  1. This reminds me so much of the ill fate that dutch filmmaker had to suffer. I mean being murdered by a islamic fanatic over a controversia, yet just, movie that thematizised violence against and abuse of women in islamic societies. It's a shame a co-student of mine (himself a practizing muslim) found the above case of murder entirely justified...even heaviest arguing didn't seem to have any impact on him. So far, so bad...
  2. which isn't exactly "funny", rather "annoying". There are always two sides to unawaited events...
  3. for the battle at the pass i counted 5x green knight, 5x yellow/black knight and 1 skeleton ^^ damn I have to get dozens of this set ^^
  4. I thank you sooo much for using that word! I will from now on never hesitate to illustrate excitement properly by the word "orgasm". and because this was entirely off topic: i begin to like bionicle...for parts ^^
  5. Yeah, I like the sets alot, too. especially the smallest one with the seven minifigs. Add a snow-white to that and it fits into Lego's fairytale line ^^ Aeriously I find these sets most awesome, which I can not stress enough. Repeated for emphasis: AWESOME!!! Though a let down is that Lego does obviously not improve on the fig-style. For that battle cart set I see Lego gives us the printed radar-dish shields. while nice, I would have preferred the flat stickered technic-disc variant...hmmm still I stand by what I said...awesome...yes... addendum: the new battle-cart wheels are a blast! go Lego!
  6. Most excellent. Apart from that green dragon, most new creator sets look fine. especially that black car. KK2 is a must buy for me no matter what, and now with the clearer pics...*drool* Trainiacs will sob upon seeing the old tracks (metal) being replaced with full plastic ones. Remote control trains, as with Playmobil, are most en vogue it seems...
  7. hmmm Lego did part with the brick after all...now we get fuzzy blurry...things...ugh ^^ well, from what I CAN make out on the box, it's gotta feature at least 1 catapult. and minifigs, (yeah minifigs!) that fight to the deaths of them. can you spell epic? yes I think we will see an epic combat once this set hits shelves. FYI i am right now in a state of mind i cannot describe. but it makes me type weird things. no i don't do drugs people...oh never mind...i'll go to sleep...
  8. the head of toa jaller looks....creeepy ^^ I like it! If the facepart would come in black or dark green I'd buy a dozen to use them as "ancient temple deco". Bionicle does look appealing the more it evolves...first the piraka, now those toa...mmmh
  9. Well I figured I might utter my concerns with the more or less subtle tensions I sense on the boards lately. All this talk about banned members/getting banned/ banning someone/the possibility of banning members left me with a great concern. I might list a convolute of posts to illustrate my point, but I will now mention the Avatar thread in theater solely, where Lost Viking did so conveniently sum the whole case up into the words " Lol, this has been going on for one and a half pages!" ... Besides that I noticed an increased hostility between the members lately. I can't just point my finger on it, but soon after Dark1 "left us" there were many, and I mean MANY, accusations of spamming against a multitude of members. I find that very disturbing since I remember the golden age that made me join up here in the first place some months ago... a golden age of endless off-topic discussion, lols and humour everywhere. I see this fading, and I don't know whether it has anything to do with a steady increasing number of members, or anything else... I just want to add that I am very reluctant to post nowadays, because I feel I can by no means be certain how humour, irony and a healthy dose of sarcasm are percepted right now. Please, I do not want this (still) fine place to transform into another community with "pre-installed thought control", and I know most of you will know as well of which place I speak here... most have been there and experienced it themselves. But don't get my point wrong! I do not want to post in a "cuddly cotton-candy community" either, where members will not discuss controversities of any kind. I just feel the need in some people for a little more lowliness and less hostility. Awaiting ban-threats from this point forward, Cutty
  10. I wonder why I didn't already post in this topic... :-D *wacko* I am 23 years old...no comments on illuminaty or freemasons once I mention this number, please ^^
  11. nice model...truely nice. but your photographing surface distracts the eye BADLY! you might want to change that in future photos.

Because that's what Lego is about: using parts at free will and imagine whatever there is to imagine...like the luke face being a girl. I myself have used this particular face as a girl's before and it works quite well. Timmy is...well, Timmy, and the old lady's torso...hmmm...upcoming set? maybe?! Don't know, but it's a perfect example for Lego's strange and twistet paths as of late. I like the poster!
  13. to answer your question it does Now I really consider Nintendo evil. If they can now, why not on the original DS? Then again, I do own a normal GBA and an SP...but still, I kinda feel stabbed in the back for being a first-wave buyer now... *snicker* Read my post carefully, especially the question LegoLover answered...^^ Well it was obvious, but hope defies rational thought by it's very nature...
  14. now that my sister has a ds I might get a lite if the price flatters my skinny wallet...preferably with a bunch of roses, a diamond-laden gold tiara and some belgian chocolate...gee I am dreaming again. I just think design-wise Nintendo takes a step in the right direction (which is Revolution) but kicks customer-butts who just about recently bought a ds "first edition"... I just hope they implement GBA-linking in this ds version...but hope dies first, doesn't it?
  15. Sorry if I missed out on some past news on this, but I can't seem to find the chat anywhere. Someone care to give me a slight push into the right direction?
