It appears to me that he sports a bandaging for a small wound on his right temple. The red lines I think indicate blood sifting through the bandaging. I'd like LEGO to remake this head, sans stupid show-off grin, with highlighted eyes just as it did with this head into this head .

If it's only one of the above persons, then my guess is "C". His name is Stefan Raab, a german TV-entertainer (though he ceased being funny several years ago...) and to my knowledge he has no scandinavian heritage. btw:LOL on the swedish chef! I never was so deep into the muppet show, so I wouldn't have known him to be swedish ^^. Anyway, have a nice day folks! Cutty

V-Wing and A-Wing, in that order, for nice dark red goodness...after some swooshing around that is ^^.

In Viking-school: Swordsplay teacher: "Listen up kids! This is an advanced double-wielding technique. Aim for the neck, prepare to thrust, then strike with everything you`ve got! Like this!" Pupil: "But Professor? Why are we practising with these ugly creatures we don't even know where they are from?" ST: "Good question! First reason is, that we could import them for almost nothing from a galaxy far far away. Second reason would be: They ruined Star Wars irrevocably! Now line up kids, we got plenty of the suckers to decapitate today!" Class: "They ruined Star Wars?! VIKING-RAGE!! AAARGGH!" Soon after, all pupils received their A-grades in swordsplay class....

First of all: Please do yourself and all others a favour by learning how to spell at least in a readable and less frustrating fashion. Thank you. Second of all: It is old news by now, that TLC announced they would be including parts in pre-2004 colours, in order to clear out their stocks of them, in newer sets. This is true for parts, that support a set structurally or that are by other means not visible once the set is completely assembled. Nice evening to you, Cutty

Only if I get all the chocolate ^^ (sorry Snefroe1...can't...resist...chocolate...cravings.....) Must...avoid...superhero...strain...speech, Cutty

Remember Nietzsche: "What does not kill us makes us stronger!" Not the original quote, but who cares? Ska

Well it were not really the Vikings who were portraied, rather the Gauls, and it were not really the Greeks who did the portraying, but in this case greek-influenced hellenic artists form Pergamon in asia minor (Turkey today). They are essentially Greeks, though they acquired the greek culture through the expansion and later fall of Alexandros' empire, which fell apart after his death in 323 b.c. in Babylon and was separated between his generals, the "diadochoi" (greek name) of which Ptolemaios, who took regime over egypt, may be the most prominent. Examples: The Dying Gaul:12 And here another example, that shows, that I was indeed incorrect (sorry!). This gallic nobleman, who is supposedly from the same group of plastics as the Dying Gaul above, is indeed shaven and beardless. I now remember the name of the specific neckwear the norsemen used to wear (notice this item on the first plastic!): Torques, which was indeed common with both men and women. Please note: the above plastics are, if my memory does not fail me, from either the 3rd or 2nd century B.C.!

After their weapon comparison failed for the most part, Viking and Dwarf came to settle their dispute in a struggle of slippery innuendo...hereby follows the account of that episode: Viking: "Hey little one! I'm hornier than thou!" *snickers* Dwarf: "Hey tall one! You know what they say about little men with large beards?! Wait ladies, I'm right over here!" Viking: *grumble*

Yeah the languages are astonishingly similar in appearance...I would hardly understand it though both by hearing in reading it...same counts for Swedish by the way. Fest is a German word btw. means party/ festivity as in BrickFEST... The German word for sword is also familiar, both to Danish and English (the word is "Schwert" in german) Peace in Danish is also related to the German word "Frieden" = Fred And Fjed finds it's similarity in the word "Feind". Though the Dutch word for enemy (can't spell it...^^

hmm were Vikings really clean shaven? The ancient greeks used to portrait them with moustaches at least! And some sort of neckwear I forgot the name of...a circular sort of thing...snakelike and twisted..argh! My archaeology lesson fails me... Also note: Antonio Banderas portraits an arabian nobleman in "The 13th Warrior" so his facial hair might be close to nothing...^^ What did my old history teacher always say: "Men without beards are castrates"... Castratedly yours, Cutty

