  1. The pics on 1000steine are still there, but they changed adresses. One could possibly go the extra mileto salvage all of them, put them on the B'shelf and link to them from here...possibly. Holy Zeus am I lazy... *yawns*, Cutty
  2. Too bad classic weapons are so alien to our little norsemen: "These teddies won't hurt me! They got neither teeth nor catapults!"
  3. Ok, after reading some posts requesting to call these "KK3" I thought I'd share my opinion on the matter: So the last old grey castle-line was "Knights Kingdom" that got us the fight between King Richard and Cedric the bull. People complained, mourned and argued about it being the ultimate downfall of all things castle. Its big castle was released in 2000 as sets 6091(us) and 6098...the line then ended. Not later than 2004 TLC released it's new grey/bley castle-line called "Knight's Kingdom" that would introduce fantasy blades, rainbow knights and a shallow good vs. evil plot pattern. For the sake of easiness it was deemed "KK2" to set it apart from the last "Knights Kingdom"-line. So far we had two line-ups of releases in this line (2004, 2005) and it always kept its name "KK2". With these new big figs on the horizon people meddle about it being "KK3". Why? The story about the colour knights contre "Monsieur Vladek le sombre" isn't at an end yet, so it still stays "KK2" since it is not an entirely new line that would need a rechristening of any kind. To set the different releases apart I always used interpunction to provide a numerical index, as in: 2004: KK2.1 2005: KK2.2 2006: KK2.3 So to those people meddling and all: this is still "KK2" even though it may have taken a turn in a new direction (a turn for the better! there is even chainmail on the big-figs!). And remember the name "KK2" is entirely a community product I reckon so if you'd like to be ultra-accurate please feel free to call it "2006 releases of the Knight's Kingdom-line". Fresh out of bed, Cutty
  4. Moved the translation to here: http://eurobricks.hosting.ipsyn.com/eurofo...23&t=2446&st=0& Thanks again again again cutty ;) Edited By DoubleT
  5. Toa Tilius: I would certainly like to think that! They get uglier every time ;) BTW: I forgot to mention these might not be the final designs we will buy (or not buy...) in stores! I suspect these pics were copied/scanned from a german retailer-catalogue. The striking evidence for this would be the "text-only" Exo-Force pic, that elaborates on how this line will appeal to young boys aso... H
  6. @Sne: We certainly do have...much to my disliking! You wouldn't believe what narrow-minded politics people will conjure up when it comes to international publicity on the horizon! Provider of 101% off-topic goodness, Cutty p.s.: Thanks to all of you folks for your kind words!
  7. Toa Tilius: Bionicle pics link'd...looky looky uppy thery! My thoughts: Mediocre expectations! Sports will not sell, Exo-Force will most likely suck big time, Belville and Duplo kinda stay the same, Bionicle...meh..., Ferrari gets some nice sets, but will most likely be too expensive due to licensing (truck anyone?), nice additions on the Technic part, City...well...the planes look to
  8. Men and Gentlegirls! May I redirect your weary megablock tortured oculi towards the plethora of "leaky sneaky info" to be found on www.1000steine.de? The topic "Fundsache" you'll find a convolute of pics of upcoming sets, among these: - new Bionicle - new Belville fairytales - new CITY (Ambulance!, Airport fire-engine!, Hospital!, Passanger Airplane!, Airport!, Airplane mechanic!, Medic's car!, Rescue helicopter!) - new Duplo of diverse themes (Thomas the locomotive, zoo, KNIGHTS!) - new Creator sets! (Among them: 4 new X-Pods, different from US-versions, in red, white, blue and green! Car-hauler! Triceratops!) - A whole new theme called "Exo-Force". based on Manga-aesthetics. This line most likely will feature "shining bricks". Sets: "Stealth Hunter", "Grand Titan", "Thunder Fury", "Fire Vulture", "Sonic Phantom", "Uplink" and "Sentry". - new Ferrari - new Sports football - new KK2, sets: "King Jayko w/ catapult", "Lord Vladek w/ catapult","Sir Kentis", "Sir Adric", "Dracus" and "Karzon" - new Racers - new SW, V-Wing, Tie Interceptor (box shot), B-Wing fighter and Slave I. - new Technic, sets: 8281 - Mini tractor, 8282 - Quad-Bike and 8283 - Telescope hauler. Note: Credit is due to H
  9. I like this very much! Pretty sexy underwater-craft. Upon further inspection the word "boom" stands for whatever elongated operating arm on a constructional device (like a crane, an excavator or whatever...). In nautic lingo it means the part of the mast that extends crossways from it and holds the sail into place from the underside. Getting hurt by this thing hurts a lot! I assure you! For you german speakers out there: the first meaning is "Ausleger" in german, the second is "(Mast-)Baum"... Now I would like to see that craft in a nice photoshopped underwater action shot. Care for some fanservice Sne?! ;) Linguistic greetings, Cutty
  10. Happy Birthday!

    New Ideas

I normally would not blatantly try to hijack a thread, but seeing as this thread's topic could make for so much more than just: "Who likes space too?" I mind trying to give this a new spin: Some will remember that there was a "Design the next Alpha Team line" discussion that spawned many nice concepts over time. In this place I would like you to list up a handful of suggestions in an order from "most needed" to "less important" for a future non-SW LEGO space line. Please note: Be creative! Lightsabers, PCS, Klingons, Space Communists and mutated killer Bunnies are already all over the net! 1. Civilian purpose crafts! (Science is what drives us out there!) 2. Brick built aliens / Limited colour palette (white, bleys, different shades of blue, non-eyehurting trans-colours!) 3. Tying the line to where LOM left off design wise (Like the Universal Minifig logo, chrome visors...) 4. No friggin`storyline of no kind in no Kcufin' humanly conceivable way of thought! 5. Scuba tanks for spacegear! Rocks no end! "Our people need Space!", Cutty to the admins: is the language filter deactivated or malfunctioning?
