Ragnarök Now Redux - Nights (Players Only)
LegoDad replied to MagPiesRUs's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
Rurik- It's pretty obvious that I'm talking about Naemr in that last part from yesterday, not Wilhalm. Why would you think I was talking about Wilhalm? -

Lots of points to cover here, but here goes. Rurik calls me out wondering where I am. I answer but don't have anything to add to the conversation at the time. Wary was someone I was wanting to question, when he brought up the voting analysis, I was happy to question it since his voting Day 1 was suspicious. He answered questions I had and was very active Day 2, I'm not too worried about him anymore. And by weak accusation, you mean like what this series of questions are? If you think Wilhalm was an easier lynch at the times I voted for him, you are out of your ghord. Sigrid was probably a guaranteed lynch Day 1 if Petr doesn't go crazy. I'm not defensive about my voting, merely acknowledging that I fall into the group that voted Petr in the end. You're assuming too much again with watching/tracking. I've never claimed any actions. Why do you keep bringing this up? Still fishing for info? Scum bussing happens all the time, you surely know that. It's possible that Naemr is a goon and the scum team decided to bus him and look innocent instead of getting blood on their hands by not voting for him or going after him. My arguement with Snotra is not made up. I messaged him, and he immediately brings it out in the open. Then pushing the Vig to go ahead and kill me. WTF is that? I'm pretty sure he's town, but his actions annoy the hell out of me. -

While I unvoted for Wilhalm, I'm still not completely sold on the claim, but would hate to get rid of him without somebody being being able to check him out first. Problem is, with his claim and his insistence to have the investigator check him out, he's probably going to have a lot of sets of eyes on him tonight, from both sides, and I think the Loki want this. This gives Town 2 options, not watch him and take his word for his claim, or watch and risk getting picked off by the Scum because they're watching him, too. Naemr's idea about the last Ragnarok and new Vikings being possible scum is pretty out there, but his defenses and and basically refusing to talk about it anymore seems like giving up. Not really town telling. Vote: Naemr ( Captain Nemo) Wary was on my list at the beginning of the day, but has since pretty much calmed my fears about him as he's been one of the more helpful and talkative today as opposed to yesterday. Petryk also bothers me a bit when he seemed to be fishing for some info by asking me how I was going to get information from Wilhalm when it's pretty obvious how that would be taken care of at night. It still seems to me that a lot of voting is waiting until the bitter end like yesterday. I find that odd, but maybe that's the cast of characters we have here in Valhalla. -
Not making Hufflepuff and Ravenclaw student torsos for Harry Potter. Hogwarts just doesn't look the same with only 2 houses represented. I also agree with the IJ comments, way to much source material and figures were missed by ending that line when it did.

Dol Guldur Battle. Used coupons and gift card to get it over half off. Probably build tonight, though it might have to thaw out since it's been in my truck the last 18 hours and it's 0 degrees here right now.

Since I think at the very least, we should confirm Wilhalm's claim: Unvote: Wilhalm(Whitefang) -

You are right, Helga does agree with Kolgrima about the fact that it was odd for Dufa to make his bold claim, but knew the background to it that some of us don't, That Dufa is a braggart. Problem is, Helga isn't defending Dufa in that post you are talking about. He's saying that he's also irked by the statement and that Dufa is someone we should watch, which I agree. -

In post #47, Day 1, Kolgrima calls out Dufa for his Vallhallest of Valhalla comments and didn't like it. You came in and defended Dufa for saying that is what he always does and to think nothing of it. Which is fine and dandy that that is his thing, to stroke his own ego, but let him say it, I don't think he needed you to do it. -

I don't think anybody's lynch would be overly informative if they turn up town. To me, if Wilhalm is Scum, so is Naemr due to his backing him up Day 1. Some others don't like this theory, I'm ok with that. Same holds true with Wary and Dufa. It's a pet peeve of mine and actually seems to hold up in past games of life where I've noticed it. Even in ones that I've only been watching from afar. You sure as shit suggested something, don't try to say you didn't and backtrack. You said you'd kill me if you were the vig. Sending an open invitation to the vig if you're not him. Dumb. -

