In which country do you live? Germany Which education did you choose? Why? Studying classics(ancient history), classic archaeology and philosophy on MA (Master of Arts/Magister). Determined to promovate. My wish is to either teach at university or work for museum(s). Did someone force you to take this education? If yes, who did it? Noone forced me. Though I was inspired by my former history teachers from high school to study history. What expectations did your friends and/or family have about your education? About grades? My family is mostly indifferent though expect me to do well. Since I'm known to score good concerning grades noone asks anyway. Did the above somehow affected your education? I feel justified by the mentioned indifference. Since I will be the first academic in the family in supposedly 4+ generations.

I don't mind the stickers. and as good as vladek's fortress is (got 2 of that baby ^^...jelly belly knights are piling in my castle-box...), there is potential in this set. In fact I embrace stickers for being optional. Increases usability of bricks in my book. -
who says it's a wizard?...the way he holds his hammer and the shield (of ages, i suppose) might indicate somekind of blacksmith. I further suppose the brickparts to be stickers. might i add? I LOVE THIS SET! BLISS!

these will be the first KK2 bigfigs I get. thanks for the pics TT!

WOW! way to slip the calendar topic...damn. I will keep the below anyway...it's just as good as my attention span gets these days... found on classic-castle.com, original picture from lowlug.nl. taken from a lego calendar might i direct your eyes towards: - golden euro armor - cool prints on shields (bull, snake, falcon, scorpion on black, shield of ages [see fig in the tower]) - WHITE dragon heads (tower top) - jayko head w/ beard (I LOVE bearded faces ^^) - "scabbers" rat reused - crossbows in reddish-brown though i am weary of - continuing catapulterization -
wishlist 2006: - new x-pods (multiples of green and white ones...) - new creator dino - police boat 7899 (planning to customize some shadow knight boats) - airplane mechanic (multiples) - possibly the medical sets - the new KK2 bigfigs (wave 3 does look promising, and the greaves could make for nice minifig columns/pillars) - perhaps some exo-force "things" for parts...only for parts! - piraka reidak (the black one) in multiples -> crazy idea for a minifig cthulhu ^^ and that's about it...well, new vikings of course... edit: forgot minifig KK2.3 sets...hell will I love them ^^!

I just wish TLC gave us this as minifig. ;)

Mostly all of my friends did somehow find out about me liking Lego. Some of them at the very least when we passed by a toystore in Stuttgart (city in germany...) last friday and I started sermonizing about the Lego sculpture-display (nice nativity scene...I forgot to take pics though :( ) in the window. One of my friends is particularly alienated every time we visit a toystore by the way I know prices off my head and start calculating price/brick-ratios... ;) . Sometimes my family is very helpful in the matter and bring discounted Lego from vacations or shove me in the right direction during to-buy-or-not-to-buy situations (as happened last week, when I found the last copy of Vladek's Dark Fortress for sensational 69.95

all those complaining about how these sets look "thrown together last minute express" seem to have forgotten what makes lego so special. pure set-collectors might be pissed though... p.s.: the language filter does not work properly... -
as there are no more actual dinosaurs on the planet any colour of skin is as probable as any other. limiting the palette to shades of green and brown does not do the multitude of skin colours for reptiles/lizards justice. so legosaurs might be doing just fine sporting pink...

these look nice. though I'll pass my final judgement over better quality pics only. -
So, in the light of the quote provided in this post, why exactly are you trying to apologize for smokers? Without giving anything to us that at least vaguely resembles an argument that could hold content of worth?
-
old does not mean illegit. and I am intolerant because there has not been one good pro-smoke argument in the last 23 years... so go figure who's got the better ground concerning the very presence of any form of argument. besides: intolerant does not mean unreflected! check a dictionary for proof!
-
Being a militant non-smoker IMHO is as intolerant as being a smoker. I know how it is when you're addicted and thus am not that harsh against smokers (and I mean addicts, not spare time smokers). RANT! TAKE WITH CARE: I do consider myself a very tolerant person, SAFE FOR (as you mentioned) Smokers!. Be it religion, sexuality, choice of food (though missionary vegans and atkinsians piss me off at times...) I am very tame and easy to be with. But look above. What is strange about that list? Right! None of above choices do affect others in the process. Smoking does. And I will not care how much anyone (and be it the lovechild of great cthulhu and jesus christ himself!) plays apology-songs for poor cancerous smokers. The truth is: ANY smoker did one fine day PURPOSEFULLY DECIDE to start smoking for whatever reasons. He/She agreed thereby to being constantly filled with poisonous fumes, which will harm others, who are by that rationale NOT CARED ABOUT by the smoking party, and suffering long term damage beyond reasonable thought. The ridiculous claim smoking adds to some kind of "ars vivendi" or heightens the joy of living is totally incomprehensible to me! What could sucking on a potentially dangerous mix of chemicals possibly add to my quality of life? Does living nearby a nuclear plant or a sewage treatment facility add to my quality of life? So why the hell should smoking do?! Side-effects of this all people (be them smokers or not) have to suffer are, among others: cigarettes on the streets (the state pays solid

I admire all you ex-smokers for your discipline. Not that I needed any in the field of smoking...because I don't. In fact I'm a militant non-smoker at the very heart. It's true! I broke long lasting friendships over tobacco and marihuana...and many that is! So congrats to all of you, who defeated the addiction! And do never forget this: Tell smokers nearby if they bother you! They do not only harm them, but you, too! Smokefree greetings to smokefree people, Cutty btw: Quitting means you quit being a member of the "Fumascuncus Vulgaris" species... ;) Try to figure fun-latin out ^^
