Wow, if true, that's too bad. Not that I'm doubting the info, but why would a big reveal like this be a remake? This gives people nothing to talk about, except complain about a remake, and a remake of a set that didn't even need remaking.

Review Review: 21103 Back To The Future Time Machine
LegoDad replied to Rufus's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Great review. You have pushed me back to the purchase side of this one. After seeing the Cuusoo and final version next to each other, I agree that the final version is better, even though I'm not 100% sold on the hood. In the end, the 6x8 slope is too drastic and does not look quite right either. I am thrilled that the license plates and flux capacitor are printed tiles, as well at the date tile. My kids haven't got into BTTF movies yet, but I know they'll watch them at some point of their childhood and will love to have this. I was 8 when the original came out and still love the movie to this day, the other 2, well, not as much.- 207 replies

Target has been putting up a lot of new(er) sets on clearance for this summer. It has been very different from store to store, but I have heard of Lone Ranger Train being clearanced 30%, and I have personally seen the Umbarran MHC clearanced. I can't claim to have bought anything in quite a while, actually.

This is my exact issue with the set. A lot of little builds doesn't make you sit back and think you got your money's worth. I really like the look of it, and it will go together with the rest very well, but when you make a bunch of 200 piece sets, you feel like you should have spent $50, not $100. That said. I will buy it because it is still very well done.

Silver City Mafia: Finale - How the West Was Won
LegoDad replied to Tamamono's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
Thanks for the feedback, Tammo. In hindsight, I agree that we should have been a bit less cautious with our conversions. The worst thing that could happen was Redblade would die and we could get in good with the town since one of us could get his converting job. I had a pretty good idea I was going to die the night I did since I had been blocked. I was hoping the town blocked me and not the scum, but when I never got a pm about it, I had a good idea I was doomed, and was unable to protect myself. I was much more active in Aperture since the wintertime I have much more time on my hands, and I was able to be around a computer a lot of the time. Not so much in the summer, so I get on when I can. It makes it hard to follow the thread when you're catching up to 2 or 3 pages of posts. You really get out of the flow of the game and lose track of all your suspicions and defenses for what you have said in thread. I will probably wait to play again until later this fall so that I can devote enough time to the game. I loved being on the Mason team, too bad we couldn't help the town more. -

Tammo, thanks again for having me and congrats on the great game. I loved what you were able to do with the LDD. Great job, scum team. It was pretty obvious by about Day 4 that this game was over, since the town was losing PR's left and right and there were no serious threats to the scum team at all. I loved being a 3rd party, even though we were aligned with the town. It was nice to be able to truly act townie but the role still had that hint of secrecy since we had our own conditions for victory. This puts me at 0-3 so far, still looking for that elusive win. -

