  1. Wait...Anata wa Nihongo o hanashimasu ka? Did you live in Japan like me, or did you just decide to learn it for fun? ...sorry, I'm getting off-topic. Badboytje, is there any chance this could be a Mafia School game? (If not...want some help with translations? )
  2. Hmm...we should try to get all the Original Questers to meet up during this event. Commence PM storm! ...actually, you should do it, you know them better. I'm still too intimidated to talk to WhiteFang for non-official stuff! EDIT: Here's a list of all Test Questers:
  3. If you can afford extra, pick up a couple for me! I'm stuck out in the middle of nowhere because of these blasted Elves.
  4. "Alright, gang, listen up: Again, do NOT target any Scouts until the siege engine is destroyed! Isabella, help me load small stones to use against the Elven Engineer A!" OOC: I'm thinking melee units should attack the Onager, while our ranged units take on the melee units. Of course, Spag should just start the Slice N Dice running and keep it going as long as possible.
  5. Arthur calls out to the remaining Heroes who hadn't yet proclaimed their readiness. "We can take them, guys! C'mon! Yeah! Let's do this!"
  6. That's nothing compared to the six pages of discussion and illustration Byblos put in the Quest Book of that incident in Quest 12...uh, er, I mean...!
  7. ...who gets amnesia and flirts with every female in the Hall? Observe, as the meme takes its first steps toward fulfilling its viral destiny. Soon, it will set forth into the vast reaches of the Internet, where it-*static* Meanwhile, back on-topic... You guys post here too fast! I still haven't gotten a chance to read the latest Quest 18 posts!
  8. This should be your new title. @ Tanma, well that's sort of what I have planned for Arthur when he finds someone (not necessarily Cinna, it depends on who would be willing to RP it), only he's starting from scratch. The whole process would take about three and a half years of story time, which condenses to about a year and a half in-game.
  9. Yeah, loads. Arthur will have plenty more problems to deal with before he can focus on a relationship. Yeah, he's going to try to become a close friend of Cinna, but he won't try ANYTHING for months. Probably not until after Summer Madness...and even then, once he gets over the initial rush (which he has), his style with women is more along the lines of becoming that irreplacable presence in the girl's life, until she literally can't imagine herself being with anyone but him. There really won't be anything to stop, one day everyone will wake up and realize that they're together, and that they've been together for a while, and no one will be able to put a finger on exactly when the relationship changed. Oh, and as an aside for De'kra,
  10. Let's not forget Arthur's crush on Cinna just from reading about her in the Library. It makes one wonder what kind of illustrations Byblos is putting in the Quest books... Although, I doubt De'kra would need to be worried. IF Arthur manages to meet up with Cinna, he'll take things slower this time.
  11. They don't need them, they're But seriously, neither words nor emoticons can express my joy over these Heroes of Legend appearing in the Hall to Quest once more! :cry_happy: Also, Tanma, I had a little trouble parsing that post. Could you maybe explain it to me?
  12. Like I said, quick, reel him in! Say, if Althior picks the Rogue-like option for his Advanced Class, would that make Arthur the Sorcerer's Apprentice?
  13. Fooooog! Quick, someone whip up another Quest, we need to reel him in while we still can!
  14. True, but since they're useless for non-Mages when not bound to a weapon...
  15. Arthur returns from the woods and rushes to his battle position. "Hey, Althior, where are we going to set up the Slice N Dice blockade? And, it'll likely require a Hero to operate...perhaps we can assign Arasmyth to both, he can use the Hiyaaaaaa Hwacha for one opening volley and then switch to the Slice N Dice for the rest of the battle?" OOC: Say, Doc, what are the stats like on this thing? You did read the link I posted about it, right? I'm very interested in how the stats turn out so I can sic it on Heroes later so we can strategize.
  16. Heh, oops, should have been clearer, I meant when Quest 18 officially finishes. Seems like it'd be an ideal time to fix it. That brings up an interesting point: since Mage-classes rely so heavily on gems (which take considerable effort to obtain), it seems like a player who picks a Mage-class for their Advanced Class should be more likely to stick to their initial choice (characters who start out as mages don't count for this phenomenon, obviously). Do you agree? If so, is that a good thing or a bad thing?
  17. It's the big yellow feather. Seriously, though, it's because he's so quiet yet confident. Of the two other Rangers who look most similar, William is very talkative, whereas Benji has an air of eager shyness (IDK why, it's just how he comes off). Elgar has a totally different feel, and talks a lot more anyway, Skrall has his whole "gentleman ogre" epicness going on, Alexis is a girl and a magic-user (speaking of which, her Hall profile needs to be updated soon, it still lists her as just a Ranger), and Olinn is new. All the other Rangers are inactive (including D'Eficcio Delfino from the Test Quest, which is a shame, because I think Def would be EPIC at Heroica.) EDIT: Speaking of Test Quest players...Pandora, Y U no re-addict Rufus to Heroica? But seriously, I'd love it if he were to rejoin the game, I'm sure he has lots of in-character knowledge that the rest of our Heroes would love to hear.