While I don't disagree with the votes for Sigrid, I think there is a better chance of catching scum than her. I'm going to go back to my original Day 1 vote since it seems that at least somebody agrees with me at this point. Wilhalm's additions today still haven't really brought anything to the table and I'm still suspicious from yesterday. Vote: Wilhalm (Whitefang) On that note, and thank you Snotra for airing all of my laundry everywhere for having the slightest inkling that I might be scum, I obviously don't trust Wary, either. He posted about 5 times yesterday. Twice to vote, neither I was totally left at ease about due to the timing of them and who was voted for. Also, (in post 47) going out of his way to defend Dufa didn't sit well with me either. If we do end up voting for Sigrid, and she turns up scum, I do think that there will be a lot to be gained from it. If she's Town, I fear it would pretty much be a waste, since her main vote opponent Day 1 would have also been Town and scum could easily have hid within the votes for both of them. Also, she really hasn't had any comments at all to discern anything from, which is why we keep talking about her. -

No, he knows he's safe because he didn't say anything yesterday for there to have been a slip up. -

Fair enough, but i still contend that Sigrid was the "easy" lynch. She hadn't done squat and by not dropping the act made her quite suspicious. Her refusal to defend herself against countless accusations also didn't help her cause. In my mind, I considered her an unhelpful town, but I don't speak for the others in the group. I like my vote right where it was, with Wilhalm. I don't like what he did early on, but it was obvious that a vote for him wasn't going to mean shit. If the act continues today, I will really consider voting for her because a Loki verdict I think would tell us a lot about yesterday's vote, even if it would implicate someone as myself since I changed my vote at the end. Of course, many of the group did. -

Wary, I appreciate your little analysis here, but I in no way was confused by Wilhalm's play style. I voted for him because for what I saw, was him backing up one of his buddies(Naemr) for no reason early in Day 1. Also to say that I made a quick unvote is ridiculous, as I was one of the early ones to vote overall and only made a change at the end when it was obvious that we were down to two potential candidates for a lynch. Between them, Petr and Sigrid, I felt, and many others felt, that Petr was the better lynch of the 2. I am more interested in your voting habits as the first vote gave Mist a 5th vote, which at the time was getting that bandwagon a nice head of steam. Then, in your un-vote/vote, tied it all up with Sigrid and Petr late in the game, something we've agreed a Loki would like to have in the endgame for the day. -

I'm here. Just haven't had anything worthwhile to say. Would you prefer I come in with the obligatory "Oh crap, can't believe Petr was Town! Oh man, that sucks we're down 5 Townies" just to look like I'm helpful? -

When I say "you seem to be working with the town" instead of saying "you seem to be working with us". I never gave it much thought to make sure that I said "us" instead of a vague "town". I know my allegiance, so I don't necessarily feel the need to tell everybody I'm town in every post. To me, if you're trying that hard to look town, you have something to hide. -

I agree with you 100% on how I phrase things. It's gotten me in trouble many times, but when you are truly town and getting bombarded for something you said that doesn't come out exactly right it gets frustrating. -

I know you guys want me dead, but you're really grasping at straws here. I didn't get Dufa's stupid inside joke and now I'm scum, obviously. Great detective work. I'm as townie as the next guy, but seem to have drawn the ire of most here. Saying that Dufa "seems to be working with the town" means exactly that, because I don't know that he's town, but appears to me as such. -

Seemed like an action that could be given to a Goon. Conversely, it appears it could be given to a Vanilla as well. I'd never heard of it until I looked it up. Why are you continuously telling us just how amazingly town you are? First, you were the Valhallest of Valhalla, or some crap like that. Now, the Towniest of Town. While you do seem to be working with the town, I don't see the reason to try to convince everybody of it. Dynamite drop-in Monty. -

The way I read it, it didn't matter if your team (town or scum) wanted you to use it. If you are a Vengeful role, you kill after being lynched. -

