Thanks again for letting me play and Congrats to the Town team for pulling it out in the end. I am proud of my scum teammates as they almost turned a sure loss into a win. I was a newb scummo and it really showed, I am very disappointed in how I played as I let my team down and am sorry for that. It was very hard for me to see things through a town's eyes when you know so much more information than they do. Looking forward to another game, though I may wait until it's cooler outside and I can devote a little more time to the game.

Mafia Mafia: Day Two - Lynch Lunch Hour!
LegoDad replied to Zepher's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
I'm not giving up, I just don't know what else there is to say. Hinck, I have told you here and in private that the "who" was not as important as the "why" in the Cop kill. I was merely pointing out that I believed him to be killed because of his game, which would point to a Vig or Serial kill. I GET THAT!!!! I don't know how many times I have to say it before anyone believes me. Well, the Werewolf posted while I was typing, so it doesn't matter anyway. Don't think that the irony isn't lost on me that I was metagame lynched for stating that I believed that Def was metagame killed. -

I think many have voiced this same sentiment, good to see it being driven into the ground. I guess I'm guilty of wording things wrong in about the 3rd post of the day and the tunnel vision town and scum alike won't let it die since they know who they're getting rid of. I still stand by what I said earlier, even if it came off wrong. The Cop probably got killed for the reason that he played a completely different game, and made himself suspicious. Whoever did the kill, doesn't really matter, does it? That part wasn't even my main point, just an afterthought. That was all I was trying to convey, I really don't see what was to terrible about it, but I'm relatively new, so maybe it was a mafia faux pas. I'm with you on your primary lynch, I still think FDY is a good lynch, even with giving up, so I will: Un fakevote Cultist : (Fred Daniel Yam) Vote : Cultist (Fred Daniel Yam) I'm not giving up, I have a lot left to play for. But I get the feeling that no matter what I say, I'm going to get torn apart for it because everybody's mind is made up, even though I see plenty of people not doing a damn thing and skating by. When I said "they" know, I mean the scum. It's very obvious what's going on here. The primary lynch is pretty much set, so might as well bandwagon the secondary lynch since they know it's another townie. Misguided townie, maybe, but town nonetheless. -

I'm not really here to satisfy you, that is your job! Had to throw that in. Anyway, I'm making assumptions, we all know what they do and it's doing it to me right now. In my head, it seemed to make the most sense, that is all. I have nothing to base this off of within this game but I know that he has always acted differently in past lives. Why are you so sure the Vig didn't kill last night? Because they told you? You said yourself that you don't 100% trust the information you got from them, so why hammer me with info that you don't even trust 100%? I also like how you're going after non-voters in this fake vote world when we all agreed it was a train wreck yesterday. How's this? fake vote: The Cultist: (fred daniel yam) Because I don't memorize every post I make and make mistakes along the way, and seem to be doing a good job of that now. I used those as examples of 2 possible kills that could have occurred during the night. -

I definitely see where you're coming from and that's why I assumed it was a Vig kill or Serial kill. He was getting a lot of heat from guys like you and wouldn't really make a great Scum kill candidate because he was already getting lynch votes, he was doing fine screwing with you guys all by himself. Maybe I'm reading too much into this, but that was the way that I saw it. -

Being metagamed. He changed his game 180 degrees and it got him killed Night 1 because it made him very suspicious. Remembering Day 1, I think you can agree with this. -

I'm not so sure why I'm getting hammered for saying that I think the Stump is being too quiet and that I'll vote for him because of it. It seems like a completely plausible reason to vote for someone. Maybe I'm guilty of not metagaming everybody in this game as others have done since I'm never played with the guy. It's what got def killed. Others have claimed that they "know" he's town trying to get the scum. HTF do you know that? I will say that his recent post was very good, but where was it so long ago when we were wondering where he was? I have no problem backing off on the Stump and going after the Cultist, he's probably my #2, and the Virgin is right up there too. I'm always going to be leery of non-participants. Pure and simple. I have already stated my change in vote yesterday, no need to go on and on about it. I was under the impression we needed a majority vote on somebody and changed from somebody that nobody else had voted for to a person that had garnered a lot of attention. No lynch for the town doesn't generally help anything this early in the game. -

Actually that post backs up my claim that I was under the wrong assumption, only proving my point. I was saying that if we didn't reach a majority, one of us would be dead anyway because the Werewolf said somebody would be eaten at random if there was no lynch. Got it yet? Thank you, Lover Girl, you posted while I was typing. (oh no, somebody came to another player's defense, they MUST be scum ) -

I'll take the Big Red Science Pill Glad you were able to pick up what I was throwing down there. Yes, I'm not at ease with players that post about 3 times per day, and 1 is to take a pill, and another is to vote, and then run off. If you think that's townie behavior, I guess we're playing a different game. I'll admit, yes, I thought we needed a majority to lynch, it's one of the reasons I changed my vote because I didn't want it to not matter at all. I didn't read the rules REALLY close and since my only other experience of this was where a majority was needed, in my mind I thought that we did here as well, I know that we don't now. I'm not perfect, sorry for that. -

