The Ship Broker of Elysabethtown (note: 4th freebuild this month, so approvals are welcome!) (for the current list of ship for sale: check the end of this post or check here) Sir Botekoop loves his job. Being a Notary, he received a lot of respect across the globe. He also is the keeper of the "BoBs Ship Index". And now he has a new extra task! Helping people in New Terra finding their next ship! As he became responsible for the Elysabethtown office, he now had to start finding clients who put their ship for sale. But that wouldn't be a problem. Lord Maximilian Damaximus (his boss) is lobbying for a 3 db fee for every transaction. Well, time will tell how it will turn out. Suddenly, he hears someone entering his room: The notorious Sea Rat Captain Goldskull stands in front of him! "I am looking for a new ship!" "Yes ofcourse sir, please take a look at our current offer." "That one on top of the shelves looks fine, tell me more about it" "She is called the Raven of Oleon and belonged to a powerfull family from Granoleon. She has been captured by some Sea Rats after tricking the captain in a narrow delta. Now she is for sale! A fine Class 2 Small Sloop." "Sold! I will call her the Revenge of Bastion! As Elysabethtown is a newly found settlement, I choosed for a wooden construction with some hay on the roof to isolate. Amazing ship Mike! It is very smooth (altough a bit too high at the stern). Like said by Ska, it fits the TLG pirate line! Approved for sure! IC: I, Lord Maximilian Damaximus, am very interested in the stock option and will buy a share with the 45 db's I earned this month! This making MAESTRO will already have 2 shares in the CSC as Tomsche is also a MAESTRO member :)

Don't worry my friend! The course of diplomatic relations is still decided by me and I totally don't see a reason for hostilities with the other two companies. What the fiancee of my CEO tells sometimes should be considered trashtalking after drinking some Corrington Rum. We of MAESTRO have a lot of respect for our fellow Eslandolans and we wish to keep our excellent relationship with them the way it is :) Ooc: don't blame Titus, he never grew up in Kaliphlin so he never has been teached the talking of the Wise :P (puny Avalonians...)

As it is an excellent canoe, I indexed it in the Ship Index! Edit: I also indexed the HMS Athena in the Faction Ship Index as "Rumoured/WIP" under the Unlicenced Corrinton Vessels because story-wise seen, the ship clearly already exists

Lucky for you you don't have to restart completely :D I am not really looking forward to the rigging of my upcomming ship... But as I will see Captain Green Hair the first weekend of February, maybe he can give me some advice I can licence a ship belonging to another member or even never posted in the forum. Everyone can. The game-masters will have to check if that's really my ship or not. So they have two options: - 1 digging through the complete forum to try and find out if I am the owner - 2 go to the Ship Index where the current owner is stated I am just saying the Ship Index is a wonderfull tool for both gamemasters and for Bobs-members to find everything they need to know. If your ship encountered another ship during a MCRA and you want to MOC it for the additional 10 db, you can find all the information about that ship (even who the captain of the ship is!!!). I do understand you don't want me to become fealty rich and I agree it would not be fair if I make tons of money out of it. But don't worry, I guess we are talking about maybe maximum 5 ships that will be transferred each month. The time I will spent each month on updating the whole Ship Index will be way more than the time I need to build a decent vessel (I built the Knight of Stedor in one evening), which would earn me AT LEAST 25 db by selling it (so way more than the maybe 15 db I'll earn with the Ship Index. Also, instead of hating such a brilliant idea that appeals to everyone (because it is a win-win situation for all parties, both seller, buyer, gamemaster and the other BoBs-members), be original and creative and find another way to make some extra db's. I am pretty sure there are many other undiscovered ways of helping the other members and earn a little from it (TIP: we still need a Settlement Index!). Don't be just a copycat like Megabloks is to Lego (and as far as I know, everyone hates Megabloks). I completely disagree with this. I can see why the seller's nation should get a small fee (taxes), but all the other nations have completely nothing to do with the transaction.... - And just to make this clear: I didn't start the Ship Index to get benefits from the Gamemasters. It is my responsibility to put a lot of work in it, just like the Gamemasters put a lot of work in BoBs, so I will never ask ingame payments or favours by them. The reason I started this whole discussion is because I saw an opportunity to make some ingame cash, paid by the members as gratitude for my service to them (helping a buyer finding a new vessel and helping a seller to get rid of his vessel, while updating the Ship Index so it is complete). I saw no flaws in this plan as both seller and buyer are very happy once the transaction is finished and because the Game Masters can easily check the current owner of a ship to check if the MCRA-entries are right. Another note: I proposed the 3 db fee as I found that a very decent fee according to the earnings of the seller and the possible earnings of the buyer. If the community finds this too high and counteroffers a 1db or 2 db fee, that's also good for me. If it is 1, 2 or 3 db, that won't make such a big difference after a few months.

I guess the new Ninjago theme shot the bullet to end the Pirates life, even it was so shortly. I asked in a local market when the Pirates line would be on discount, but they couldn't answer me. There were 2 of each set left and I think 3 TBB's. In another story there was even less left (except for also 3 TBB's). I bought the last shipwreck defense (that set with 2 minifigs and a cannon) in order to be sure I still had it. I wanted to wait till discount but like Blackdeathgr pointed out, you have to buy fast nowadays in order to be sure to have it all...
