  1. Dear valued customers. Thank you all for your bouquets and patronage. To allay the concerns that some of our patrons have brought up, we would like to assure that all law-abiding customers are welcome, regardless of nationality or ethnicity. With regard to the supply of ingredients, our suppliers have indicated that shipments are expected to come on time next month. Regular shipping will resume as the hurricane starts to move south, so barring any anomalies in the forecast, it will be business as usual. In appreciation of the huge wave of support, we are pleased to announce a Two for One promotion on all rum based beverages and cocktails, valid until the end of this month! *Whilst stock last* The Flask and Flagon Management ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Dear Mr. Hawsbrugh, We thank you for the kind offer and would be most pleased to take the three score crates of rum off your hands for said very reasonable price. 4. Scene 9 *The rest of the evening passes quickly as our party shares stories, eats and makes merry. Lenny: Chief, do you think that Lafayette's treasure really exists? Chief: So, young Leonard. Interested in the booty, are you? Well, if it does, it might still be somewhere on that island. The map we had is long gone though. I don't think parchment would have survived 30 years under the sea. Lenny: Truth be told, sir, our expedition was largely sponsored by a merchant friend of mine. I was hoping we could find something of monetary or commercial value to repay her investment. Chief: Hmmm... something of monetary value eh...? You have a ship, do you not? Lenny: We do. A small and modest rig, but she's seaworthy. Chief: In that case, I have an idea. My ship had some emergency funds that we never got a chance to use. It's no fortune, but there's a decent bit of doubloons in the captain's chest. She was wrecked off the coast of that island and I know her location. With a little luck, you might be able to recover something from her wreck. Lenny: Truly, Chief?! I would certainly like to try! Chief: Very well then. We shall make an attempt tomorrow. I hope your swimming skills are good. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- *The next day, our party sets sail early in the morn, with the guidance of Chief Muluhulu.* Chief: Ahh... I have not set foot on a ship in so many years. The nostalgia in brings. There's the island... The tides are less hostile during this season, but we should still keep a safe distance from the rocks. *As we approached the location of the wreck.* Chief: Yes, my ship lies somewhere beneath. Lenny: Right, I'll take a look. *splash* Lenny: "There's her wreck, exactly as told. And I guess this might be the chest?" Lenny: I found something! Chief: Ah yes, that's the chest. Well done, young Leonard! Let us return to the village and we'll see if the contents have been preserved. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- [This scene is also the MCRA for Feb 2016]
  5. Oops, I meant flotilla, not route. I thought BrickOn was concerned there's not enough space for all his ships.
  6. *Blackbeard in his class 5A QAR encounters a class 0 fishing boat* Blackbeard: Ya-hargh! I spy with my spyglass a little fishing boat by the coast off starboard! Bo'sun, change our heading! We shall take them! Bo'sun: You sure about this, Cap'n? We're 5 classes above them! A fishing boat has naught much of value anyway. Blackbeard: I don't care! *QAR comes within firing distance of the fishing boat. Bo'sun: Cap'n, there are only 2 wee lads on that boat. They haven't even caught any fish yet, from the looks of it. Blackbeard: Open fire. Bo'sun: Cap'n?! Open fire? But they won't even resist! Blackbeard: I don't care. The 1d10 says we open fire, we open fire. *QAR fires. The fishing boat disintegrates. Bo'sun: I hope you're happy, Cap'n. We just killed two wee lads on foppery and whim. Blackbeard: ... ...I see another fishing boat.
  7. We can start another route, can we not?
  8. Srsly? There are combat rolls for fishing trips? No cargo in the bay, but random npc pirates just wanna blow up your canoe anyway?
  9. But if all eggs are in the same basket, all will either hit or miss. Is there any benefit to having a large group with warships guns blazing?
  10. If we look at the index, quite a number of class 2s are actually built to fall into the class 3 range. There might be cause to reexamine some of the classifications and lay out clearer boundaries as to what qualifies as a certain class. We could also give our dear prize council something to do by judging the ship rating. (Does this build fall into the 3-4 category? Or is it clearly only worth a 2.) Old Imperial Flagship, I think, is overclassed.
  11. Tis a beauty indeed. Fair and refined. I guess you could always petition to add a 4F, seeing how greatly representative this build is for a 4F.
  12. The Emporium bids 16 for the Clear Conscience
  13. I really like having the summary of cities and islands. Makes things easier to find. Good job, sir!
  14. Class 0 fishing boats get raided as well? Man, these are desperate times! Sorry for hijacking the thread, but speaking of exploration missions, can we have an expedition to chart out the terra incognita sections of the map? I hate seeing uncharted waters :p
  15. Do bounty runs need escorts? Please explain how those work.
  16. Very nicely modular and shows off your wealth perfectly. I think it should at least be a medium residence, though I understand with your level of affluence, this is but a mere pigeonhole :p
  17. Yes, but this only applies to DBs earned via the FB, MRCA, Challenges, Rank salaries and other parts of the official system yes? But exchanges between player to player or faction to player do not count, right? Such as if I build a factory for another player for a fee.
  18. The parrot head roof is cute :) [COR] gives one
  19. Actually I have some questions and suggestions regarding the licencing of ships and personal fleet positions. Scenario X: Flagship: Class 2A 2nd Ship: Class 1A 3rd Ship: Class 1A Q1. If by some unfortunate mishap, I lose my flagship, the 2nd ship automatically gets bumped up 1 position? Q2. I guess I cannot recover my flagship with my free licence? Since free licence only works when one has 0 ships? Q3. So in this case, I shall have to purposefully scuttle/unlicence my two other ships in order to get my Flagship back? I'd like to suggest that the ship designated as 'Flagship' be granted a certain amount of immunity. Such that it cannot be captured by another faction or NPC to be sold. In place of a capture roll, it can be considered heavily damaged and put 1 month out of commission.
