  1. "We'll have to abandon our post if Scout A lives through the next Round...I say we try and take out the Mounted Scout, though, since Spag is here to protect us and we have a shot of killing, or at least injuring, the Scout before he gets up here...
  2. Arthur throws a glance at William, to see if he will target anyone.
  3. Welcome to Eurobricks! When you do build with LEGO, what kind of models do you tend to create? Historic stuff (like medieval castles, oriental dojos, and ancient Egyptian/South American ruins), sci-fi stuff (Star Wars/Trek, classic Space, and the like), or classic City-type builds? Also, do you tend to build mostly sets, or do you MOC alot? I'm Flipz, by the way. Since I'm asking you all these questions, it's only fair I tell you what my answers would be. I mostly build sets these days since MOCing takes a lot of space I don't have and most of my brick is in storage (and because I am loathe to take apart ANYTHING without a REALLY good reason), but since I got involved in the Heroica RPG here I'm leaning towards MOCing again. Most of my life I've focused on sci-fi action themes like Alpha Team and Star Wars, but lately I've gotten the urge to build more historical, medieval stuff. Anyway, welcome aboard, and I hope to see you around!
  4. Hey, there, Welcome to Eurobricks! Since you like historic themes, you'll want to check out the Heroica RPG. It may not be historically accurate (like, at all ), but it's a lot of fun, and both in the Quests you partake in and the Quests you watch other Heroes follow, you'll see a lot of brilliant builds with magnificent stories behind them--stories that you can help create! Once again, welcome to Eurobricks, and I hope to see you around! --Flipz
  5. OOC: Where is it? in front of which wall?
  6. "HELP! Someone zap this guy, and we'll join you next Round!" Arthur grabs one of the larger stones and targets the mounted Scout.
  7. this is off-topic, but...*ahem*. minifigures.lego.com/en-us/Bios/Robot.aspx OK, NOW we can go back on-topic.
  8. OOC: Psst...everyone's sent in an action (Arasmyth and William are doing nothing, and Isabella's targeting the catapult with me).
  9. Oh, OK, I get it. I was envisioning more of a "parting of the Red Sea" type of thing. Quick, how fast can we get to Alexis? Wait, we've got three Mages--Teleport!
  10. What store was this???
  11. Well, to all who wanted to rebuild this set without the pink features: LEGO has beat you to it. I just saw a Friends advertisement, and the other houses in the town they had set up appeared to be Olivia's House with the pink replaced by red and/or black, and with different windows to match. I'll try and find the commercial online and grab some stills. EDIT: Looking at it again, one of those houses is actually a new build, not a mod of Olivia's house. But the other one...I still can't get a clear enough look to tell.
  12. Even better, since Doc has already said such a strategy would work. I do have to wonder how long it will take for the water to fill the river once again. Five Rounds, perhaps?
  13. "Erm...I don't think you have initiative, unless Althior puts you at the front of the Party Order. Besides, you only get the +1 feint and counter-strike if the Elf makes the first move, and since we have the high ground..." EDIT: OOC: Put in quotes. D'oh! Also, can we assume same battle order this round?
  14. The gate to the junkyard and the house, along with the car and perhaps a small Fangpyre vehicle? I sort of see this as similar to the Gate Defense Exo-Force set, in terms of size and figure count. And, I see it as a way to "redeem" the VIP sets in the eyes of those who are disappointed with the VIP CMF set. I'm not certain how well the set would do on general store shelves, but for existing fans of Lego, existing fans of Ninjago, and AFOLs looking for parts (getting another shot at Filch's leg piece? Yes please!), it would do very well, I think. Anyway, from my own experience putting a "limited edition" or "exclusive" marker on a set tends to boost sales quite a bit, as it makes folks want to purchase the LE sets before the others in the line. The "VIP Exclusive" aspect would do the same thing, I'd wager.
  15. This must become a brickfilm. Now.
  16. Arthur growls; why is it that he and Isabella can only hit with their weakest ammunition? Calling out as loudly as he can, he yells to Xander, "Xander! The archer can't use a grappling hook on a Free Hit! Everyone target the other Elves, we'll deal with him later." Arthur yells to Spag as he passes, "Spag, grab a torch from the wall to burn that rope!" Seeing that the others were waiting for him, he again loads the catapult with small stones and works with Isabella to change their target to the Scout B.
  17. Does anyone else think that Jay's Parents and some of the generic townsfolk should be released in a VIP set?
  18. I love it! Like I said before, Ninjago should keep crossing over into other themes, having 1 or 2 waves as it enters each. Off the top of my head, I can see excellent opportunities for interaction with Western, Pirates, Castle, and Space, with an Egypt-based theme as another possibility (so long as it isn't right before or after a Western line, that'd be too much sand at once! ). Not only would it be a cool continuation of the story, but given Ninjago's popularity the theme could serve as a sort of "gateway" into other Lego themes that kids might otherwise not play with.
  19. Anyone else think this should be Def's new...blurb...title...thing under his avatar...what the heck is that called, anyway?! Great ending, though, Pandora!
  20. It's very interesting to watch one of these Mafia games live, instead of reading skimming through the archives. It's a bit easier to see where the tension comes from, what with waiting for other peoples' responses and stuff while they're not online. It's also quite difficult to keep up with the vote tally, I think if I were playing I'd have to keep a spreadsheet tally, not only of everyone's votes/unvotes (and any patterns contained therein), but also of the host's vote tallys, to try and find any voteless or double voters. Ironically, what with all the crazy amount of strategizing and such, I think it would be easier to run a Mafia game than to play one. Although I do have a theme idea that practically makes its own role system... It'll be interesting to watch a mystery in-progress as well, I tried to read the archives of Red Moon, but I just couldn't grasp what was going on. (It also didn't help that, since it ended in hiatus instead of conclusion, no one's roles and abilities were revealed, leaving little frame of reference.) Hopefully an in-progress game will shed some light on how mystery games work.
  21. So, any scum/serial killers/vigilante/whatever who want to play your mystery game should pick you for night one?
  22. This DOES sound interesting...what kind of asthetics are you looking for? Is there a particular "theme" to this town, or is it like the Lego city every kid builds at some point in their life (all the different themes mixed together)? Also, if anyone from this project is looking for help designing missions and characters for the RPG side of things, I'm your guy. (Though to be fair, I'm sure plenty of people in the RPG forum here on EB would also be interested in helpin on that side of things...)
  23. To those who have been following this project more closely, does anyone know of any "cover" titles this production has been working under? As I said earlier, I am very much interested in trying to get cast, as I'd love to be involved in a art of Star Wars history. Especially considering the time period (post-Clone Wars, pre-Rebellion) it's set in...
  24. ...... This just made my day.
