[COR - Ch1 CatA] Islands of Paradise
CelesAurivern replied to Mike S's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
I really dig the density of the plant life. Very nicely arranged. -
Your stories are awesome. My kind of tongue in cheek humour!

From Scene 5 of Lenny's Chronicle. The first encounter with natives of the land. The naughty McReily takes a peek at some native women in their very native form.

SCENE 5 "We travelled upstream the rest of the afternoon. The crisp and clear water ensured our canteens were always full. There was abundant freshwater fish which we hunted and roasted when we camped for the night, preserving our rations for needier times." "The next morning, we continued our journey up the river. It was not long before we came across our first encounter with sentient life. I mean, besides the birds and monkeys, of course." Lenny: Do you hear that? Higgins: Me old ears are shot, Captain. What's that you hear? Lenny: Coming from that direction. Behind the trees. It sounds like people speaking... in an unfamiliar tongue... Come, let us approach them, but quietly. We do not wish to cause any alarm. *100 paces later* Lenny: Over there! There are people in that lagoon! My spyglass, Higgins! *Peers into the spyglass* Lenny: Word! It appears to be a group of native, females, by the looks of it? McReily: Females? Lemme see, Cap'n! *McReily grabs the spyglass* McReily: Ohhh... Women... Naked women... My loins are burning! *McReily quickly but stealthily approaches the lagoon* Lenny: Wait! What are you doing?! Come back! *McReily hides behind the bushes as he feasts his eyes on some fine specimens with a stupid grin on his face*

[COR - FB 3] The Government House at Port Raleigh
CelesAurivern replied to SkaForHire's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
Lovely, very colonial looking. And so Corrington has gained a foothold on this island. Time for the Emporium to expand eastward. -
I always thought we were closer to early 16th century, the age of exploration and colonisation.

We might be 200-300 years too early for industrialisation :p What specific contraptions did you have in mind though?

We're still in season 1 and you're all bringing out the heavy equipment already? Moderation, gentlemen :p Let us not start an arms race so quickly.- 897 replies

I think it's a great idea, really, to run a ship market. Though it would be better to make it an official IC business, rather than running it OOC. But that's just my RP preference :p So making it a licenced shipyard as a legit business, build a MOC for it, front office or whatever, you get a monthly income as per the games economic rules. Extra income come in the form of commissions from ship transactions + some taxes go to the states involved. Indeed win-win for all and makes for a moving economy. Of course, the we'll need the GMs to finalise this mechanics of such a system. We can't have people abusing the system by selling a ship from captain to captain just to generate income for the state :p In any case, make it an official IC MAESTRO business and don't think anyone will have any beef to mince.

High is good. I love tall cabins. TLC likes to build high. Just look at all the ships they designed.

I like the boxiness and those huge cannon ports. Gives it a good angular range. Revolutionary!

TBB loses for being a clone of BBB. Even the name is a clone. BBB while not particularly spectacular, has a special shark to win it :p

Sterling build with that distillary; deserves a hearty thumbs up That lovely technology seems ahead of its time. There be time travellers? Is transparent aluminum in use there? :p- 19 replies

It seems a lot of people like the first pic, myself included :) Will be thinking up the island plot over the weekend, as well as waiting for new parts to arrive, so the next update might take a few days or so.

[COR - Ch1 Cat B] There's a Kind of Lush
CelesAurivern replied to CelesAurivern's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
Yeah, I would've loved to build in some rocky terrain and jagged outcrops, but alas, no bluish grey slopes on hand :( Using a cheap phone camera here. Tried taking without flash, but the room lighting just isn't enough to produce a clear picture. I guess this is part where people tell me to 'learn to shop' :p- 12 replies
