Great idea to build a ram! These would be some very effective war mounts I like how you implemented a saddle too

Age of Mitgardia - Stables Phase 3 - Muninn Garrison
soccerkid6 replied to mccoyed's topic in Guilds of Historica
Excellent finish to your Stables Phases. The new building on the right looks very good, especially the roof Nice spring landscape and the chobos are cute as always. I like the texture of the path by the fire too -
Thanks LV, the hoardings and entrance to the house were two of my favorite sections Thanks MKJ, I always have to have interiors Glad you like the rubble filling to the walls Thanks Alfadas! Thanks Gunman, glad you like it Thanks Infernum! Glad you noticed the shields on the tower Thank you Thanks Gideon, as long as you don't do corners (I still haven't figured a way to do corners without some very small gaps), sloping sections of walls are quite easy to pull off Thanks dG, I had fun with this interior, it was plenty big enough for all I wanted to put in Thank you Thanks TUB Thanks Simon! And I'm hoping to keep this speed going for a bit Thanks Thanks cesbrick, glad you like it Thanks mccoyed, I had fun with the little details, my favorite of which was a fire place set with poker and shovel in the first floor of the house Thanks mrcp6d! And some wall hangings would have been really cool, I'll remember that idea for future interiors Thanks Hammerhand, the supports are quite simple, but I liked how they looked

Book II Challenge II - Avalonian Civil War! - RESULTS POSTED
soccerkid6 replied to Rogue Angel's topic in Guilds of Historica
Fantastic way to announce the results, Rogue And congratulations to Team deGothia and all the individual winners -
Thanks Gideon! I'm surprised we don't see more of those 'hanging' towers in LEGO castle builds Thanks dG! And I'm definitely gonna switch the cheese slope around for future builds Thanks mccoyed, those wooden panel things are cheap and work nicely between crenelations Thanks! I used to use turn table bases on doors all the time. And yeah doing all snow can get a bit tiresome (and my snow parts were running low after building the other 2 phases ...)

Thanks Gideon Thanks mrcp6d! And the torso is from Attack of the Wargs. Thanks Infernum, I've used that bush design a lot of times, but I think this one came out best

Thanks, this was my first time doing a SNOT base Thanks, I actually wasn't going to use dark orange at first, but would not have had enough 1x1 bricks without using it Thanks Gunman! Thanks TUB, what kind of detail would you suggest? Thanks MKJ, I first saw that combo in one of Torgar's builds Thanks Hammerhand Thanks LV

Mitgardian Household - AoM: House Phase II
soccerkid6 replied to MKJoshA's topic in Guilds of Historica
The stone texturing looks pretty good, try not to do every other plate in different colors very often to avoid a striped look. The wood section of the house is pretty good too, I think some brown 1x1 bricks at the corners would look good and complete the wooden framework nicely I like the roof, if you wanted to make it a little less clean, you could add a few leaves. Your builds keep getting better -
Thank you Thanks, I was pretty happy with those wooden supports, especially because I happened to be pretty short in reddish brown when I made them and was still able to get them to look good Thanks, glad you like the doors. As for the foliage, I wasn't inspired by anyone in particular, I've used this basic design quite a few times before and it's pretty common in the Castle world right now Thanks Simon, I've thought about doing a stone wall with wooden walkways before, but this my first time actually doing it Thanks Alfadas! And 'steal' away Thanks Gunman! Glad you like the doors, I wanted to do them a little differently than I normally do Thanks TUB Thanks, have to have that little bit of traffic Thanks Hammerhand, glad you like how the texturing turned out Thanks Markus! Thanks LV, I'm going to be doing those 'false' towers a lot in future builds

AoM Mills phase 2 : Eldritch's Carpentry
soccerkid6 replied to Gunman's topic in Guilds of Historica
Sweet sawmill! The water wheel and saw blades are fantastic designs and that fact that it works makes them even cooler Good landscape and a beauty of a boat too -

Wall Phase 3: -
My phase 3 build for the Wall category in AoM. My main goals for this build were to experiment with making walls with batter (sloped sections), hoardings (the wooden addittions to the tower), and larger buildings than what I generally build. The apothecary hinges open and has a full interior, and I think the windows right under the gables are a new design. Daydelon continued to expand: new businesses such as apothecaries, blacksmith's, and coopers were popping up throughout the city. And eventually the small stone wall didn't provide enough space or protection. As such, a new much larger stone wall strengthened with towers was built. You can see more pictures here: link All C&C appreciated

Book II - Mitgardia: Guild sign-up and Discussion
soccerkid6 replied to Ecclesiastes's topic in Guilds of Historica
Thanks Phase 2: -
My build for Phase 2 of the Wall category in AoM. I experimented with using only SNOT tiles for the wall texturing and making a machicolation (the 'false' tower). As Daydelon grew, the wooden palisade was taken down and replaced by a stone wall with wooden walkways. More houses were built and many farms were started just outside the town: All C&C appreciated

Book II - Mitgardia: Guild sign-up and Discussion
soccerkid6 replied to Ecclesiastes's topic in Guilds of Historica
Welcome Haarits Runeseeker Here's a little free build for AoM: Phase 2, and hopefully 3 will be up later today -
Here is my Phase 1 build for the wall category in AoM. When Daydelon was first settled, a few houses and a log stockade were all the protected it from the weather and wild beasts: Phases 2 and 3 coming very soon All Comments/Criticism welcome

Thanks Gabe, I almost did the door with normal bricks so that the squareness of it would make it more obvious. In the future I'll make sure it doesn't blend in so well Thanks Kayne! Quite sure Thanks Gunman! Thank you, this was my second time using that design Thanks DM! And we'll make sure to have plenty of syrup ready for the MAESTRO to take back to Kaliphlin Thanks Thanks Mike! Thank you, I tried to include plenty of details Thanks Thank you!

Good corn design and I really like that sickle I think brown, dark brown, or even black might work better than green for the ground under the corn, if you're going for a realistic look
-
As I said on Flickr, I really like how you laid out this build and all the little parts within it. The main building has great texturing and I like how you included some wooden sections The little dock with wooden walkway and the stone paths look great. And the landscape is excellent, especially those trees Great to have you building for GoH

The continued adventures of Atlas: The spice ship
soccerkid6 replied to Hobbythom's topic in Guilds of Historica
What I can see of the ship looks good A picture from the side showing the whole ship would let us see it a lot better. The water technique you used in front of the ship is interesting, I'd like to see another view of that too -
Leaves on the Wind Fall as They Will.

One of your best builds yet. The landscape is sweet, I like the little river and trees especially Also the figs and palisade look good. And I love the hatchet stuck in a log
