  1. Reply added. Thanks for reminding me!
  2. Arasmyth drinks his Grand Tonic. Arthur, meanwhile, begins a thorough observation of the catapult, trying to figure out ways to improve it. OOC: I'll figure something out, but if anyone has ideas in this regard, speak up! I'd like the catapult to be our focus this wave. EDIT: IC: Arthur takes a break from his inspection to write back to De'kra's note. It seemed like it had been ages--he hoped De'kra was alright.
  3. A note to those on these Quests: When you get back, stay in the freaking hall. I can't meet you if you run off on another Quest! But seriously, Cinna, Tomas, don't go anywhere. You too, Atramor. And De'kra, get back to the Hall.
  4. OOC: I'll wait until you have the updated stats before I update my sig, I'm bound to mess something up otherwise. "Althior! Shall Arasmyth drink his Grand Tonic now, or should we save it for later? Also, I want to upgrade this catapult, any ideas?"
  5. 1.) Excellent, sig-fig coming soon... 2.) Holy cow that was posted on my birthday it's a sign. This is a lot newer than I thought--I was under the impression that Historica had been around for ages. I feel slightly less intimidated about joining now. 3.) I have a comment about that--it also involves why I was asking in the first place--but it's off-topic enough that I'd rather PM you about it.
  6. *cheers* Hooray! I have a shot at a japan-themed Mafia game after all! Oh, and before I forget, congrats to Foog and Pandora! *adds to hit list*
  7. Yesterday I redeemed my Christmas PAB box, and bought the 853195 Calendar set. I also put together a Build-A-Mini with most of a CS4 Punk Rocker (I swapped the dark gray pants for the CS3 DJ's jeans) and a couple other useful-looking parts.
  8. So has anyone played with the expanded height limit in the latest Minecraft snapshot versions?
  9. I'd love to join, but I've no room to build, and most of my brick is still in boxes... I shall watch with great interest, and steal borrow your detailing techniques when I have better access to my collection! I'd also like to ask a few questions...first and foremost, how did this get started? Did you guys just decide "Hey, here's this epic idea for a massive-scale community build, let's make it happen," or was it more involved than that?
  10. Arthur and Isabella repeat their previous attack. "Note to self: improve catapult before next battle. Shields and Critical Hits do no extra damage with small stones and The damage they cause is just a tad too low to help, especially since these guys keep getting tougher..." EDIT: Oh, and Arasmyth rests. OOC: I'm deliberately not using Arasmyth's Grand Tonic yet unless our Party Leader decides he needs Arasmyth to be fueled up and ready.
  11. Like I said, two different parts in two different styles. A brick built part and a LDD part would work quite well.
  12. Great! There's two main "parts" to the Quest, so having two different building styles would be most helpful! I'll PM both of you.
  13. ...I...I'm not sure how to respond to that, so I'm not even gonna try. In other news, I have an almost finalized Quest plot ready, now I just have to make the enemy stats, prepare the puzzles...oh, yeah, and figure out how the heck I'm gonna build all this. Even using straight up LDD (which I'd prefer not to use for the whole thing unless I had to), the builds are going to take a fair bit of time, it'd go MUCH quicker with help. Any volunteers?
  14. I have a Quest Idea planned, but my access to physical brick and building space is limited, so it'd have to be digital. I'm also ironing out a lot of snarls, as it's more of a puzzle-based Quest than a battle-based Quest. while I'm on the subject, if the Quest doesn't contain any traditional "combat", can QMs award experience for completing other objectives? I.E. in the process of solving Puzzle W, X, Y, and Z, the Heroes manage to gain a level of Experience?
  15. Allow me to introduce you to these three pages.
  16. OOC: Since Kadabra is gone this weekend and he asked me to control his character... Arasmyth relaods the Hiyaaaaaa Hwacha from the back row, just in case it would be needed. OOC: That just leaves Spag to operate the Slice N Dice, correct?
  17. Arthur is seriously ticked off now. He wraps up the letter and attaches it to the commander of the Elven forces attacking them. To the Brobric Elf in charge of the seige against Bric'bay Fort: I know that we are on opposite sides of the battle, but I think you would find the message I have enclosed as distasteful as I do. I have attempted to punish this individual for a similar infraction he committed earlier, but as I am still of a relatively low Level it does not seem to have had the intended effect. I invite you to deal with him however you wish, and lest you simply ignore this letter, I remind you that, should he remain unchecked, it shall only be a matter of time before he realizes he can send insulting messages like these to NPCs your people as well. Use this information as you wish. Regards, -AJR7 "I've got A-mail." *poof* Meanwhile, he addresses a direct reply to Pretzel. Dear Monk, An equivalent return for what you have sent me. Bear it in mind next time you think to address one of those messages to me. -Arthur Justus Regulus VIII Arthur attaches a small bucket of the *ahem* special ammunition for the catapult. "I've got A-mail." *poof*
  18. Well, given Q's attitude, Janeway probably figured there'd be some sort of huge catch or that he's refused. Or, considering how obnoxious and self-confident he is (most of the time), they probably didn't want to give him the satisfaction of saying "we need your help", even if it meant taking all that time to get home.
  19. If there is I call dibbs on a Phoenix Wright Quest.
  20. So, it's been almost a full day since I saw the most recent Ninjago episode, but by some twist of fate, I'm the first to discuss it... Spoilers ahead! I'll probably have more thoughts later, so stay tuned!
  21. Let's see, who do we take with us (since Quests always seem to pick Heroes in multiples of 3; I'm not knocking this, it's dramatically ideal, after all)...some combination of Althior, Alexis, Atramor, and Cronk, I'd imagine. Hmm...save for De'kra, all of these characters utilize Ether...sounds like a formula for another Zeigfried Quest! Perhaps that one about Chesterine Sandy hinted at?
  22. Yes, it would have been the reward for Nur, Skrall, and Haldor, but they turned it down for rep with the Wolfgang instead. And, now I MUST Quest with Cinna, De'kra, and Tomas. The first two have been on Arthur's IC list, De'kra needs to send Arthur a message piquing his interest in Tomas as well. If we can get IC reasons for it, we'll have plenty of material for Hall roleplay while we wait on the rest to finish their Quests. EDIT: The fianl Arena GM's note must now be: Another from another other.
  23. You know what I like in RPGs? When people weave their character development around other peoples' character development, so that when an event tugs on a character development "string" for one character, that same event tugs on a different string for another. Case in point: the stress of the approaching Elven armies tugged on Althior's "Abraxas' doom" string, which in turn tugged on Arthur's "absent father figure" string. You know what I don't like in RPGs? Blatant rip-offs of others' character development, and overuse of cliche. DISCLAIMER: there's a fine line between use of cliche and OVERuse of cliche, but it CAN be done well. Example: Monk Pretzel, as obnoxious as the character is (great roleplaying, BTW, it really gets under the skin ), is a good use of a cliche; his character is in a way a parody (or, possibly, a deconstruction/reconstruction) of the "overzealous religous figure" trope. (No link this time, I don't want to spend hours reading the wiki today. ) Also, I am quite interested in the interaction between Leo and Nerwen's interaction, if Leo can take it just a tad bit slower, this could be quite fascinating to watch!
  24. Arthur and Isabella repeat their previous attack.
  25. As I've stated before, I'm really sad I can't join this one, especially since I lived in Japan for five years. However, I look forward to watching from the sidelines. And, as I said earlier, badboytje, I am at your disposal for any help you might need over the course of the game.
