That's 'cause you forgot about how the Phoenix Smoke works. :P Speaking of which, I REALLY want to see that sort of Phoenix Smoke-fueled battle more in the future...after Atrhur is Level 15 and can handle it. Hmm...evil idea for QMs (highlight to read)...ENEMIES using Phoenix Smoke somehow...

Thanks, Pie. Well, looks like one more piece I'll have to BrickLink--there's no way I can afford that set AND the other stuff I'm wanting...
-
I only remember it coming in orange there and in black in a couple of other sets...Sandy do you mod your pieces? Also, this should be the new standard of unicorns in Heroica: http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=65022&st=0

That's kind of a scary thought...scary because it's kinda true.

What??? What is WRONG with these people?!?!?! No, seriously, what is their problem?

using the Toy Story army men bases as a lilly pad was the first thing I thought of when I saw one in person, I'm glad I wasn't the only one! Also, where did you get that lovely green tentacle??

Heroica RPG - Quest #17: The Lion's Share

Arthur swears loudly at this unexpected turn of events, and quickly reloads the catapult, firing another Large Stone at the battering ram. OOC: You said the ram floated across because it was light, and that the weight for it to cause damage would come from it being filled with dirt from our side of the river. Wouldn't that mean the ram will have to spend this turn being loaded with dirt before it can attack? -
You know, I would REALLY love a "space station"-based theme, where all the sets are "modules" of the space station that could be attached to each other or a central "hub" unit. Since there always has to be a "bad guy" (sigh) perhaps there would be two separate, warring factions, each with their own "hub" and modules (though they would all be compatible with each other for maximum playability).

That is GORGEOUS! Oh, I'm so jealous... Hmm, I wonder...do you think you'll ever take a stab at a centaur with a similar build? Or better yet, an undead unicorn? Yes, Sandy, that last was for you.

Hey, LDD is allowed, right? I'll give this a go!

I haven't played the most recent additions to the TT LEGO games, but I wonder--is this perhaps a shout-out to them? I seem to recall a lot of banana jokes in LEGO Indiana Jones 2 and LEGO Harry Potter Years 1-4, so it's definitely their style... EDIT: Oh, and let's not forget Doc from Power Miners appearing in the Atlantis theme last year...

That actually sounds like something that would be good for the site in general (not just for mobile devices). It doesn't happen often, but occasionally if there is a large picture in a post and/or if there is a broken picture link in the thread, my fail computer will think it's super big and make me scroll horizontally. The automatic resizing of overlarge pictures would be nice as well (preferably accompanied by some sort of PM to the user reminding them to resize to stay within the rules--let's save the mods and admins some work while we're at it! ). I've seen some forums use auto-resize software, so I know it's out there, I just have no clue if it would be useful to Eurobricks or not. Just my two cents.

Wow, that Catwoman torso is a HUGE improvement from the nearly-shapeless old thing she had in the first Batman sets! Between the sweet new pieces and the awesome minifigs...well, looks like this is going to be an expensive year...
-
I pre-ordered the Naboo Starfighter mini-model at the LEGO store last month...does that count? Oh, wait, I grabbed last year's SW Advent Calendar at 50% discount from Wal-Mart. I still wish it were Brickdoctor's version, though!

"That would be the one in the group with the ram, right? We want to target all enemies except for the Scout." -
I don't think I've officially said hi in Heroica yet, so...hi!

"Got it!" Arthur and Isabella use the Catapult to attack the Battering Ram with a Large Stone. -
Has that Nuremburg toy fair started yet? Anyone have good pics of the summer sets? I must know just how badly my wallet will be hurting this summer...I already want the boat, and if I end up having to get these... :P

"Althior! Shall we attack just the battering ram with a Large Stone or the archer in the larger group (Archer A?) with small stones?" "ALSO! Everyone, do NOT attack the Elven Scout until the Battering Ram is destroyed! We can take his Free Hits, and that way his special will be relatively useless!" -
Depending on whether Arthur meets Alisha or Cinna first...challenge accepted. EDIT And to anyone who wants to rehash the whole "Arthur's a playa" thing...allow me to find and link you to TV Tropes. BRB with the link. EDIT 2: OK, Links. http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/LoverTugOfWar http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/UnwantedHarem

Heroica RPG - Quest #17: The Lion's Share
Flipz replied to Brickdoctor's topic in The Heroica Archive
Arthur runs down to Arasmyth, pulls the smelling salts from his belt, puts them in his hand, and helpfully removes the lid. He knows better than to try and force-feed the salts to the mage, so instead he returns to the catapult and tries to mind-trick Arasmyth into drinking the smelling salts before the battle begins. -
...yes. Quest 16's infamous ant battle is another good example, though. EDIT: This brings up another question. In terms of fight difficulty, the healing of very weak enemies or the revival of downed enemies is roughly equivalent to adding more enemies of an identical type. Which do you prefer, reviving or adding more foes?

If Boomingham is not wearing a cloak, try a couple tiny blobs of clay. If he is, and the cloak isn't too rare of a color (i.e. if it's black or brown or something), maybe you could cut a couple slits in the top of the cloak and slide the blades in there. Also, a question for everyone: what do you feel about battles in which one (or more) enemies can summon more enemies? How would you balance such an encounter? Should an infinite number of enemies be possible, or should there be an upper limit? Should the reinforcements be of the same strength as the original foe(s), or should they only be weaker lackey "meat shields" for the main enemies? Food for thought discussion.

Arthur looks through the telescope once more to be sure no Elves were sneaking up from a different direction than had been spotted earlier.