  16. Here's for a new goal: vent your n00b-gene once you hit the big "1337" ^^!!!!!!!!!1!!111one1one111!...two haha I'm just making fun here ^^
  17. I want that sculpture! Badly! This is so damn underwaterly cute...aaaaaaw! *chants* I'm ready! I'm ready! I'm ready! I'm ready! I'm ready! I'm ready! ....hihi
  18. all I can say to that is: WHOA! I love the Fabuland-keychains! I still have a solid handful of Fabu-people in my boxes here...most of which I don't even remember playing with as a child...oh the fond memories^^ Thumbs up gylman!
  19. I have 3 of that combo-pack now and I guess I hadn't bought it in multiples if it wasn't any good. Sure Aredhel has a point when she points out there are some pretty lame parts to it (see inventories, especially startling is the inclusion of alpha team cockpit bottoms on the ship...) it does look nice when built and from my point of view serves excellently as parts fodder for bulking up castle creations. The ship has some nice arch-parts in new grey, which are not so widespread in newer sets I believe. My only gripe is the backside of the fortress...once you open that door, figs will fall into oblivion...so it is rather a "look at front side only" set. the fig selection is nice for the baddies-part (vladek, shadow knight with speckled barbute) but lame on the heroes-part (yet another santis, with grey hands...inconsistency alert, and yet another rascus... these two are by now forming piles in my KK2 figs-bin since they're almost in every set...). If you have the chance to get it at Real..go there (either by bike or if necessary using your very own god given feet) and pay the ridiculously low price for it. I myself am planning to get me at least one another copy of this...and I don't even have an excuse, since the next Real is about a 2 min. car drive away. Or rather 15 min. if I go on foot... Hope at least anyone enjoyed this mini-commentary on combo-pack 8801&8802 ^^
  20. Ha! Great to have Keith "IronReich" Goldman on board here! And with yet another most fabulous creation as well! Seriously, I drooled buckets over your past accomplishments in epic grey architecture when I first found your MoonBase Mech Bay several months ago on mocpages...and of course laughed myself inside out upon your hilarious comments to go with the pics. Enough of this sappy chumming up now... just feel comfortable here... and watch your back for any shady strangers insanely chanting "old grey...OOOLD GREEEY!!!" while sneaking upon you! ;) Greetings, Cutty

  22. Awh! This is almost exactly what I had planned to build for a Cthulhu-idol once I get my collection into building-ready state... I must say:Given the natural choice of that one-piece octopus for 'Thulhu head has become a little stale now...however, nice scene. And as for that hailing thing, here is how to do it right: [chant repeatedly in a slow, semi-humming, guttural fashion. increase volume and frequency steadily] I'ah! I'ah! C'Thul'Hu F'Ta'Ghn! I'ah! I'ah! C'Thul'Hu F'Ta'Ghn! I'ah! I'ah! C'Thul'Hu F'Ta'Ghn! I'ah! I'ah! C'Thul'Hu F'Ta'Ghn! I'ah! I'ah! C'Thul'Hu F'Ta'Ghn! aso... [at the peak of the ceremony keep quiet as cthulhu's highest ranking servant recites the formula:] Phnglui mglwnafh Cthulhu Rlyeh wgahnagl fhtagn* which translates to: "In his house in R'Lyeh dead Cthulhu waits dreaming" *didn't know this line off my head so I c&p'ed it from another website...there are hundreds out there, google one up and get yourself info. [some descriptions of ceremonies feature the presence of Cthulhus descendants from planet xoth, or other creatures from the depths of space. human sacrifices are optional, though presumably common in areas of very low cultural and social level...] Praise the great old ones, for they were, are and forever will be! Cuttythulhu p.s.: does anyone here know, preferably someone who is into mathematics, if it is technically even possible to build with Lego following a non-euclidan geometry?! I don't come to understand the concept behind this...
  23. AIVR, Batman and Robin was number 7 in Johnathon Ross' Film 2005 or 2004 (maybe even Film 2003 actually) program in the top ten worst films ever. It certainly detracted from the Dark Knight that Michael Keaton and Val Kilmer established. Oh and Batgirl? Another potential set there. I agree with the point about additional minifigs in regular attire e.g. Jack Napier, Viktor Fries, Barbara Wilson, Dr Pamela Isley Oh yeah, Dick and Barbara in their motorbikes - kewl scenes. Let's have a set made Yeah true. George Clooney as Batman was a... sad choice. But in the end it was not the actors making the movie twist bad, rather the crappy plasticard bubblegum script and the most freakingly disgusting optics... While the Burton-Batmans were full of weird psychological drama (remember Napier snapping to "Joker-mode" upon seeing his remodeled face? The weird scene in which Selina Kyle custom-tailors her Catwoman-suit after nearly falling to death? Gorgeous!) And even Batman Forever had that subtle presence of depth to it (though flawed through cuts made to the movie), e.g. when Bruce discovers it was not his fault his parents were shot to death...which thought made him become Batman in the first place. Batman and Robin however was a period of 2+ hours I would want to get back...such an utter waste of time.
  24. By that rational Lego WILL most probably deduct that the decreasing sales number in Castle is a silent call for even more Beeped up Bionicle Beeep... Do you really want THAT?! Edited by Yoda: Just beeped the curse words ;) Tks from refraining from using them ;)