  12. Well, seeing as how the former HP lines' sets came to stink and decompose around the stores here, I kind of understand why TLC focuses on the more impressive things from their licences. Though that would definitely rule that ugly ship out...its release makes no sense to me, since the only two figures included are second line characters anyway, and the ship isn't a major part of the plot (unless they rewrote it for the movie). The merpeople set is thus in dire need of a Fleur Delacour, the Hungarian Horntail would have liked a little more spectators, and why we won't see a Cedric Diggory in the graveyard is beyond me (ok, some dead schoolboy would be a little too sinister...). Makes me wonder how they will go about the whole Death-Eater-prophecy-fighting-gore-fest of HP's 5th episode...and if the Blacks' Mansion will make its appearance as the Order's hq... Note: Do NOT read the above if you don't like spoilers! If you spoil yourself by reading whatever there is on the internet: BLAME YOURSELVES! HA! Major blame and spoilage, Cutty
  13. Thanks Matt! So I was wrong after all...1997, will be a hard time getting it here... Greetings, Cutty
  14. I think the Tree Of Life is a bit lacking in ..... size? Honestly I always thought of it to be of gargantuan dimensions, putting any common redwood toothpick to shame. But for the MOCing qualities: Most excellent! I like it very much. How about a vig of Thor and Hymir fishing for Middy-Snake?! ^^ Vikingish salutations to all *viki* , Cutthor
  15. On Bricktestament I found the head in front (glasses, grey moustache) which I didn't know before. A search on Peeron for "moustache", "beard" and "glasses" rendered no positive results on where to get this seemingly elusive head. Can anyone here identify the origin of this piece (preferably with set-no. and year of release)? I concluded it had to be a pretty new head since it already has the white highlights in the eyes, but as mentioned above, I never saw it anywhere, yet. Thanks in advance! Cutty
  16. I always thought that the model builders worked on the ship-designs for ROTJ and christened them "Design A" and "Design B", which coincided with the smaller design actually having an "A" shape (to an extent, that is...). The second design just kept it's name without really resembling the letter "B" too much.
  17. "THAT'S A SHIP?! Looks more like something I would want my wife to wear at night!"
  18. Nice! Maybe I'll get this set...both JSF in one strike, and I even do not have Anakin's already. Hopefully there'll be comfortable prices when I find it.
  19. Viking: "Look you filthy dog! I made this basket ball out of you mama's gut! Wanna join her or what?!" Fenris: "You...murder...momy!?" *HOWL*
  20. "I knew it! Deep at heart you wolves are just playful doggies! I like doggies. Go fetch! ... Good boy!" *viki* Greesons seatings, Yttuc the Frost-Giant
  21. I can almost see all the disturbed and disgusted faces of all the gamers....^^ I was ready for a surprise but I didn't expect funky remote controlled sex-toys *wacko* :-D :D Honestly? As long as one can control whatever moves on screen, it will fulfill its purpose. Though the GameCube has a high probability of being the last console I ever got. I WILL test this thing out though, as soon as cuttily possible ^^. Innovatively controlled greetings, Nintendo Cuttylution
  22. May I thank you as well Apo? You truly captured the grim expression of my favourite Viking head! And I'm going to put it to good use, that's a promise ^^ Drink on comrades, Cutty *viki*
  23. My guess would be: Because there is no noteworthy space-activity coming fom denmark right now! And the only space related stuff we get is the Star Wars theme...and that goes into the "Lego Theater" section as you might know. I myself find it very sad that there is no such discussion forum here, but I also do believe, most people here don't feel a collective need for it. So, no sets, no mocs and no people who'd regularly post here... But I am pretty positive about a fresh brand-spanking new shiny space-forum popping out of the blue as soon as TLC gives us new space-goodness to spend our money on :-D Spacey greetings, *space* Kaptain Kutty
  24. So folks! TLC has announced plans for continuing the Viking line after it became clear it was a hit. What are your wishes for the future of our favourite "alternative fantasy-pirates" (^.^) line? Mine would be as followed: 1. - More variety in helmets, preferably historical correct (Playmobil did a considerably good job at some of their helmets for their respective Vikings) 2. - Females! Houses! Village! Children! (and continuing depiction of culinary excesses! More beer-kegs and turkey-roast!) 3. - An opposing faction, or at least a new minifig based threat (Trolls? Dwarves?) with the occasional myth-monster thrown in (Kraken anyone? Ice-giants?). Beer laden greetings, Cutty
  25. Same experience here! I would prefer the new mold theory. The bad thing (well, for me) is: No KK2 helmets without applying force on old gray helmets...too bad. Have a nice day, Cutty