But hey! The Romans did know mead also! I don't remember the Latin word for it right know, but I was hard drunk of it during a Roman festival in a neighbour city of mine... Anyway, thanks TT for the vocabulary! Still thinks Latin is better, Cutty

Hey cut the spite! That might be the only future StarWars set I might be getting without it being an utter parts supply. I think the grey-red box the last A-Wing was needs a proper re-working badly...so I hope this better be good. Proudly piloting A-Wings since 1995, Cutty

23 years on my back here...and somehow I feel like I lost some years somewhere between being 14 and 21... 7 years without any firm good memories...aargh! I am getting too old too fast! And having started studying at university only a semester ago...will take long before I have a decent income... Now what gives, anyway? See you dancin' on our graves AFOLs, Cutty

Review: 4765 Harry Potter - Rescue From the Merpeople
Cutty replied to The Middleman's topic in LEGO Licensed
Thanks for the fast response BJ! About that pike: with it vbeing sand-blue here it was my very reason to call it "special-weapon" in the first place, considering I have a good amount of that fine piece flying around in both dark grey and bley ;) ... Another "Wohoo!" from me here! Even more trans-green goodness ^^ *cough, cough, breath* <- is now rescued from the merpeople... Cutty -

Yes, two. :) Wohoo! Me wants a dozen of that set! Such a great parts assortment here (well, safe for the figs that is...Ron could possibly pass as a demented zombie though...)! Question here: Is the pike thingy the merperson holds sand-blue or grey (well bley...)? Could be nice as a special weapon for RPGing...:oD Thanks BloodyJay, fantastic review and pics. *blurb, blurb* <= is currently being rescued from the merpeople ;) Cutty -
That's the problem: No there isn't! I came across these in both that Fluffy-Set and Dumbledore's Office, and in both cases they were free to spin. Not to menton that, once means are found to fixate them into place, these staircases could make for interesting modeling opportunities, but for playing purposes they are lacking hardcore due to their flimsy structure. See you on the boards, Cutty

Another fine parts supply if, and that is a major "if", it sells for a reasonable price in europe... Seen on it's own...well at least it looks like a Tie-Interceptor. Not that I would be overly interested in it...
-
By the sound of that I reckon it might actually have something to do with elongated front teeth and long pointy ears, hasn't it? ;) Rodents do not hatch from eggs, Cutty

Oh xwingyoda!! You are one! I didn't mean to get this set, and now I saw your picks and the niftinessof BloodyJay's new ava and I can hardly wait to rip open that reddish-Harry-Pottery-box of that set! Thanks alot! [/sarcasm] ;) *sigh*s at Voldemorts glowy-evilly 'ead... Plannin' trips to blockily graveyards, Cutty
-
Nice parts pack IF it sells at a reasonable price here on LEGO-continent... Especially nice considering the amount of dark red, which I am a vigorous sucker for *shows vampyric teeth at the sound* The pilot will land in my StarWarsFig-box anyway...so screw him... See you in my StarWarsFig-box, Cutty
-
Good heavens! It was ridiculous the first time, now it's childish at best! As if noone had any common sense to realize that it is supposed to be a Tie-Interceptor! I mean: roundish-center thing with two red dots, large black/blue curved structures in the sides? What the heck! It is most likely not even going to be such a well crafted design anyway, so screw this procrastination bull**** "From Bull**** To Bull****
-
Thank you for pointing out TLC ridiculous prices of these sets xwingyoda! I would have done it now if you hadn't already. Honestly: What is the point in overpricing sets for customers THAT ARE ON THE VERY SAME megablocking CONTINENT?! There is no way I will pay 40
-
Neat idea! Will be done as soon as I figure out how to synchronize decent lighting and mediocre camera-resolution for the best results... See you on the longboats, Cutty

Someone would probably be me in this case ;) , but anyway... I'd like to see ancient world themes, Greeks vs. Persia, Romans vs. Karthago... Or if we don't get it that way: Greek mythology! Herakles, Theseus, Perseus, Achilles vs. Hektor, the Gigantomachy (Olympians vs. Titans)....aaaah my heart throbs for these *wub* *wub* *wub* So TLC!! Give us these sets, or I personally will send the minifig-terrorists from two pages before on your ABSses ;) !!! See you on the boards, Cutty