Well that was unexpected. I haven't been around any vengeful spirits before, but to me it seems this would normally be a scum ability. Am I wrong to assume this? Most comments seem to be as mystified as I am right now, though. After doing some research, it appears this is normally a town role. -

I was referring to Wilhalm in Petr's post above. He was saying Wilhalm was "odd" for his style of play, I found it odd that he(Wilhalm) backed up a post from another player(Naemr). I'm sorry for any misunderstandings by using the word "weird" instead of the original "odd". They mean the same thing. To the second question, yes, at this point, I think at this point that their scum buddie-ness is a distinct possibility. I've sure been wrong before, though, but it's as much a possibility as anything else that has been thrown out there at this point. To answer the "Why would Wilhalm feel the need to back him up at that point?" That's the damn point I'm trying to make with you! Exactly, why would you do that? To back up your buddy. "Backing up" is probably a better word than "defend", you are right with that. I agree that there was no need at that point, maybe they realized it was stupid to say and wanted to get out in front of it before it was made a big deal. Looks like it worked. While I personally won't forget Wilhalm, it seems to be a wasted vote at this time, as Dufa would say. Since Sigrid and Petr are getting the most attention, I will focus on them. Sigrid has posted little, and in a weird, 3rd person format for some reason. Has really been no help today. Petr tried to get noticed by telling everyone that he hadn't participated, and felt left out by not getting called out. Then tried to explain it away as a way to get scum to fall for the trap. When I was in school, someone tried one of these "traps", and they ended up being scum. Explained it away almost the exact same way, as well. I think I would rather vote for someone I feel has a decent chance at being scum than someone that is probably just an unhelpful vanilla. Unvote: Wilhalm Bloodaxe (Whitefang) Vote: Petr Half-Troll (Piratedave84) -

You claim Wilhalm, the person I voted to lynch, is the highest on your list of scum, and then vote to lynch me? This makes no damn sense. Also, talking semantics with Rurik is hardly floundering. I have backed up any question posed my way, not sure how that makes me scum. -
Ragnarök Now Redux - Day One
LegoDad replied to MagPiesRUs's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
After looking back at it, yes, I obviously do have a bad short term memory . He was stating they were acting weird, my issue with Wilhalm was more definitive with his "defense". I could also call it someone backing up his buddy as much as a defense. Does that sound better? I brought up reasons for a few people in that post, Chlodochar just happened to be the last one as his post was the most recent. Looking back, I definitely gave the best case to vote for Naemr, but since one was a defense"r" and one a defense"e", they are pretty much on an even keel with me right now. I will give you that I have a hard time getting some things across since I don't get into these games of life very often, and for that, I'm sure I come up on scum-dar often, but had I made it a point to hide in the votes, I wouldn't have mentioned my motives. Would you rather I just put in a vote for the current vote getter? Then I'm bandwagoning. I've mentioned more than once that I had no problem with voting for any of the 4 that I brought up points against. I will vote for what helps Town the best, and piling on Mist at this point doesn't do a whole lot at this point. I'm not hiding anything and have no reason to. -

I don't remember saying I had different reasons than Petr anywhere. I showed you what I found odd about him, not what someone else found odd. I call what Wilhalm did defending, you call it replying, we're arguing semantics at this point. I obviously found it more troubling than you did. No biggie. Joining the bandwagon IS something a Servant would do. I never said I didn't want to vote for her and made it clear I was open to changing votes if need be. To answer your question, yes, I do find Wilhalm more odd than Chlodochar as Chlodochar hasn't done much other than vote. Had it not been pointed out, I might not have taken note of it. I called out several people. I can't vote for them all today. I made it plainly clear I was open to voting for anybody on my list but avoided voting for Mist(at this time) because I knew I'd be called out for bandwagoning. It appears I can't win either way. What I find really odd is that we both seem to have the exact same people on our radar, yet somehow you don't agree with how I'm doing it as opposed to how you are. I answered your question about me and Chlodochar above. He's not the highest on my list right now, but felt his voting needed mentioning again, but wasn't worthy of my vote right now.
