilda Bagshot, Marvolo Gaunt, Muriel Weasley perhaps? As well as the normal house ghosts, Peeves, maybe a living Binns, Ogg and Pringle too. True, it's also got the wooden bridge so all of Hogwarts from the films is in the game. There is actually very little description of Hogwarts in the books, whcih surprised me when I reread them recently. Suppose it's mostly up to the reader's imagination.
  6. I've been excited for this for ages, it certainly looks exciting! Interesting that Hogwarts looks different than it does from the films, rather than stick with the DHII layout as seen in CoG. Off the top of my head, the Greenhouses are now only along the side of the long gallery and they look joined together, Bell Towers are smaller but Central Tower is taller, Viaduct and Quidditch Pitch are back to HBP position, Boathouse and Stone Bridge have DHII look, Lookout Tower has a new look, Astronomy Tower has moved to a different part of the Courtyard, Training Grounds Tower is tiny, but the Training Grounds are back. Most of the buildings have a slightly different look though, like different windows or roofs. The interiors remind me of the old PS/CoS/PoA games. Bit annoyed I'm not getting a PS5 for over a year, looking forward to seeing more!
  7. I would quite like the Duelling Club, different Lockhart and Snape prints, a nice stage construction, Harry and Malfoy, maybe Justin Finch Fletchley too so more house torsos. The Sorting Hat, Flying Lesson, Freeing Dobby and Draco's Encounter with Buckbeak wouldn't add anything new that couldn't be included elsewhere, I suppose Sirius Black Escape for the same reason. A Remembrall and Dead Ferret are the only things I can think of for those sets which could be interesting parts.
  8. Promobricks makes references to the backgrounds all having stickers for the structural parts of the set. Transfiguration/Gryfffindor - windows and paintings depicted with stickers. Potions/Slytherin - stickers to represent vaults and walls. Herbology/Hufflepuff - masonry and plants are also represented here by stickers. Charms/Ravenclaw - windows and wall paneling are shown here by stickers.
  9. Not me, seems rather premature when we don't know piece counts or images. It sounds like McGonagall may finally have a printed dress piece, I don't think she ever wears a cape with her witches hat, so I think that is what the 'cape' phrasing refers to. Snape sounds the same as ever, Sprout could just be the version we got in the CMF but with legs, or based on one of her other two costumes. Worn in CoS at the Welcome Feast, Quidditch Match, when Mrs Norris is found I think. Worn in DHII during the Battle of Hogwarts. I'm looking forward to getting Flitwick, someone mentioned before using Dwalin's beard with Filch's hair, but that wouldn't fit. It may fit with Ernie's hair from the Knight Bus, otherwise I think it may just be the beard and no hairpiece at all. For the students it's a shame we're not getting Ravenclaw and Slytherin Herbology gear, or Hufflepuff uniform. I reckon Justin and Padma are included, rather than Cedric and Cho. The rooms themselves sound sticker heavy, and like they are half class room and half dorm/common room.
  10. I just looked it up, the official Lego layout has the Clock tower behind the Great Hall, the Stonewars one has from left to right Great Hall-Clock Tower-Whomping Willow-Astronomy Tower if I'm looking at the same thing. First of all, I don't think it matters about official layouts, considering that half the Hogwarts sets in the current layout are being discontinued after Christmas, and RoR isn't in the official layout. Also I can see a potential Bell Tower set fitting behind the Viaduct Entrance/Greenhouse part, with two Bell Towers and a representation of the Long Gallery leading up to the existing part. All the open sided stuff would be on the same side so the display would be constant. The Bell Towers are the most distinctive towers left, being pretty much identical to the Central Tower and Training Grounds Tower, but as there are two of them it would give more space for play features and details inside. The towers remaining around the Quad are round ones and look more like the Staircase Tower and the one present in the Clock tower set. Entrance Courtyard and Viaduct, the Boathouse and the Wooden Bridge would be my top picks for Hogwarts areas in the next wave, but as all three have parts below Hogwarts floor lever, I'm not sure if they would be connected to the main structure.
  11. I 100% shred! Advent calenders are chocolate for me, the ACs are just really expensive lego sets :)
  12. True, and back then there were only Quirrell, Snape, McGonagal and Lockhart as teachers with classrooms too, now we have all DADA teachers, all heads of houses, Divination and Filch too. Having a tower housing either Fluffy's Trapdoor room or Myrtle's bathroom with the rest of the PS chambers/CoS at ground level would work for me.
  13. That's really interesting. Apart from the two 2010/11 Hogwarts sets which could be connected, the rest have either never been able to be connected with connection points (2004 onwards) or were just connected by stacking them (2001-2002). In my memory/mind, past waves were much more inter-connected. I think the way the modules currently work is great. The 2001-2002 waves featured parts which didn't connect to the main structure (like the Sorting Hat) and you needed to have certain sets to get the correct heights and width to fit the level above. Now it's very much pick whatever sets you want and they'll all fit together however you like.
  14. So off the top of my head... Hogwarts express - Meeting Hermione and Ron, facing the Dementor, meeting Cho, dreaming Voldemort, being attacked by Malfoy. As well as Hogwarts Boats, Hogwarts Carriages, Flying car, Ariana's portrait. Not a great deal of variety, but I'll give it a go!
