The Dragoon's Dragon breathed upon the floor, creating a sheet of ice beneath the enemies' feet that promptly erupted into shards of sharp shattering ice splinters, the chilly cuts pre-emptively awakening them. The Chi Monk got close, causing some damage but also allowing his opponent to shake off his stunned state. The Druid continued concerning herself with finding foliage, ensuring that even if the party's defense had faltered, the Warden would not have fallen. The second Skirmisher stares around wildly, searching for the weapon he had been unable to retrieve, but is still slightly stunned; as the second Skirmisher shakes off his stun, his junior officer similarly does the same. Four enemies remain, only one of whom has not shaken off his Stun. THE BATTLE CONTINUES! Heroica RPG - Unlimited Quest: Fields of Glory

FM Note: I'm officially designating Darksten as party second-in-command; if no Battle Order has been posted for 24 hours, Comrade Commander may post one. -
Heroica RPG - Decamon Tournament: Vermilion Cup
Flipz replied to Sandy's topic in The Heroica Archive
"Indeed it has. Though the struggle may be eternal, I can only hope that, here, at least, Light will win in the end." Arthur grins playfully at his stupid pun, as he lays down his Cave Troll (Rock 6) against Byblos' Brain-in-a-jar, before trusting to fate with his Pegasus (Light 8) as his final card. -
Brilliant! Also, possibly no updates today for my Quests. Welp, looks like I was wrong. That being said, my schedule is a little shaky from now until Christmas; there's a good possibility I'll have to leave the house all day for a day or two in a row on short notice, and while I should be able to sneak in a Decamon play or a Battle Order on mobile, Rounds are just too complex for a tiny screen and keyboard. I'll try and get word out early in the day if that happens, though, and possibly try and find someone to run the Rounds in my stead.

I think Docken now has second place for the highest HP total in the game? (I'm pretty sure he holds the record for non-buffed HP, but I think Atramor beat him with an Aura combined with Inspired in 75.)

OOC: Are we sure there's no "ninja" Decamon card? Seeing that both automatons had become nearly impossible to kill, Arthur seriously considers fleeing, before deciding instead to try a different tactic. He palms a bottle, one he'd been saving for quite some time, and pours it out upon the ninja. Jinxy Juice vs. White Ninja, Back Row. "Atramor, mind using your Nostrum on Skrall? We absolutely cannot have that ninja summoning snakes." Battle Order: Arthur Atramor Skrall Arthur hears a familiar demonic voice reverberating in his head as Atramor's Aura activates. Arthur groans. "Shut up Mephisto! I am not dealing with you right now!"

Note to self: when a player's roll says "at the cost of one Ether", that means at the cost of one (1) Ether, not at the cost of 10 Ether, not at the cost of one health, not at the cost of gaining 1 Ether. In other news, 34-1 may be a lot of things, but it is NOT 35. No, no, I'm completely awake right now while running Rounds, why ever do you ask? He had one of his own made in 116. Speaking of Boomingham's, I thought I gave it back to you after 77? Or did I forget? (I know I got it back from the NPC because I specifically remembered asking for those items we lent the NPCs back, and Doc had it in my stats at the end of 77.)

Arthur looks at the ninja with concern. "You know, Skrall, I really think we need that ninja to be guaranteed to go down. Mind using your minimizing dust on it?" OOC: I feel less bad about leaving the first two behind now.

Actually not planning on it. I want the book out there so someone can try the class, but I myself don't have the build for it anymore. About the only other class I could conceivably transition to would be Winged Warrior, or maybe Regulator if I was stark raving mad (my weapon build is completely wrong for it).

Arthur closes his eyes, then snaps them open, a brief flash of light emanating from them. "No." "I've let fear and paranoia stop me from saving two lives, then necessity stopped me from saving two more. Not this time...this time we fight!" So saying, Arthur stabs his Spider Leg Spear at the Offensive Automaton from the Front Row. "Sun Qui, got any helpful weather you can conjure up?" Arthur plays his Unicorn (Luminous 5), before following up with his Arachnophobia (Dark 7). "It is rather addictive, isn't it? At first I was wondering what Emperor Emeraldo was up to running a card game, but I think now I have an idea of his angle." -
Heroica RPG - Quest #118: The Tale of the Stolen Spirits
Flipz replied to Flipz's topic in The Heroica Archive
QM Note: I strikethrough throwing weapons when they're thrown, to help indicate they need to be retrieved; doing so for the enemies (while also striking through their *Back Row* tags) is my way of indicating they've thrown their weapons. In this case, all of the enemies are currently on the Front Row except for Skirmisher A, so Skirmisher A is not encouraging any other enemies, nor is he being encouraged by any. The Pumpkin Bomb will Stun Golem Huxley, preventing him from using his Feather of Flight to flee; he will use it next Round when the Stun wears off, however.- 506 replies

Or he could buy the boots from Hybros and get Steal & Hide instead. Good point on Barbarian, though. RE:118--I spent most of yesterday and today re-balancing this fight and the next one, so hopefully this time it'll be a better balance than the last two fights.

FM Note: Once again, thanks to Scubacarrot for this scene! Recognizing the urgency of the situation, the party pressed onward, the sound of sword-on-sword growing greatly as they progressed. Suddenly, screams of pain sounded, followed by the sound of metal crashing to the floor. Running forward, the party bore witness to a gruesome sight. The Helm of Prestige is the best out of what's remaining. Say, can anyone tell me who the South Tower belongs to? And where in the city is Tritech headquarters? (Or did I just answer my own question? )

Arthur sets his jaw. "There's nothing we can even do here," he says sadly, knowing his weapons would be useless against the vipers, "and we can't risk anyone getting Knocked Out, not with Skrall holding all of the incenses. We have to move on." <What are we doing? Why are we not protecting them?> Because our employer is telling us to. Because I trust her to be working to protect the greater good. Even though that trust may be misplaced. <But why? I don't understand?> I'm not sure I do, either. Atramor was right, we should have saved those other two. Now we don't even have a chance to save these ones. Arthur's gaze grows steely. The next ones...I made the wrong choice for the last pair. I'm not making it again.
