Maybe sets are released at different times because Lego doesn't have the production capacity to make enough sets of all their themes at the same time to release them everywhere at the same time. Since Star Wars and MF have molds that are pretty different, Lego can make a small amount of each wave and release the Star Wars in Europe and the MF in the US while they are making more sets for a full release. Lego also doesn't have the storage to hold thousands of sets until all of them are made for a global release at the same time.

Now that I've seen the pics, this does look pretty cool. Good job on making something good out of so few pieces.

Get the 2 Banana Balance and 1 Monster 4. I think it is easier to find a situation where you need a lot of leaves than it is to get in a situation where you need a lot of monster heads.

A 10000 set number is a pretty good indication it will be D2C then.

I'm going to wait for these to go on sale to get any of them. Although 10% off is a good deal, there are usually more savings when winter sets are coming into stores. I love Monster Fighters, but I can wait.

Nice review of this unique set. When you say that the figure on the box has a different head than the one you got, are you sure that the helmet isn't just covering the eyebrows of the box model?

The collection is only six dollars off on sale, so if free shipping doesn't apply to sale items you could just wait for it to go off sale and get the free shipping later. Free shipping would save you more than paying for shipping with six dollars off.

Wait a bit for the castle to hit Walmart or other stores and buy it there. TRU marks LEGO up a lot. The mad scientist and monster set is only $50 MSRP for example.

Walmart.com has two Monster Fighters books scheduled for release in August. One is Lego Monster Fighters: Meet the Monsters and the other is Lego Monster Fighters: Watch Out, Monsters About!. They are 32 and 48 pages, respectively, and both published by DK. Titles are TBC.

I was born in 1995, so I have a good amount of stuff that is older than me. I don't have an older brother or anyone else to pass their collection to me, so I don't have as much old stuff as some people.
