  1. this is weird. the text underneath the images is dutch. It says: "New, powerfull engine" and the other is "Police boat". it looks like a brochure of a shop, not like a catalog... it's also one page of two... where is the other one? you also don't see "lego" printed on the studs... the old hinges of the canopy: very strange, indeed! the text on the box isn't dutch/french (Belgium) or just Dutch (Netherlands), texts look like french/spanish or so..., so you basically have a Dutch/flemish shop brochure with foreign products in it that , to my knoledge, are not even allowed to be sold in at least Belgium... the helicopter reminds me of the old chopper, as some one else said, i like the ship as well, even tho it looks more like a yaught, not like a police boat... to be honest, i 'm very suspicious about this...
  2. i don't know why lego has put them there, but i would think, in the real world, those would house a sensor package of some kind... i think the pilot should be sitting deeper in his awing... yoda, can you remove the bricks the fig is sitting on?
  3. yoda, can you take a pic of the awing with the guy inside?
  4. well... if you are talking about mods... i would use stickers to apply on the slopes in the cockpit, to add just a little bit more computer stuff to it. but then, i guess you know already, i like detailed cockpits... ... for some reason... |-/
  5. thanks for the pics, master yoda! can you take a pic of the underside of the ship? you're right, the cockpit isn't much, but the ship has some beautiful lines... Still, 25
  6. well i guess you'd be able to use the balloon (7415) also... if I'm not mistaken, the army used these kinds of balloons for recon missions in the Civil War...
  7. the town would look even better if you could add baseplates...
  8. Count Sneffy, you wish to join forces with the Inquisition and the British? Which country/affiliation do you represent? oh... well... belgians have always been mercenaries... we've fought in Waterloo with and against Napoleon... So i'll join you with lots of pirates, unknown soldiers, criminals, ... they don't particularly have a country, but give them some money and i'll keep them on your side...; well, as long as these french forum invaders keep showing up, anyway.... :P
  9. a very nice western town! :oD i'm split on the train as well... it also reminds me of the old trains, but i'm not too fond of the locomotive. as a set it's nice, but it's not really a Western locomotive...
  10. it seems the french have taken over this forum! let's join forces and kick them out!!
  11. pretty nice, even tho i think many sw collectors have similar collections...
  12. in any case, it would be great if you got review them for us, the poor legofans who may not get to see them before year's end...
  13. i wouldn't worry about bricklink shutting down, they would probably just move to a server some place else. we've had criminals on Ebay as well, but ebay has never been shut down because of that... so you still haven't receiced your stuff... Did danish post tell you they lost it or did they actually confiscate the lego on behalf of the US?
  14. hm... you're assuming that mankind evolved in one specific place in Africa and then just spread all across the world, eventually ending up in South America. ... that used to be a dominating theory, however, many scientists believe mankind evolved in pretty much the same way, at the same time, but in different places of the planet. so it is possible that indians moved from south to Central america to north america for whatever reason. Wars between tribes in the south-central area would be one of them. i'm not a specialist of indian cultures, but i think many indian tribes in the southern part of the US, like Texas, New Mexico,... are closer related to the tribes in south and central America than to the cultures of the north... anyway, i think it's rather difficult to print these small differences on a minifig head...
  15. what strikes me is the amount of money involved... even if it's just 200000$. i don't think i'd be able to find enough sw sets to come even close. In the end, he still must have paid 100000$ for the lego in just a few years time...
  16. welcome to EB you might want to change your avatar, tho, if you don't want any trouble, unless you're allowed by lego to use their logo...
  17. well i don't really see the problem in any lack of diversity of torsos or heads... you can easily buy all the parts you want at bricklink and turn them into individual soldiers or people...
  18. i think these figs are amongst the best Lego ever produced, you forgot the indians, tho...
  19. i don't wanna get you guys pissed off at me, but... i know at least four different shops with old lego ... 1 shop used to sell all space subthemes, aquathemes,... until 4 years ago... the oldest set i could find were Futuron sets (6884-1; 6953-1; 6925-1; 6932-1). i should have kept them in the box instead of opening them. they're all worth quite a lot of money... Needless to say, coming out of my dark age, i bought everything i could possibly find, often twice or more, like this red technic XXL car (8865-1). the only thing i didn't buy was the large UFO-set... timecruiser's all over the place... picked up a set of that last week (6495), paid 11.95
  20. 600.000$ worth of lego? :o
  21. don't think so, pirate! you may want to reread the first page of this thread...
  22. i never tried it, but that should work... you only change the context a bit...
