I think we've put the violence issue to rest, but the biggest indicator that it has no baring on whether to include Ponda or not is that we have gotten a burned and bloody Anikan TWICE!!. If there had been parental backlash for the first on from 2005 than I doubt we would have seen an even more detailed one in 2010. Ponda may or may not be in the coming set but the violence will most certainly not be the deciding factor on that.

They should make a New Tantive IV that comes with pieces to be red or blue, I think more than one person might buy 2 of them

I'd also suggest one of the geonosian speeders, that came with Ki-adi-Mundi, the set was clone wars, but it's one of the few that is totally film accurate as well, minus the figs. I just bought a sealed one off bricklink for all of $25 so they're still cheap -
Most of the things missing are locations and not ships, I'm sure Lego assumes or has evidence that ships sell better than playsets, we were very lucky to get the Ewok Village this year, and heres looking at a cloud city in the future, but here's my question, does anybody think there is even a small chance we'll ever see things like theed or the gungan city? Other than the last three years of remakes, the prequels get way less attention than OT so when sets are made, they are usually the central figs and vehicles. Obviously this topic is not about likelyhood, just what is missing, but i wonder what people think the biggest missing and likely to be made set is. In my mind, any one of padme's silver ships seems marketable and I'm suprised that we've never seen one. Not trying to hate on peoples desired sets, I want as much variety as possible, I just think there are sets we'll never see, but who knows.

Which leads me to wonder, why lego? Why continue to use an obscure inaccurate fig after having made an accurate one? -

Random question, but are there ever clone pilots in RoTS that look like the ones in palpatine's shuttle and the new V-Wing. The ones from the newer Arc 170 with orange visor seem to be the only ones I see in the movie. -
Yeah, 3PO isn't super common, but with so many unmade characters in th cantina, I hope that a spot isn't taken up by yet another R2. I mean he's 1 of 4 characters in all 6 movies, and he's iconic, but he is hands down the most common star wars fig.

Is there a significant difference between the clone wars printing of the shocktroops in the police gunship and the way they would be printed if made for the movie? I may purchase one or two, but its hard to tell the differences without seeing one side by side with a movie clone.

As long as those rumors of some kind of ATAT are true I'll be happy, I only have the original, and while it looks great I can't help but want an updated one. Side notee, is this Rebels show going to have distorted looking figs like clone wars? I want to buy the old Tantive ship, but not if a new one may come out for the rebels theme, (which seems a likely possibility) But, if it were to be filled with all distorted figs then I'll buy the old one,

I recently bought 4 MEA sets, taking advantage of the fact that Toys R Us had a Buy One get One half off sale, and they hadn't jacked up the prices yet. Anyway, they look nice but having four clone trees is weird. it got me thinking though. If TABA sets released a $30 battle pack for each army, 1 for Elves, 1 for Dwarves, 1 for Men, 1 for Orcs, throwing and eagle, warg, maybe Bear Beorn between them, these things would sell like wildfire. Make each one build a section of some relevant structure so that when you buy them all you can assemble a larger ruin/ wall/ fortress/ whatever PJ has in the scene. I think that may be the only way to do the BO5A as a set/ sets, multiple affordable battle packs. This also save the larger piece sets for an erebor, more dolguldor, or (fingers crossed) Smaug.

You got to hand it to the hobbit line, if you bought one of every set so far, including polybags, the only reundancies you'd have fig-wize would be two extra bilbos (red coat), two extra gandalfs(hat), and one extra legolas(but this is a polybag). I say this asuming the elf, orc, and LT Guard figs are desired in multiples. Probably the best character distribution of licensed sets. (SW is purty good too in this regard, but how do I have five or six soon to be outdated chewies and five or six vested han's but only 1 of the newly revamped stormie)

In the store. It could be that they didn't realize they were new, but they rung up buy one get one half of so I essentially got DGA and the tax for free

Got all four sets in store at Barnes an noble for $155 didn't expect the discount so it was a nice surprise. Mini gigs are great, but I must admit the sets are smaller than expected

Maybe this was already discussed. but the scout troopers seem to be better printed (eyes seem larger) than that first one we saw floating around. Coud be the angle, but here's hoping

Here we go, Santa Wrecking Ball! I tried this with Santa, Miley Cyrus, and Darth Maul (6 AM this morning, Wrecking-Maul seemed hilarious) Santa seemed most appropriate, so here he is in all his glory.

The LEGO Movie Sets News and Discussion
Archer replied to Itaria No Shintaku's topic in Special LEGO Themes
I noticed that. I for one will be putting many of those figs inwith my CMFs and pretending that they are part of the Lego Movie series. Shhhhhh don't tell my OCD Also, sorry if this has already been posted, but the model of the garbage truck (in truck form) is probably the one seen at the very begining of the 2nd trailer.- 2,626 replies

LEGO Collectable Minifigures - The LEGO Movie Series Discussion

Is wiley supposed to have a coonskin cap on? it's hard to tell. If so great, he'll be easy to turn into a proper fur trapper. it's too bad about the silver printing on the western female robot's torso. -
I can't see them remaking the sandcrawler yet, I'm glad we got one, but is another necessary? It's not particularly attractive model (because it isn't supposed to be), and as far as figs go, the old jawas are already perfect, the best we could get would be Owen and Beru. Thats just my opinion on it, though I'm biased since I have the old one.

I thought that the face was weird, but honestly google bats. Some have a sleek fox-like face, but many have extreme nose and ear features. Other than the goofy grin this guy is pretty acurate.

I still think that the color of the old KKII sheilds and Thok (an old Bionicle set) would"ve be best for Azog.

Have we seen any images of what the necromancer will look like in the film? (Other than the hazy scene from AUJ) For all we know we know Lego's version could be spot on and the disappointment factor could be how he appears in the film.

Lego Marvel Superheroes Game Announced
Archer replied to MattZitron's topic in LEGO Media and Gaming
If only there was a code to have all the DC characters thrown into the mix like they did with the first two Star Wars games. Obviously this won't happen due too DC and Marvel being seperate companies but could you imagine? Play all the superheroes!! -

Modular Building Sets - Rumours and Discussion

I just bought the Pet Shop, and when I put it together and 1x8 light grey plate with a door rail, and I was missing a light grey 1x8 with the more extended door rail, the pieces that cap the front of the first floor of the Pet Shop. I used one from my Hogwarts castle, and will be asking for a replacement, but out of curiosity did this glitch happen to anybody else? -
I suppose TLC makes a profit regardless of which set you buy, but I can't help but wonder if TLC has too many licenses competeing with eachother. Star Wars, LOTR, and Super Heroes are three unique staples of geekiness, but with so many sets on the market at a time, surely one line may suffer from the success of another. Not to mention the "Mega-Themes" like Ninjago and Chima. There wasn't nearly this much selection when I was a kid.
