[G:A12, HC vs DK] Rising against opression
soccerkid6 replied to Bregir's topic in Guilds of Historica
That looks like a dangerous mob! Neat facade, the lime green works pretty nicely with reddish brown. Very good use of the neat reddish brown arches too My only suggestion, would be to have the doors be a bit taller, so there isn't a gap at the top -

The Will to be Free [GA – D13 - HC vs. DK]
soccerkid6 replied to Adair's topic in Guilds of Historica
Very impressive! While the landscape would probably look a bit better with fewer colors, you did very well with what you have Sweet gatehouse and wall too, the rounded towers look great- 31 replies

Thanks mrcp6d, that's a high compliment indeed Glad you like it, Graham Thanks Blufiji! Thanks Captain Dee, we were hoping that would be the final result. We even considered not posting who had built which module, and then seeing if people could figure it out Thank you! Thanks Jacob As you said, we tried to lay it out in such a way that no building was hidden from view. Thanks Kai, and I was just noticing that same thing the other day while looking at it. There's basically 3 sections of 2 modules each, outer wall/landscape, normal city, and then the palace grounds Thanks Balbo! Thanks Gunman Thanks Gideon, I expected it to look a bit bigger all together, but I guess the numerous somewhat small buildings make it hard to determine the size. Thanks! Thank you

Looks very impressive thus far! The dormers do look good and the covered walkway is a nice detail that we don't see often enough in LEGO castles. I think you could make the chimney a touch smaller if you wanted, but it looks pretty good as is too. The cellar entrance is lovely

Great use of the dice element, and very unique approach with the mecha styled warrior suit
-
Incredible geometry The base alone is magnificent, but with the addition of the stepping monument... Wow Definitely approved
-
Both buildings are superb! The columns and gold detailing on the smaller building look great. And the insets and color usage on the large house are just as cool
-
Lovely color-shading in the swamp, and the tree growing out of the tower looks fabulous The little dock next to the tower is a great touch too

My finished collab with LittleJohn. This is our largest build to date, with a base size of 66x98, and weighing in at 30.2 pounds. There are 70 minifigures in the city, including quite a few familiar sigfigs, see how many you can spot We constructed it over a 6 week period. Every building has a full interior, and every floor is accesible via stairs or ladder. There are four moving features: the windmill, the potter's wheel, the hidden trapdoor in the city hall, and the bell; see them in action here: The city buildings include: windmill, tower, gatehouse, potter's shop, tailor's shop, city hall, noble's house, palace guesthouse, and palace. Windmill module: link Gatehouse module: link Market module: link City hall module: link Gardens module: link Palace module: link The city of Katoren is growing quickly and has already become a prominent city in Kaliphlin. It is well known for it's thriving marketplace, and elegant palace. See lots more pictures here: link Well we hope you've enjoyed our efforts, we certainly had fun creating this slice of Katoren

This is magnificent! The houses nestled among the trees look fabulous, and the forest itself is most impressive Superb water and rockwork too, everything about this display is excellent

Good sand texturing and I really like how you did little ropes and tent pegs Clever furniture designs too, approved
