  1. Right now Im playing a game that just came out called "Destiny" since it came bundled with my PS4 that I got this week. Im not so thrilled about it.. (yet) it feels empty and unfinished.. but I give it a try (since i never gave Halo a chance)) and it looks very nice.. Before that i just finshed Metro "Last light".. (I can highly recommend the book Metro 2033).. and I also made it through Borderlands 2 that was a nice experience.. I prefer Solo games, even if I often end up Co-op.. Im a sucker for RPG's (Mass Effect was nice) Me and the misses sometimes play Minecraft split screen on the PS3 and Im still halfway trough Max Payne 3. I love to play ArmA III and Day Z but since my gaming PC died I just cant convince myself to build another rig,, so Im stuck watching it on Youtube..
  2. A bit sad that my first LFW will also be my last.. But Im confident we AFOL's will find a new ways to meet and that something or somethings will fill the gap. and lets not forget "Also keep in mind that the CEE department does not exclude the possibility of hosting AFOL gatherings in Billund or other locations at a later date."
  3. Coherence , not what I expected it to be, but pretty good and a bit different (and a little spooky)..
  4. Very nice build..

    Proteus

Cool idea.. let' s just hope they don't crash into a Gungan sub
  6. Very nice Spinner and display!! Well MOC'ed!
  7. Nice work, and really good job with the stickers that really lifts the moc.
  8. Yeah I miss the sets aswell.. they were fun sets to build and also great partspacks (tan, sandgreen and grey),They had a lot of nice fleshie minfigs that were pretty useful.
  9. I try to build sets, but some goes straight into the sorting bin for me aswell..Orc forge was one of them.. (I still have one in box for a rainy day but chanses are pretty high that its going into the bin pretty soon aswell) On topic.. I think You should break it down, its a god parts pack in all..the only set i kept intact so far in the LoTHR /Hobbit line) is Bag End.. but Im serously thinking of MOD'ing it UCS sets and modular houses are nice for display, other sets are screaming to be modded or taken apart!
  10. Nice!! And feel free to do more scenes from Tremors... I still remember when i watched this the first time, it was on a pirated VHS copy so it had no cover (that spoiled what it was about ( In Sweden the retail copy showed the monster coming up from the ground and its title would translate to "The threat from under the ground" ) so it was both funny and a bit scary..
  11. Nice, not that often You see this built and I like stuff thats SW and not a ship for a change.... however I think it's a little to bit to small disc of the antenna compared to the center structure inside the disc and the smaller discs placement now gets outside the disc and not on the rim..
  12. Thanks for a nice review, Im really a OT guy but I really like the droids ever since the showed up and I was cheering for the trade federation, praying they would put an end to Jar-jar. The MTT was to me (who love the Sandcrawler) a vehicle I really loved in the movies. I have two 7662-1 at home and after your excellent review I'll think i stick to them..(even if they have some flaws). Im glad they stuck to brown with the new since that makes it a good parts pac for brown even if Dk tan had ben nice aswell (or dk orange would have been nice to i suppose even if a tad out of color..),
  13. Nice , I like them all! Can/Will they be made in real bricks?
  14. A really good thing about showing your Moc's in real life, is that they look really nice without hours of preparation setting up a lightbox ,adjusting lightning, photoshopping and a expensive camera system.. the moc is judged , not your photo skills..
  15. Wow , very beautiful, and a good choice of motif for You moc. Some areas outside the factory (around the nice houses) is a bit flat and ..well grey.. perhaps some dk tan plats and some 1x1 round in various earth colors would break up the surface?
  16. Wow, that was pretty massive, I like the color scheme..the feet and the outside ladder to the top for the pilot to climb! (That's new for me) How ever may I suggest using a white sheet as background and some stronger lights, the cluttered background and darkness makes it hard to appreciate the build. Perhaps spend some more time in preparations to take pictures considering how much time you must have spent to build the beast..
  17. What motivates med to show my MOC's at shows? Well a few things 1. To see the happy/interested faces of the kids, non afols (and fellow afols) when they are looking at my MOC's 2. To hear the praise and tips for improvements. 3. To make sure that Swebrick (my Local LUG) stays a great and active Lug. 4. To show other adults that You can have Lego as a hobby and be proud of it. 5. To meet new and interesting people and to spread the hobby to others. 6. To get a bunch of nice memories and stuff to laugh about later. 7. To know that all those hours of hard work building and seaching for THAT brick and all that money spent on Bricklink at least contributed to the list above
  18. I stay away from clone brands, the poor quality is what tips me of the most event if we had a fairly decent one here in Sweden called "Byggis". Also If I want to build with Lego, I want it to be "Lego" , not some junk. Once I got a big plastic bag filled with "Lego" from a friend, after sorting I found out that it was mostly Kreo, Megablocks,Sluban and Byggis and some other unidentified parts.. (only one actual Lego piece blue 2x2 Duplo) Most of the stuff was useless to build with and things just didn't line up or fell apart, I was not suprised to find out her kid never liked to play with "Lego" and thats why she was giving it away..
  19. Wow.. Very nice and scary! Nice touch with the black yellow striping around the base
  20. I just hope that someday there will be a CMF series with fleshies! I guess You cant hope for a fleshie remake of popular CMF figs, but rather hope for that there will be a CMF fig line for some fleshie licensed theme. a Jurassic Park/World CMF would be nice and a SW CMF would be great, (does the old HASBRO action fig rule apply event to the upcoming Rebels?)
  21. Seconded, the Dark Orange is a really nice color to use as ground, and the camel pac's a re well bricked! Good use of minfig parts as the merchant!
  22. Nice setup and use of such a small space! Perhaps the wall's could have been a brick higher with the fig standing outside to more clearly mark the outside from the inside.
  23. Nice build! I like the second floor which heightens the diorama in an nice way and balances nicely with the height of the tree. The use of black for the tree is particular nice, set's a nice touch to the scene. Perhaps i could have used a little more foliage.. or You could have concentrated the "green" to one/two still living branch/es and let the rest be dead.?
  24. Im in the process of making a large re-sorting of all my bricks and as so have often reflected that there are many new colors that are really nice , but also that i miss some of those who are gone (Maerk Blue and old brown as mentioned before) I like the earth toned down color scale, Sand red , Sand Blue and so on .. but Im really thankful that we have more brighter stuff like Lime and Meduim Azure to work with when MOC'ing. My favorite color is definitely TAN, and is also one of the four colors i have most of ( bley light bley and white being the others in about the same volume) Dark Tan is however a color that i often find myself buying on Bricklink. I like the dark green alot and i was thrilled when it began to come in more shapes and more frequent in sets but nowadays find Olive Green more interesting to work with in MOC's I have one piece (a small gear) that's i in the color "rust" in Bricklink's description, its the only pice I have in that color so its pretty useless, but I cant help wishing that I got more parts in that tone.. But i have have to choose only 3 colors to work with , Id stick to Tan, DK tan, and Olive Gren.
