  1. OK, so I want to spend $75 at the Lego store this month to get Kendo Jay free. I already know I'll be purchasing Jay ZX and at least two Series 6 Minifigs. My primary interests are in the 2012 Ninjago stuff (trying to collect the ZX characters and the snake staffs, plus I'm interested in the snake mech and rattlecopter as sets), the Star Wars clone battle pack/planet mini-model sets (I'm a sucker for the planet models, Naboo in particular), and the Friends diner, vet, and house, and possibly more CS6 minifigs (I have a priority list for which ones I need and which ones I just want). What should I buy now, and what should I save for later?
  2. Noted. And JediAnakin, I really liked the twists and turns of Quest 4 as well. The Shadeaux need more face time, and not just as end-of-Quest bosses and cameo NPCs, too. Actually, I'd LOVE to see the Shadeaux face off against Wren...but I'll leave that to Zepher. (Hmm, maybe Doc and Zepher should co-host a Quest, that would be epic and awesome.)
  3. I think they're little packages with a prize inside, common at Christmas celebrations in certain parts of Europe. I don't know much else, everything I really know about Christmas crackers comes from the Harry Potter books. I like the idea, though, don't know why they never caught on over here, and considering the way the Lego Advent Calendars go, I don't see why they don't do these in Europe.
  4. If I do not see someone do a MOC of that episode combining both System and Games in a strange and bizzare fashion, I will be sorely disappointed. Actually, if I don't see P&F make it to System, I'll be sorely disappointed...
  5. Heh heh heh, you just gave me an idea for my Quest concept...
  6. You'll definitely like the Heroica RPG we've got going in the Games forum, then. I'm not familiar with FBTB (I've heard the name before but never managed to find my way over there), but you seem like an awesome kind of guy. Welcome to Eurobricks!
  7. OOC: We dug the pit using Althior's Garnet, but we never lined the bottom with spikes like I wanted. We also didn't destroy the bridge, but I really want us to. -==IC: Arthur==- "OK, listen up. Isabella, grab a torch and burn that bridge, it'll limit the enemy's direction of approach. Spag, you take some spikes and line the bottom of that pit, then cover it up with leaves or branches or something. Althior, you go get a bucket of rainwater, bring it up here, and tie it to the catapult arm as a counterweight. I don't think it would be too hard to grab another barrel to set the weight on. Finnegan, if Althior's too busy reenacting Spider-Man 3 being emo, you can do his job. Please take these actions, guys." OOC: No offense, guys...but yeah, I'm hoping to offend you into taking bold action. So, I guess you should take offense if it'll get something done.
  8. Arthur walks around, poking everyone who isn't exhausted.
  9. YOu know what LEGO should really do to end the "controversy" over the placement of the toys? Build a display model with Friends sets mixed in with City sets. (In particular, Olivia's House and/or the diner.) It wouldn't help the other aspects of the "controversy", but it would certainly shut most of us AFOLs up.
  10. With all the firefighter sets City has put out over the years? If all the firefighters showed up at once, the resulting deluge would put a hurricane to shame! Indeed, he is a savant, now I want one.
  11. Because I know people will want it: Jay's mom: Hairpiece: Appears to be this piece in a yet-unmade color. Should be easy to paint, tho. Face: TBD Torso: http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?P=973pb792c01 Legs: http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?P=970c00pb71 Jay's dad: Hairpiece: http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?P=64798 Face: TBD Torso: There are similarities to these three pieces, but the actual torso with oil stains appears to be custom. Legs: Similar to this piece, but again, apparently custom. I'll add additional characters/parts as I find them.
  12. Actually, I like this move. The 16x16 plates allow for the construction of more modular buildings and sets, something that is EXTREMELY useful if you plan to build a set for photographing a series (i.e. a brick comic, a Heroica RPG/mafia/whatever scene, etc.). I'm actually working on a series of modular sci-fi interiors, and the 16x16 plate setup turns out to be perfect for what I need (I've actually simplified the wacky connection system I had in favor of the design from this set). So I, personally, like the move; even if it's not in the right colors for what I need, the new designs provide me with great inspiration.
  13. This may be a bit off-topic, but what minifig parts are those? Also, I really like this set, but I must admit your gumball machine design is better.
  14. I am officially adding my name to the sign-up for this. Consider me pre-registered. They should...or at least Pandora should! Her review not only put this set on my "to buy" list...I want to buy TWO! What? Why are you all looking at me like that?!? Also, in the completed shot, I noticed the pink tiles on top of the swingset line up perfectly with the pink floor of the upper level...nice touch, Lego. I'm not a big fan of that shade of pink (the darker pink is much more palatable, IMO), but the attention to detail is a huge plus in my book. LEGO, take note: size may impress some buyers, but it's the detail that makes a masterpiece. If it weren't for the obnoxious doll-figs, this set would be a 10 in my book.
  15. Arthur grabs his hat again, and whispers to Finnegan, "You think if I made him mad enough, he'd be able to take on all the Elves alone?" EDIT: OOC: tyop
  16. Is it bad that I thought this was about the Old Spice guy when i saw the title? Great modifications, Darkdragon--REALLY like that saddle, and if LEGO were to pick up on your modified Friends lags, it would almost make the mini-dolls bearable...gah, what am I saying?! Again, great work!
  17. OOC: I believe Arasmyth helped me put the stakes along the West wall. And so this isn't an OOC-only post... -==IC: Arthur==- Meanwhile, Arthur has fallen asleep again. "I tried to open a komodo dragon," he mumbles. "You guys owe me some new hands."
  18. Arthur idly wonders who in the party is still not exhausted, and wonders if ANYONE in the party will make up their minds and do something. He quietly thanks the Voice In The Sky that he has prevented the Elves from attacking while most of his fellow quest-mates run around like chickens with their heads cut off. He suddenly remembers Atramor, and hopes that Finnegan didn't overhear that and get any ideas. He decides to say something so there's an actual point to the post to distract Finnegan from that train of thought. "Hey Finnegan, I'm feeling kind of grouchy all of a sudden. Any idea why?"
  19. Welcome to Eurobricks! Anyone with PAB cup skills is a welcome addition in my book! Welcome aboard!
  20. Look into my eyessssssssss... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V1E2S9xicNE&list=UUymfsZeCQ9dfx5Fpa0WsQTg&index=4&feature=plcp#t=8m05s
  21. Seriously? No one recognized the qoute? *suddenly realizes this means I can re-use Ninjago plot points in my Quests and no one will notice* Yay, no one recognized the quote! Oh, and Masked and K-nut, what? Is this a new game feature or an epic roleplaying event? (And please tell me I've somehow tangled up Arthur in it, that would be awesome. )
  22. Now see, if Lego had released something like this with the official announcement of Friends, everyone would have been too busy laughing to get upset. This was the best part of the review for me. And now I must go buy this set...
  23. I for one look forward to the future. If there is more for us to accomplish, let it be! Also, remember the epicness that was Takanuva? I'd say a 7th class would be awesome. (And please make there be a special "Quest for thr 7th Master" to introduce it to the RPG, Sandy!!! )
  24. So, any chance you'll be sending a group of Heroes to a Venice expy in the not-too-distant future? Wow, I'm so sorry, guys. I can't imagine what you must be going through right now. My thoughts are with you both at this difficult time.
  25. Arthur moves next to Althior, then appears to take a nap. Just as Finnegan tries to wake him, he rolls out of the way. He pokes his head up to see what happened to Althior...
