  1. couple questions if anyone knows answers. 1. Do the clone pilot in the ARC170 microfighter and the snowspeeder pilot in the snowspeeder microfighter represent named film characters? 2. Are the regular Kashyyyk troopers even in the film? the non biker scout looking ones.
  2. Bought and assembled the AAT today it is smaller than the previous ones but honestly I don't think its that off from being minifig scale, The clone wars one, while cool, was far bigger than scale. Also does anyone know if the snowspeeder pilot and Clone Pilot from the microfighters represent actual named characters based off their helmet designs?
  3. I'd like to point out how different the Wookiee Gunship looks in these prelim pic vs its actual press release. Here's hoping some of these look better when finished.
  4. I think it's the same as the imperial officers from the star destroyer
  5. If I replaced all the yellow parts of Anikans stargighter with dark red parts would it be a movie accurate version of obi wans?
  6. Also obi WANs star fighter! I am excited for a new hailfire droid as I sold my last one.
  7. I'm not bugged by the amount of printing and detail, it's the pace at which lego keeps "updating" figs that annoys me. Specifically rebel pilots, stormtroopers, and clones. THese figs looked best when they are uniform, but especially with the rebel pilots lego updates the look every year. At least this update is usually to make the figs more accurate, but it's not like the scource material has changed since 1999 (much). It's funny how many iterations of pilot uniform we've had or the number of molds used for luke's hair, yet poor Chewy only just got him first update (not counting brown color change) Also I may be wrong, but I think the STAP battle droids are the only figs that have not been altered in any way since 1999.
  8. I have nearly all the ep 1-6 minifigs created since star wars went fleshie and you are correct Flieger, the actual sepratists are the most lacking in figs. We have only four named sepratists and 2 non droid minions for them. While I'm still hoping for the AAT to include Boss Nass, it might be nice if CIS sets could start containing one member of the council so we can get most of them, they will never really fit into a set, but hell give me Rune Haako in the AAT and I won't complain.
  9. I totally agree, while i did bricklink all clonewars jedi that appeared in the PT and don't have a movie accurate print, I still wish they blended better with the rest of my collection.
  10. As far as I can tell we have a representation of every battle droid type from the movies, however we know that lego rarely releases a set anymore without some unique fig in it, so I'm kinda hoping to see a Boss Nass fig in the AAT set, I mean it would be just as out of place as the Naboo Security Officer that came with the MTT.
  11. Lego seems to be staggering their D2C sets this year besides the first two that came out the same day (but that was right after Christmas so people had extra $$)first PR and the Maersk Ship, then Simpsons, then Sea Cow, then Sandcrawler, then Mixer, then Mini Coop, then Tumbler. for at least half of these there was little time between our first glimpse and their availability, Slave 1 could easily come in September or October with a reveal in late August/ Early September. It has been the standard for years to get two D2C star wars sets per year if I'm not mistaken. Edit: My point is that I'm not surprised we haven't heard anything, assumedly it's at the same price point as the tumbler and the fan base overlaps considerably and I'd wager that people are more likely to pay the 400 for both sets if they have already bought or been planning to buy the tumbler before they see the Slave 1. If they came out the same day many people would probably figure out which they like more and only but one if money is tight.
  12. OOO the gamer has a short-sleeve shirt over a long-sleeve shirt over a short-sleeve shirt look going on coupled with the pizza guy, genie girl, and dino girl, it's nice to see that the two color arms will be thing now.
  13. Can someone remind me what summer exclusive we got last year other than the Jedi defender?
  14. duhhh, im sitting there earlier thinking I know they had an opportunity to do this again since Star Wars, but no many cared about the indiana games, and the two batmans were too far apart, HP was it, gameplay was practically identical, could have merged them.
  15. I wish they would do what they did with the first two star wars games and give you a code to get all the characters you unlocked from the first game into the second
  16. Guys, it's clearly Emmet in his Luke skywalker costume. But seriously I beyond what we as afols think of the fig, I can't imagine an eight year old saying ooo oo I want that 10+ year old version of Luke that goes with nothing released in the last decade. Whose there target consumer for thos
  17. As someone who owns the original, I'd rather have trans tiles than the stickers.
  18. I think there is a high possibility of the homestead now judging by the missing figs(r2 c3po and Luke are a given) this could easily be half the cover pic it also would account for what seems to be less parts than expected for 350$ even for. A Star Wars set
  19. Hey, to anyone who has the 2014 sets with the new launchers, are the warnings against leaving the missiles in the sets simply a safety precaution or does the missile launcher get worn if it is loaded for too long? Might be hard to know since no one has had these sets for more than a few months.
  20. I predict that if this rerelease comes to fruition there will be people complaining if it only comes with the updated versions of the characters from the first release and complaining if it were to come with Lando and Nien Numb. "Why do we get another Han?" "Why doesn't Han come with his ship?" Here's hoping a rerelease would come with a conglomeration of figs that interact with the ship throughout the trilogy. Including but not limited to the main crew, Lando Cloud city and general, Nien Numb, Obi Wan and storm troopers!!
  21. Trying to make a close as possible movie accurate Commander Cody so he's melmetless until they make an accurate phase II helmet for him. While it seems that the buzz cut hair piece would be the logical choice for hair it looks weird. Any body else have a more accurate suggestion?
  22. True, I hadn't thought about it being the only $20 set. It is the only other current set where Bad Cops hover thing is relevant but yeah my idea would mess with a set that was great already. Maybe my gripe could have been fixed is Bad cops hoverthing was released as only a $20 set, no bridge. The bridge/train scene was cool in the film, but that part of the set is a very tiny version of its movie counterpart, and not in a good way like Cloud Cuckoo. Why beef it up to $30 when you already have 4 or 5 (we can kinda throw Metal Beard's Duel in there) sets at that price range. I highly doubt that the bridge was the selling point on that set for more than a handful of people,(I suppose it's a great way to get those zig zag support beams and alligators) Obviously It didn't stop me from buying the set and its only a small annoyance.
  23. I just finished trying to arrange all the lego movie sets on various shelves for temporary display. Most areas I have for display are roughly 1x3 feet, so I have to decide what to put with what. I have all the Battle of Bricksburg citizen ships together, all the micro managers + evil lair + melting chamber together, cycle chase by itself, and seacow + cloud cuckoo + glider on a dresser. That last one being the ones that didn't fit in with anything else. Then there's the bad cop pursuit. Does anyone else feel that this set is a bit on the unneccessary side? Obviously I'm glad they made BC's vehicle, but I think that they should have made the vehicle and Cloud Cuckoo land into one 30 or 40 dollar set. The bridge part is silly, and I'm having a heard time fitting it into my display.
  24. I think CMF series 2 fig the Disco Guy is a prime example of a yellow fig that could easily be a number of races, however I do agree that figs primarily portray a white stereotype. As for Vitruvius, who knows, but I'm glad they did it.
