Book II - Mitgardia: Guild sign-up and Discussion
soccerkid6 replied to Ecclesiastes's topic in Guilds of Historica
@MKJoshA: Actually, Simon S built a mausoleum for GoH previously: In general, I think historical correctness isn't that important in GoH (as long as you don't do anything crazy). -
Scary dungeon I like the doors and jumper plates with plate rounds attached Nice to see you continuing your storyline as well

News Travels Fast. At least, on the legs of a scorpion!

The black, dark red, and dark bley colorscheme works very well for Nocturnus The chains and spikes add to the Nocty feel as well. I like how you mixed profile bricks, normal bricks, and log bricks in the SNOT floor. Keep up the good work- 16 replies

Age of Mitgardia (free-build-challenge)

Good question, I'd forgotten about those secondary titles. Yes you have now earned the title: Rigr -
Cool creature. I like the face shape a lot, and those eyes are pretty scary The wings look a little blocky, using wedge plates, or even just staggering the tiles a bit would probably help with that

Thanks K-Nut! Thanks Behemoth -
Thanks! I really enjoy building snowy/slushy builds, glad you like it Thank you Thanks, I did the trees in black because that was the only color I had enough bars and clips in. And Mitgardia exports lots of syrup to Avalonia and the other guilds

Your irregular bases keep getting better and I like that you placed the outpost at a slight angle Really cool fig combos as well

Nice to see a slice of everyday Nocturnian life! My favorite parts of this build are the well (always nice to see new well designs, especially ones of this size), shed (nice that you put an interior in), and various farming implements in the scene The plow and plants themselves are also excellent. Very glad that my Maple Syrup build inspired you to put your idea into bricks

@Legonardo: ... Gorgeous build, can't wait for more pictures -
Fantastic interiors! You did a wonderful job at capturing the Kaliphlin style and the little details like: the ballista, the little lantern, and the rack are excelelnt Always fun to see different characters connected in builds as well

Thanks Carson, sorry we didn't have a pic showing the soldiers, but you'll see them again soon Thank you Thanks! Thank you Thanks Steven -
Thanks Emma! Thanks Kai, I almost did just normal bricks for the door to make it stand out more but ended up going with the log bricks Thanks, and I would think so Thank you Thanks LV, glad you like the roof Thank you, I thought the clips for snow might look too square, but they worked pretty well Thanks Carson, and this cabin is only drafty because whoever was supposed to fill the gaps with mud didn't do a very good job Thanks MKJ Thanks mrcp6d, happy to hear that you noticed the sag in the roof. As far as log bricks vs bricks rounds, I like the texture of bricks rounds, I think it matches the real cabins better. Of course when they built real log cabins they stuffed mud in all the gaps... Thanks Gideon! Thanks Garmadon Thanks WT, I'll do more irregular bases in the future Thanks ME, glad you noticed the roof slope. And yeah those trees would fit well in a Nocty environment I made the back wall a cut-away so you could see inside easily Thanks Yooha, maple syrup is made in late winter/early spring before the trees have their leaves out

This vignette was built by my 12 year old brother. Kendrick and Basil are traveling with the soldiers they met alongside the stream. The soldiers are on their way to a famous dwarven blacksmith where they will buy weapons and armor to fight the dragon with. He would appreciate any C&C
-
Really looks like a relative of the armadillo The way it can curl up is really neat and that picture in the sand storm is fantastic
-
Definitely has the rugged Mitgardian look I like how you did it's face a lot, those robot arms work great for antlers
-
Giant bugs That's just creepy... Really neat design, especially how you attached the legs
-
Looks quite intimidating I like how articulated you made it and that hand design is excellent
-
My favorite module of the group, the texturing works well and the bit of curved wall in front of the house looks great
-
The four modules together make an excellent scene The layout is quite realistic too, the cellar and garden being easily accessible
-
I think this is my favorite build from you yet! The Chobo is really neat and well sculpted And your landscape is excellent, I like the slight rise to where the tree is and the snow drifts look good
-
Cool fence design I think the landscaping could be a little better as right now the gradient is perfectly symmetrical.
-
The finished castle looks very good, I like the clean style you used The SNOT sand green/dark green slopes for the Avalonian colors are really cool. I like the smooth road as well
-
Are those strawberries from Friends sets? I like the round plates and tiles for the stone wall and the hoe design is excellent