Silver City Mafia: Day 4 - Dances With Wolves
LegoDad replied to Tamamono's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
I'm also not ready to vote for Kenneth, we are still under assumptions about his role at this point, nothing is remotely close to concrete at this point. I see where you guys are coming from on this angle, though. If something can be determined about him regarding him being a non town killer, I will vote that way, be it today, tomorrow, whenever. Carletta appears to be comfirmed as Vanilla, whether it is town or scum, we don't know, but she(and Tony) apparently have no roles. Boris, to me, does still seem to be helping the town, I don't find him too scummy, same can be said for Abigail, I don't get an overall scum feel from her. I'm going to follow along with what Perry and Tristan have said so far, as they don't have any detractors calling their bluff. It seems to be on the up and up right now, though it's still a bit convoluted. This really leads me to my last suspect, Michael. From early weird behavior to going after Clay for no real reason, I just don't get what he's trying to do. I want to believe that he's town, but I feel that way about a lot of people, and it can't be that way, since there HAS to be Coyotes among us. Some folks that I think are town must be Coyotes, just are hiding it well. I know this is going to look bandwagon, but really, Michael, to me, is the best lynch prospect AT THIS TIME. There isn't much time for things to change, I realize that, but maybe something will come up for us. Vote: Michael (Mencot) -
Silver City Mafia: Day 4 - Dances With Wolves
LegoDad replied to Tamamono's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
I guess it depends on what God wants, but role cop should be able to tell allegiance as well as role. I had that job in another town and was able to do that. This story has my brain turning in circles, and don't really know what to make of it. On the surface, it looks great, we may have nabbed the SK, but what if the whole story is made up? It just looks like a grand scheme to me, since there is very little anyone seems to be able to do to disprove it. At the same time, being unable to disprove it could mean that it is, in fact, true. I'm going to re-read(again) and see if anything comes of it since I need to get my vote in here at some point. Still working at the store, though. -
Silver City Mafia: Day 4 - Dances With Wolves
LegoDad replied to Tamamono's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
Patrick, if you're going to come after me with a bunch of crap, at least figure out how to read. I was claiming that at first, Esther was not the best lynch Day 1 since it was possible she had a PR, I didn't want to vote her at that point. Caleb was flailing away at the end of Day 1 and was very much looking like a troubled scum. I also said that I felt that Sheridan was a safer lynch(than Esther) as well since she wasn't claiming any roles. I would rather lose a possible vanilla than a possible PR. Does that make sense to you? On Day 2, the Esther show was in full force ending with a Vanilla claim, after strongly hinting at having a PR previously. This was basically outright lying to the town and she needed to be lynched. I didn't vote for her until she had basically ceased communication with anybody, and then came the vanilla claim. It was a mess, and I'm glad it's over. The "parameters" that you claim that I violated was that if Esther came out with a believable claim, i would switch my vote. That never happened, as claiming vanilla is not what she had been talking about, you know that as well as I do. It could have been true, but who was going to believe a word coming out of her mouth at that point. As for Beatrice and Connie, my vote was between the two of them personally, and I felt that Beatrice was scummier than Connie. This is very interesting, but I think it's more of events unfolding as the week goes on. Tristan, to me, seems pretty townie. I have pretty much been sending my votes so far to those that don't contribute very much, or in Esther's case, lead us on wild goose chases. In that regard, I should vote for someone like Boris, but he doesn't seem TOO scummy to me. Fluffy, yeah, but I've been wrong that way before. Last town I acted fluffy, though..........hmm. Michael is also not giving us much, and a bit rough around the edges, but that was his style when I met him in another town as well, and he was a good guy, in the end. Carletta also doesn't really lend much to the conversation, either. Her name keeps getting longer, is her nose doing it as well? Abigail, another quiet one, but again, I'm not going to rush to vote off another person that doesn't talk as much as the next guy. Are we to believe that Kenneth is the SK now? I guess the time frame matches up for when he came to town and we started seeing green faces, is it that easy? I really want, and need to vote at this point, as I'm not 100% sure I'll be able to check back with you before my shift at the general store gets over. Tristan, if you have more to add that could link Kenneth and the SK role, I would love it, as it would give us a nice lynch instead of throwing darts at the wall like we seem to be doing right now. -
Silver City Mafia: Day 4 - Dances With Wolves

These are some interesting lists, they have some similarities, but some wide ranging disparities as well. There have been some very openly challenged individuals not even make the lists. How were these made up again? I'm not offended I'm on a couple lists, but since I don't think I've had a single detractor in this town, except for showing up on this list, I'm not sure how I came up "scummy" all of a sudden. I also don't really like how convenient your story is for being able to comfirm yourself town. I'm not calling you a liar, just doesn't sit right with me, you will need to prove more to me for me to completely buy in to this. This has been pretty much Michael's M.O. since being in our town, speaking, but without really saying anything. As stated, pretty much my feelings here. Yes, they both have little useful to say around here, but Boris does "seem" to be helping. Though it is possible he was caught trying to push a bandwagon for Jessica before she died. This has of course, been denied. You're still here? I thought you had packed up and left town on the last train out of here. Good to see you are still around with us. Instead of answering questions we have, why don't you come up with some of your own thoughts and give them to us. We always need new ideas getting bounced around to find scum. -
Silver City Mafia: Day 4 - Dances With Wolves
LegoDad replied to Tamamono's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
Well, crap. While I had my suspicions about Aunt B, I was leaning town on Connie and was pretty sure Jessica was town. I'm really starting to wonder if the folks that are poisoned are not able to talk about it. This is #2 that has gone the way of the green face and they have both essentially given the town nothing before their death. That or they don't know it has happened, but in Zachary's case, it certainly seemed like he knew he was going to die. With both the main targets yesterday being town, not sure we'll get a whole lot from the voting, but you never know. Going to have to start looking at things differently, as the way we've been going about trying to find Coyotes is not working. I sure hope we got something out of last night, we need a lead, people! -
Silver City Mafia: Day 3 - Winchester '73
LegoDad replied to Tamamono's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
I don't think it's impatient, more surprised. I haven't seen any situation like this where there wasn't ANYTHING said yet. I'm not expecting all the PR's to be working together at this point, or claiming irresponsibly to someone random but thought there would be something by now. To defend them, however, I don't find many of us to be overly townie anyway, so their holding onto information could be for good reason right now, especially if it hasn't drawn up anything concrete yet. Molly, I'm also on the fence about the two, but feel definitely more at ease with Beatrice, or whatever she's calling herself these days. -

