Heroica RPG - Quest #40: The Strivvian Job
Scubacarrot replied to Scubacarrot's topic in The Heroica Archive
"Hm, just keep that sword you mentioned sheathed, we don't like trouble, in Strivvi. And for the sake of the gods, you have a mage with you, if you want to hide that fact, do a better job. Miss, you aren't fooling me. But I digress. You misunderstood, that was fifteen years ago. Macros, I believe, is a good man, but he is hotheaded, and he is a soldier, not a ruler. I don't think the Conclave really benefits, most think the same as I, keep in mind that they are all captains of their own ship, and to balance that fact with their expanded duties in the Conclave, with the decisionless nature of the thing without a Viscount, I don't think they benefit much from the position they are in, if that is what you were implying." The man frowns when Boomingham talks about fugitives, he continues: "I don't think I know the people you mean. We get a lot of trade from Charis, so they probably got here on a Charis merchant's vessel? You should try the Dockmaster's office, maybe that will help. I don't think I can help in another way, although I will say you will find a lot of people dressed in red and blue here." -
How.
-
You responded to only a fraction. Let people make their own decision now, your veil is thin, you are caught. You can split the vote further people, or you can see the obvious. And Hervi, don't put words in my mouth like in your last sentence, it's too obvious.
-
This is your thing all dang day, you pick one part of what you think takes the least effort to respond to, completely out of context and you post. What I meant, and is obvious from the get go, will you spend a valuable investigator's night on a vanilla or on a possible power role. You tell me. How about you start responding to everything? Or would that make you too suspicious? Or are you too good for that? By the way, how are you so sure about Aphrodite and Poseidon? Oh that's right, because they don't exist. Silly of me.
-
I hope you don't think that will cut it. I'm pressuring you, because it's obviously needed. If you are really town, this is no way to respect the rest of the townies. You waste the whole day, then basically split the vote with you buddies right at the end, without telling the reason why the original plan suddenly stops existing? No way, skraeling, no way. No it does not cut it. When do you expect me to want it? Tomorrow? No. Your verifying is megablocks. I told you I am vanilla, are you going to waste your investigator on that? Unlikely. And that's even assuming you aren't scum. Perhaps this Artemis exists, but what's the chance she'll be blocked or killed tonight. You tell me, boyo.
-
And for the record, I was perfectly calm, until I was being bullshitted. No that's not true, I said I might be more trusting to you, and hence see your side, and if I trust you and see your side, I would probably vote for Dragmall, if you got me some colleteral, Don't go lying now. Because what you just said is a lie, and you know it. Call it blackmail, whatever. Look if I care. You are scum. You are avoiding most of what I say, and while I don't think most cliches work, that's a scum tactic. I can go posting the entire conversation, I had a private, impartial bard write everything down, but do you want to do that? It will turn out in my favour, dude.
-
Pulling that one, eh? Because why answer people when you can avoid the subject. You know what, I will tell everyone what I told you. I had not decided wether or not Hervi was scum, Dragmall was scum, both were innocent or, call me crazy, that both were scum and it was just an elaborate ruse to get everyone to trust the one that survived the ordeal. Hervi's behaviour to me seems like a lot of circumstantial BS, relying on people we don't know exist, and a lot of odd circumstances. AND COME ON. Why would you take someone saying: He might be neutral, herpaderp, serious? I jokingly told you on day one I was the serial killer, you did not follow up on that, did you now? So I told Pig boy, Look, if you want me to believe you, why not give me the identity of one of your people, let's say Poseidon? So Pig boy told me, Okay, but Poseidon has an ability, so I'd rather not share his identity, how about someone else, So I said: Sure, but it better not be that guy I suspect!! Then Pig boy clammed up. So there. I don't need you to trust me, because your talk is all lies anyway. I suggest you start talking about this reason why you suddenly don't suspect each other anymore, that's a thing, that's important, and I see no reason why not. Even if it was not all megablocks, what could it possibly be the scum, who are out here somewhere, can't know, but the person you suspected sooo much you wasted our entire day with it can.
-
Hervi, how about you answer the legitimate questions instead of scapegoating someone before he had a chance to talk, you are messing with everybody, and I don't like it one bit. Or you don't want to let out how you are spewing nonsense in private. You are full of proverbial shit. I doubt most members of your little greek pantheon exist, and I'm pretty sure you are thinking us all fools. You occupy most of the day with your crusade against someone, and then when worst comes to worst, you say: Oops, I know something now, better not explain, let's vote a sheep out. It's BS. Oh, and Vote: Hervi Pudding-Head (Hinckley) For nonsensical behaviour and fabricated megablocks

