  1. I'd normally expect to find The Riddler and Harley Quinn in a separate set but Superman is already in with Wonder Woman. There is bound to have been a storyline at some point where they have worked together, even though she is inextricably linked with the Joker. Since none of the Marvel minifigures have shown face from Mexico yet(They may be made elsehere, accepted) I think the figures all seen are from a first wave in January. I know I'll be picking up all the sets bar the batcave from the off, but would be interesting to see if it first exists as a set. Also perhaps it may not be as vehicle orientated as the others are. Though really looking forward to the Joker and Two face sets. Where are the High res pics already?
  2. Just had the e-mail from my friend in Boston. My order from Lego in the US has reached him and he is redirecting it to me Wednesday or Thursday. Been looking at the videos on youtube and I think these sets will be quite a hit with my kids. Hopefully the box makes it through customs in the UK unscathed and untaxed........ For information I ordered 5882 - Ambush Attack 5884 - Raptor Chase 5885 - Triceratops Trapper 5887 - Dino Defense Headquarters
  3. Expensive for figures that will be in abundance in a couple months. The prices on the Mexican? site are better than what I'v seen on ebay but factor in shipping what does it all come to, even on continental US? Toy collector prices do amuse me though.
  4. Hoping that the Batman with glider comes with an extra cape! I wonder if anyone will entertain these ridiculous prices though?
  5. I could look at pictures from other sets but Im wondering for anyone that owns all the Batman Figures from the last line what are the differences that can be seen at this time. Is it, in the main the yellow bat symbol being used on the chest rather than the comic book esque/movie bat symbol? It seems strange than wonder woman gets printed boots and Superman and Batman don't/maybe can't(impractical)?
  6. John Lewis has the Alien Mothership at £34.66 and Harry Potter Knight Bus at £22.46
  7. I'd much prefer a smarter dressed Riddler and I'll bow to the knowledge that the hat might be authentically coloured but it's just not aesthetically pleasing. The Two Face is so ugly though it totally works, which remembering the comics is the whole point. In saying that I have very few of the original run and will gladly snap up all Batmen and villains apart from maybe the Batcave. May hold out for a new Arkham or similar
  8. They look genuine enough, though where does the riddler fit in? And is the bowler hat colour not a wee bit off? I notice its ships by Mexican mail, escapees from a factory?
  9. Wonder if Lego UK will be selling them on the web around early December?
  10. I think they have at least made an effort to vary the main figure in each sets. There are three variants of Batman in the four sets. With Prince of Persia there were only two variants of Dastan(I think) and Jack sparrow there were a few different heads but essentially two torsos and headpieces. Harry potter is probably the worst offender in this regard and judging by the first wave this line wont fall into the same trap. As for Justice League, I think those sets will come, but how many of the secondary and peripheral members you'll see in Lego sets I'm not so sure. No matter what era you go for it won't go much further than Wonder Woman,Superman,Batman,Flash, Green Lantern, maybe aquaman but Hawkgirl,Martian Manhunter,Cyborg etc? Would be great, and in the UK Forbidden Planet etc would be selling the sets for who knows what but in my opinion it'll never happen
  11. I think all the promotional ones handed out at comic con will stay unique and never appear in the sets as a "reward" to those who attended. Lego and especially their partners in this line know the nuances of the collectors market very well.
  12. "Camp" is the polite way to describe Bane's whole outfit And the Robin does look good, hopefully he appears in a smaller set second wave because Im not enjoying the Batcave, especially when I know how expensive it will be. Will pick up all the other sets though
  13. Looks like Black outfit on the Joker and Two Face set boxes. My squinting at the original pictures was correct Great variety in the colours of the "Batmen" in the first wave
  14. The set reviewed Im hoping will be £10-£12 when released here and looks like a good set to gauge if my boys will be interested without spending a fortune on the larger sets. Though may go for the copter myself
  15. *Ill say from the start, I know this will never happen* Solely from the batman angle, wouldn't it be great to have the release of modular sets that can link together to make a giant playset. My kids have been watching too many repeats of Adam West Batman and they asked me the question about Wayne Manor and the route(Poles, grandfather clock and all the entries that have ever been envisaged and portrayed) to the batcave being realised in lego. Cost a fortune but $100/£100 each, sets of Wayne manor and the batcave that linked together would be a thing of beauty
  16. Fantastic rendering of the scene. Love the breaking of the handrail effect. A beautiful and seemingly simple design(Though obviously a lot of work goes into that portrayal). Off topic, the batman that is used, is that likely to be the one that will be featured in the Catwoman set?
  17. I can appreciate people buying the sets for personal purposes i.e completion of theme, minifig collection etc. Moreso than any other Lego line, Ninjago is a brand. With its own cartoon, regular building sets, spinning tops, collectable cards, special edition weapons, videogame and promoted to the hilt here in the UK and Im guessing the same in the US. I've not bought a lot of it personally(I got most of the basic minifigs in paper promotions this year) but my mother, a teacher, could tell you how popular the game has been in the playgrounds. Essentialy a very old fashioned game and for the purpose they were made for, the spinners and figures are standing up to a solid amount of wear and tear. So any slight misprinting or nick on a bit of plastic just seems churlish to mention, unless of course, as mentioned above they all crumble to dust. We all know that after we are long gone though, the lego will remain.....
  18. Maybe see some reviews before xmas, even though they won't arrive on UK shores before January

Thanks for the two replies. I've ordered Prowl and Jazz as they both come with the Kreons and the two were both under £10 on amazon

Just caught hold of this topic. Thinking of getting the basic sets as stocking fillers for my kids. For less than £10 surely I cant be going too wrong? They look reasonable, though nothing like the quality of the toy when I was young lol
  21. Just had to look up what Rubies was. Thanks for the link
  22. I'd be surprised if there were no movie related sets. If for no other market than the specialist comic store markets who carry a lot more lego than they used too.
  23. No idea what the early quality was like in terms of the chinese produced parts but the DX figures and spinners were the real stars of the Ninjago line up this year
  24. Its really hard to tell from the leaked images but in the catwoman set its blue cowl and blue "tights" and the Batcave set black cowl grey "tights" You could spend forever squinting at it but Im wondering if its a black torso you can see in the Two face set?. Just cant tell with the Joker set
  25. Never knew what Galidor was till I looked it up.... I have a friend in Boston going to have a look for me at the weekend but has anyone stateside seen the new ninjago in Toys'R'Us?