LegoDad replied to Tamamono's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
Thank you Beatrice for making me feel secure with my vote. Dodgy and unhelpful as usual. Also, it's Day 3, does anybody else find it odd that we have heard literally nothing from any sort of PR? I mean nothing, nada, zilch. We can only go after townfolk for their weird actions for so long. We need some results to start narrowing our field. I know this is obvious stuff, but by now we should be getting concrete evidence from people by now. -
Silver City Mafia: Day 3 - Winchester '73
LegoDad replied to Tamamono's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
I don't get this. There are 29 hours left, and you let someone off the hook with your vote that still hasn't given a decent amount of conversation? And on top of it, to give it to the new guy in town? I understand not being able to be around, we all have jobs around town, but let the vote stick if that is who you feel the most comfortable voting. This 180 seems odd. -

LegoDad replied to Tamamono's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
Yes, I think it's a huge leap to put those together, but I guess if you have been in a situation where a Poisoner was present, I guess it could pop up in the thought process. I have never seen it, so it wasn't even on my radar. I'm not implying I believe you to be the Poisoner, just odd to me that it was your thought process, but I've already discussed why we could think differently. -

After doing some reading, I wonder why he didn't do any asking about a Doctor? I assume the poisoned knows what has happened to them. Jessica, I'm going to be honest. I'm having a hard time believing that you were able to put 2 and 2 together with the wine spilling and Poisoner. If that is really the case of what is happening here. -
Silver City Mafia: Day 3 - Winchester '73
LegoDad replied to Tamamono's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
Having never dealt with a poisoner before, I don't know much about it, but this does seem to mesh with Zachary's odd statements. If he knew he was going to die, though, wouldn't the only person who wanted to be lynched if he already knew he was going to die be a scum? A Townie would probably tell the folks that he had been poisoned and was going to die, so don't waste a vote on him and focus on someone else since he was a lost cause. That's the way I see it at least. If I knew I was marked for death and had 1 more day to live before the toxin got me and was on the chopping block, as a Townie, I think I would tell people what had happened. I must admit, most of my scum-dar on him was due to these odd statements, though he was fishing for results early on before the defeatist attitude. My next in line that I felt needed a little prodding was Beatrice. I agree that Connie doesn't talk a lot, but I'm not convinced it makes her scummy yet. Beatrice has been pretty much downright fluffy, stating the obvious. Vote: Beatrice (Bob) -
Silver City Mafia: Day 3 - Winchester '73
LegoDad replied to Tamamono's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
First off, I'm actually very surprised that Esther has come up town. Her flailing around and story telling about her role were way too far out there to have been a townie. Really no idea what was going on there, maybe she had been hitting the laudanum a little hard. It is very weird how we have only had a single night kill each of the first 2 nights. Either some amazing blocking going on, or we don't have as many killers as these towns normally have. I met Connie in another little mining town, and she was similarly quiet, and she was on the right side of the law. I'm not saying that is the case here, don't know her well enough. While I completely agree that she's staying in the shadows and it is disconcerting, I wouldn't look too much into it at this point. Zachary is also on my list, for the same odd talk and really not bringing anything to the table. Other quiet folk like Connie and Bob don't say much, but they also don't say they think they are dying tomorrow after they get a couple votes and get defensive. Zachary was probably #2 behind Esther for scummy on my list, but I'm apparently not the best scum finder, though I think we about all thought Esther was off in her behavior. As for voting patterns, going to be hard to decifer much after 2 days, especially with Day 2 being relatively unanimous. I could see some issue with those on Day 1 trying to stay off the beaten path and hide a bit by voting for anyone other than Caleb or Esther, but as previously stated, since they have both come up town, there is really little to gain from the votes. -

Since Day 2 is all but wrapped up, what are everyone's thoughts for tomorrow? I definitely have my questions on some of the comments that Zachary has made, and I would definitely like Beatrice to come out of the woodwork. Hopefully we can figure something out from tonight and some real information tomorrow. -