Heroica RPG - Quest #40: The Strivvian Job

The Anubian shakes his head slowly. "It is kindhearted of you to offer, but in vain, you would not be able to catch these fiends, you don't know the sands, and you are severely outnumbered. I have not seen any escaped slaves. Why would your escaped slaves flee to Strivvi, anyway?" Boomingham approaches the man in the robes, the cloth is of high quality, and different colours can be seen in the thread from different angles. His voice is serious, but with a kind ring to it. He answers Boomingham. "Well met, outsiders, I am Edward the Free, former court mage to the late viscount, and currently I try to help Maxis as best I can. It's always good to see new people in Strivvi. Your.. Apprentice looks more dangerous than yourself, if you don't mind me saying, I don't think he needs your training... I can tell you a bit about the history, although I don't have all day, so I'll tell you the recent events. As you probably are aware, around fifteen years ago, the viscount was assassinated. Some blame Eubric's guild of sellswords, Heroica, other blame a serial killer that was active around that time, and there are even some that say it was an inside job. I don't know who did it, and it does not matter. Immediately, there was trouble over who should succeed him, which of the twins? Maxis was born slightly earlier, but Macros was more mature for his age, the Captain's Conclave was divided, and written in the ancient stones that at least three quarters need to agree, no viscount was chosen. In the meantime, the Captain's Conclave rules, every season, a new vote takes place, but so far, no decision has been reached yet." -
Yeah, what the hell is that. What information could this possibly be. Leave the town in the dark, great plan. If you want to do everything behind closed doors, do it, but it will fail.
-
"If these are those Orcs I will kill someone. An Orc, probably. How do you want to play this, they are up to something. We can try diplomatically approaching or storming in there weapons blazing. They might be holding Shaun."
-
I say your reasoning smells, but you don't hear me say that! Uhm...
-
"I can scout ahead, and make a quick run for it if there's trouble." Guts sneaks right.
-
Damn, I just realized something, I completely misread Finn's point. I thought he meant Gerrid was the third to vote for Danr. Because that's not the case, I will Unvote: Gerrid (Captain Genaro)...
-
I think you are missing some context. Try to read the longer posts too. I know it's hard, I have trouble with it myself, but there you go.
-
I'm not following.
-
I'm the serial killer, guys! So. You want to verify it now? That's what you're saying, right?
-
You know Finn, I was worried about you, your behaviour seemed off to me yesterday, but here's how I know you, good catch. Gerrid lied. Someone once said lynch all liars, and it worked out right for them. Real vikings don't need lies. I say we leave the Hervi/Dragmall thing. It's actually a possibility both are town. (A joke's a joke and Hervi overreacted?). This statement is funny for all kinds of reasons. Hervi is the most paranoid person here, I'm pretty sure. Vote: Gerrid (Captain Genaro)

Hmmm, from the pictures alone, I would not have recognized that... whatever it is, as Master Splinter, and that is actually what I was most excited for when I read this theme was coming: a Lego rat-man. Oh well, I don't think I will be getting any of these. At least there's no Michael Bay Movie coming, so not all TMNT nostalgy is ruined. The turtle's eyes look really weird to me.

Guts grumpily says: "Look girl, you came to us, so we do it on our terms."

Pictoral Review: NYCC TMNT Black Turtle Minifig
Scubacarrot replied to Darkdragon's topic in LEGO Licensed
It looks good, I am very interesting to see what you will use it for, thank you for the pictures! Is it just me or do the other Ninja turtle figures have weird eyes, this one has the eyes as I know them... -
Yes. Absolutely.
-
Hervi, stop trying to look for something behind Steinvoir's death. It's a very smart thing to kill him early on. He has a tendency to have an aura of untrustworthiness around him which makes him hard to work with, why there's not much chance he would be watched, and what is the chance for that with so many people anyway? 1 in 25? I'd take that chance to kill one of the strongest players, and that's even assuming there is a watcher. Leaves us with two things the scum would have weigh. Either kill him since he is good, or leave him alive because a lot of people don't trust him or find it hard to trust him. I know which I would choose. Dragmall, your last statement is unconvincing. "Annoyed someone would believe that crappy argument" I don't think you believe that yourself.
-
Dragmall, to get this clear, you deny ever claiming to be a neutral, and you claim to be town, correct? Just explain to me, Hervi, why would anyone claim neutral? What would be the point? Did he claim neutral with a role attached? If not it absolutely makes zero sense, making me question the truth of your statement. Also you are using a dead man as proof, not vey convincing. I am in doubt. Dragmall, you come off to me as actually annoyed, which I find odd if you are innocent though, if you are truly town, you just caught yourself a scum, as Hervi would have to be lying.

Sorry, I completely missed that post above mine.