  18. So wait, does the dragon battle come with an extra Jay ZX or is it supposed to be NRG Jay? The box looks like it has NRG Jay, while the set shows Jay ZX. Really, Lego? You make me buy a Spinner Starter pack to get Cole ZX at a semi-"reasonable" price and now you're going to force me to buy another one for NRG Kai? At least the trans-orange snake is kinda cool... Oh, the USR has a big giant wheel at the back! Well, that makes it look MUCH better, IMO. I thought that was just a static part of the body, the treads dragged the USR forward like a podracer!
  19. Also, I think a lot of us (myself included) are too harsh on the QMs. It's hard enough to play a character well and make plans and such in that regard, imagine doing that for dozens of characters, trying to balance battles and other encounters, making sure there isn't too little or too much or too powerful loot, and then factor in Real Life...not to mention how many QMs take on these responsibilities IN ADDITION to the rigors of having a well-defined, well-roleplayed character. QMs, you all deserve a and our respect.
  20. Well, you know Guilds of Historica here? The Phoenix Command Group is sort of like that, only set in the future of Star Trek and slowly absorbing all of LEGO Sci-fi into it. We started out just as a group of Trek builders (and I as a story/ideas guy) who teamed up on the LU Creation Lab. We called ouselves the "Phoenix Battlegroup" then, and just wanted to see Star Trek in LU. Then some other people expressed interest, so we let them join, then they invited their friends, and their friends...we ended up becoming the largest group on the Creation Lab, and our forming a Council was by necessity to try and have some semblence of order. At the same time, some of us joined the "story craze" that had swept the Lab, and that laid the seeds for our storyline... Eventually, by becoming so large we attracted some who wanted to be our "enemies," and that's when the role of the PCG became the sort of "galactic cops" who had the strength to keep the peace and had less bureaucratic restriction than the Federation. We reasoned that, since the Federation seemed to be on the decline in the late TNG-era movies and games and in the materials associated with Star Trek Online (which we include as a sort of "loose" canon, the way Star Wars does with KotOR and TOR), a few incidents convinced them that they needed a peacekeeping force that wasn't bogged down by pacifism. The PCG then became and allied but independent territory that acted as a "buffer" between the Federation and the other galactic powers. Then our own politics with the other user-controlled groups seeped in, and before we knew it we had our own backstory and canon. (I must confess, out of all the Council, I'm the one most dedicated to story, timeline, and the like--it's my specialty. I was the one who calculated exactly how far ahead we needed to be--the PCG timeline syncs with our own calendar, roughly, it's just that the PCG exists in 2508 instead of 2012.) As Star Wars builders and other Space builders crept into the PCG-verse, we sort of absorbed them all (one of the PCG's strongest allies has a fleet of stunning Mars Mission ETX ships), but at heart most of us are still Trekkies, albeit rather unorthodox ones. Of course, now, with LU shut down and the Creation Lab only open for a limited time, we need a new home, and I believe EuroBricks is the perfect place for it. We have a strong RPG community, which works well with our story elements and the RPG I've started up on a couple of smaller forums, and we also have a strong building community that wishes there were more Star Trek LEGO builders out there. Well, we're here, and if you're willing to have us, we'll do all we can to give you all the inspiration you need. Do you think this would catch on here?
  21. I'm waiting for Doc to possibly give Arthur a random encounter in the woods and/or award bonus XP for roleplaying. http://www.darthsanddroids.net/episodes/0134.html
  22. Remind me to PM you closer to Summer, I may have an interesting side-plot involving the appearance of people Arthur knows...
  23. OOC: It's called a Slice N Dice Blockade. Arthur swipes a shield, intending to give it to Althior if he has a chance to before the Elves arrive. Realizing that his...less sanitary measures were not going to be very helpful (though he fully intended to use the ammunition, if for no other reason than to get them out of the fort!), he decides to head into the woods to deal with his...personal issues. "Alexandre, William, keep an eye out. If any wild creatures attack, cover me." OOC: OK, Doc, I know you read Darths & Droids. You know what to do.
  24. Seeing that quite some time had passed, Arthur uses his telescope to look for signs of the Elves or anyone--or anything--else in the forest. He notices that a new reply has appeared in the book, but decides to take time to contemplate before responding. He hisses to Arasmyth, "Psst! Use ropes, belt wheels, and/or gears to extend from the ground to the tower mount, it'll be much easier and we can get to the horse if we need him." <indignant neigh> "Her."