  15. Is the contest only to create a scene of Harry arriving back at Hogwarts in any of the seven ways from the books/films? Not sure I understand, won't that be a very repetitive contest?
  16. Unless they printed on Dobby's headpiece, I don't think they could do Kreacher in an AC, I have a feeling there are no new molds for them as well as poly bags.
  17. I love these, I might have to use that hood method on Kingsley myself. I posted an image of the owner on another thread I think, were the dark blue wizard parts from BAM? Looks good.
  18. I think the Beorn figure from the Hobbit was released after the actor was arrested for some drugs offence. I doubt it would be a problem anyway.
  19. Smaller amounts of figures in regular CMFs wouldn't bother me, I usually want between 2-8 of them, they normally just aren't for me, but I'd never say Lego was running out if ideas. Pretty much every figure is very good, but the costumes and City/Town figures are rarely what I'm after. If Harry Potter (currently the only Licenced theme I'm interested in that has a CMF) went down to 12 figures, you'd imagine Harry would still appear, probably Ron and Hermione too, leaving only maybe nine places free for more diverse characters. If they keep the trend of about half the figures being students too... Having said that, series 3 isn't even confirmed so :)
  20. https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=web&rct=j&url=https://www.google.co.uk/maps/%4051.693249,-0.419633,3a,75y,274.23h,91.66t/data%3D!3m4!1e1!3m2!1su1gcE6cVKELE_xgImwtVHQ!2e0%3Fhl%3Den&ved=2ahUKEwiW-vGlidTrAhWKyaQKHT1MCDgQFjAAegQIARAB&usg=AOvVaw0_PqfXr6bjTFXKP-uTGeRk Go to the bottom of the street where Potages is on the right hand side. The first five shops on this side of the Alley don't really change shape, although the later films make the Alley more curved. In the earlier films, Potages is the location for the Magical Menagerie, the Apothecaries are in the right place, Wiseacres was where Eeylops now is, and Eyelops was where QQS was. The next two shops are Madam Malkins and Potages in the earlier films, you can get a good look at them in PS.
  21. There are various Rebels (e.g. Dodonna, Red Leader) and Imperials (e.g. Motti, Tagge) are missing, as well as Aunt Beru. There are varients like Lando (Han's clothes), Leia (jumpsuit) and Luke (recover robes) as well as force ghosts who are missing too. Aside from aliens there are also the CZ droids and R4 series astromechs missing, as well as astromech and protocol droid variants.
  22. Ah, that's very helpful, thanks! I may go with this colour (green?) for the Menagerie as I assume they kept the same colour scheme for the shop when the set got revamped. Otherwise that's all really helpful, thanks so much! That's a nice idea with Malkins using the garage piece. Ideally the window pieces from QQS and F&B would be available in the correct colours, but in lieu of that the small windows will do nicely. Right now with the parts and colours available I'm thinking: Wiseacres dark blue Malkins dark purple Potages black Eyelops white, tan or even light grey - ill have to experiment. Menagerie dark green or red. I forgot to check the colours for the Apothecaries! Thanks, I have the basic shape for the ground floor sorted for the other half of the street, but not all the right colours yet. If possible I'll upload something in a week or so :)
  23. GB price is likely to be about £280-£330 right? Why bring out such a lovely set when I still need to get Hogwarts, Barracuda Bay, Diagon Alley and the AT-AT?! Looking forward to parting out my three old Mos Eisley sets and making room for this one. Might use the dome from the second version to make another random building. It looks like the cantina might be a bit more square than the 'real' thing, but should be easy to mod in some extra booths if that is the case. Good to see a V-35, I'll probably try and make a second in the Lars Family colour scheme. It would have been nice to get an A-1 or Void Spider over another Ubrikkian 9000, but no real bother. A very good selection of patrons, Muftak being the one I'd like which is missing. I'm not sure if the Devaronian has a minifigure head and then a piece on top like Darth Maul/Black Panther, but if it does I think it could be recoloured and repurposed for a Gotal, unless it has ears.
  24. To go along with the 12 Grimmauld Place talk, I made another lovely list of places and things not yet made in the 2018-present line. I didn't bother with any of the parts of Hogwarts, other than the parts not directly linked to the castle like Hagrid's Hut and the Whomping Willow. Vehicles: Flying Motorbike, Durmstrang Ship Locations away from Hogwarts: Gringotts, The Leaky Cauldron, Knockturn Alley and other Diagon Alley Shops, Hogsmeade (village and station), The Riddle House, Quidditch World Cup, Azkaban, The Ministry of Magic, 12 Grimmauld Place, Spinner's End, Budleigh Babberton, The Orphanage, The Cave, The Wedding Tent, Granger Home, Malfoy Manor, The Cafe, The Tent and the frozen pool, Godric's Hollow, Love good House, Shell Cottage, Nurmengard Areas of Hogwarts not linked to the castle Second/Third Task locations, Owlery, Entrance Gate, Dumbledore's Tomb
  25. It's taken straight from the movies, so not a figment of the designer's imagination. I agree it sounds dangerous though!