This is a great analysis Doctor. I initially voted for the Stump yesterday, and I think I may very well do the same today. There has seemed to be questionable behavior across the board so far, making it hard to really hone in on somebody. There have been a handful of VERY quiet people, and those are personally who I'm interested in. Day 2 has been here for a while now and only a handful of us have even chimed in it seems. As for the voting and who tied the vote and who gave someone the lead. In all fairness, it was very hard to know even where the vote stood yesterday. I know that I will pay more attention to where we stand as far as votes go, but since it appears we don't need a majority to lynch, bandwagoning on somebody becomes less of an issue. Hell, a tied vote today at the top doesn't really even come into play with the 2 lynches(unless there are more than 2 tied, I know ) -

I was speaking in general, that there are numerous ways that last night could have played out. I really doubt that there was an upper as well since the kills were of a different flavor, so to speak. And that there were only 2 of them, meaning there was a block or a downer, or someone didn't get a kill in, which is unlikely. -

Well, I guess I'm guilty of metagaming him, because he seems to me to be playing the same game as he has in the past when he was town. That's all I have to go on with Hinckley now because I have had zero contact with him. It's a gut feel, nothing more than that. To my knowledge, we have no connection outside of having similar role names, so connecting us as co-conspirators makes you just like the guys on Day 1 where members were in a frenzy wondering if the "serial killer" was the actual serial killer, and so on and so forth. -

This is close, but not quite right. She brought up Hinckley to me as someone that she did not trust since he had called her out in thread. I simply told her I thought that was his game and said that I believed him to be town, that is it. I have not been in any sort of contact with Hinckley, we are only linked by our character names, which honestly, we have talked about ad nauseum that we shouldn't look too much into. Hinckley and I have played along with the roles in thread, but that is it. -

That's the point, only the killers know who did what. The pills will make figuring out what happened a pain in the butt. The Serial killer could have been blocked, but Vig could have received an "upper", and made 2 kills, or conversely, the Scum's killer could have had 2 kills. There are several scenarios that could all play out and be perfectly logical at this point. -

I re-read Day 1 this morning and had some thoughts, and then def got killed, basically ruining what I was going to say about him, and would have been wrong anyway. I had never been in this situation with him before, but he definitely seemed to be turning over a new leaf, one that either the town or scum killer did not like. My lover(hinckley) didn't really trust him, but I also feel that she's town. I would like to see more from the Virgin(clanure) and the Stump(Adam) today. I know that I will be more active today as it appears it's going to be necessary now. We know the numbers of the teams, so it's 13-6 right now. It won't take many nights for this to get close fast, so we better start trusting and working together or this will be a fast game. I might have missed it Day 1, but I noticed the Doctor(PirateDave) come to the defense of the BONAD post #52 (just as others did to other players) and didn't get called out for it. It doesn't say scum to me, but the others got beat around for it, so it should be on the radar. Fake voting made my head hurt, I understand the purpose, but it was awfully cumbersome to go through real votes and fake votes, and the inability for anybody to get the tallies correct only made it harder. We should for sure check out the voting for who put the nail in the coffin for the Serial killer, as it is pretty much one of the few leads we have so far. Ok, done rambling, anything else stick out to anybody from going back through Day 1? I don't have much history with pills, but I guess that could make figuring out who killed whom harder, would it not? With all the uppers and downers and whatnot? -
Since I don't want a no-lynch today, and nobody else seems to be worrying about the Stump, I will: Unvote: The Tree Stump (Adam) Vote: The Cultist (Fred Daniel Yam)
-
It seems we haven't gotten too far with any voting so far, and I just wanted to point out that it seems if there is no majority, one of us is dead anyway. Might as well be someone that is at least ASSUMED scum as opposed to a random, which as of now, is better odds to be a townie than not, and with the amount of roles out there, even a decent chance of a power role to get killed. I have no problem changing my vote if need be, as there are a few that seem to have come up suspicious so far today.
-
I got back last night and wanted to add my opinions, but had been drinking and didn't want to sound stupid. I also totally hooked up with my lover again, that painted on headgear isn't all that bad and she loves it when I'm fall over drunk. Anyway, all the fake voting and real voting is making my head hurt, even with the updates on voting I couldn't keep it all straight. Lots of accusations and defenses, all the while, I think there are some that are really lurking in the shadows laughing at this. It's been said over and over that it is all we can go on today, but don't forget about those that have shown up once and ran into the corner to play on their baseplate. It's the reason I voted for the Stump. Although the Werewolf does do the same thing, def might me onto something.
-
I have little to go on, but we do seem to have a handful of of players that are a bit off, shall we say. Having said that, I will vote for the ultimate non-contributor. Vote: The Tree Stump ( Adam )
-
To add: Thanks to NPC for checking in while I was typing. I had forgotten about the Tree Stump, is this guy even in the room?
