  1. Not quite 20 years since we had a Tie advanced in 2009; although the fact that 2009 is nearing 20 years ago is concerning. I own the 2009 Tie Advanced and while I like it, it looks really dated next to newer Ties.
  2. As a side note I never liked the rebels A-wing, I wish they had made them separate sets so I could've got the Tie advanced alone.
  3. So just the 2017 A-wing then?
  4. We did get an A-wing in 2016 tbf
  5. I hate Mando's N1, it takes a colorful ship and makes it another boring gray set. Agreed, minifig scale U-Wing. Mando fatigue is real.
  6. We need an AT-ST with the size of the 09 one with the detail of the 2016 one.
  7. LEGO: Best I can do is more 18+ sets and smart bricks.
  8. I think it was a clear downgrade from 2009 AT-ST the face should be sloped not flat like the 2016 set. 2009 was also technic/plates and not blocky at all. I did actually get the R1 AT-ST back in the day and I always thought it was mid, decent for display I guess. I just dislike when sets are oversized it feels like a waste of space and money. I'm not big on the Tie striker from that wave either but the other 3 sets are peak.
  9. 2016 just looks off to me, maybe the weakest R1 set. It's still better than the OG one from 2001 though.
  10. I do agree the 2009 one is the best but I don't own it. I still think 2007 is the best individual AT-ST set though because it's not oversized and the face is more accurate than the newer ones, it was also only $20. that era of LSW just has aura.
  11. The only issue would be visors and macro binoculars not working on a character like Rex, but who cares? 99% of people would put the rangefinder on Rex anyway since visors don't even come with rangefinders anymore. We used to have a p2 Rex with no holes at all and kids played with him just fine, so not being able to put a visor on isn't that big of a deal. Lego makes tons of different helmet molds, making 1 more slightly different one is fine. I guarantee if Lego did this in the first place no one would be making a fuss. At the VERY least they should've made the right helmet for Rex in the Venator since it is obviously for adults.
  12. My solution is simple, create a second helmet mold with the holes in the right place for regs and clones with antenna's. I own a GCC helmet with the holes in the correct place and it looks so much better. At the very least a character like captain rex should have them in the right spot since most people aren't going to put a visor on him anyway, I don't even think the new antenna piece comes with a visor anyway. I don't really think two molds for clone helmets is really that extreme at this point in the minifigure evolution. There's no reason we can't have accuracy and compatibility within the building system.
  13. Most people I've seen critiquing the helmet holes do so when it's relevant to the LEGO discussion. People continue to complain for years because it is still an ongoing issue... At worst the complaint is repetitive, which just happens if you frequent discussions about the current state of Lego Star Wars. I remember a lot of users here complaining constantly because Lego wasn't making enough OT playsets which I found quite repetitive, especially because there were plenty of OT sets on shelves and continue to be in 2026. Lastly poking fun at people is fine I guess but it often just resorts to name calling and is mean spirited in nature. Also I can see how complaining about Lego is silly to people and I do agree it's a very first world problem. I would never think to talk about helmet holes outside a Lego discussion; some of us are just long time fans that are passionate and enjoy talking about and critiquing the product we love. In my opinion if something is objectively inaccurate it is a valid complaint, even if you don't care.
  14. Yeah you're right, I swear I was never taught how to properly use those dashes in school so I never use them personally. He also used them a lot more than I see in normal writing; but yeah I've just gotten paranoid about AI. I also sometimes forget not everybody has poor grammar like myself I disagree about P1 clones because the holes don't distort the helmet printing and are in the correct place. I do not understand why this is so hard for people to understand, it is a perfectly valid complaint. I don't see why people get so offended if you criticize a multibillion dollar company's product.
  15. A lot of people here said kids aren't interested in castle anymore but your kids suggest otherwise, interesting. I still think they should bring back Castle as full theme, at least for 1-2 years. Are you using Chat GPT in your writings? I've never seen anyone use dashes in their writing like that, except AI.
  16. Yeah I think a lot of people have Star Wars fatigue at this point especially because a lot of the stuff we get is bad. I think sometimes a franchise needs absence to create desire. Like TFA was huge in large part because it was 10 years since the last movie, by the time solo came around no one cared anymore. I predict Mando and Grogu will flop like Solo.
  17. I forgot about Dengar since his face is covered up
  18. Non existent because the sequels suck
  19. Yeah they usually only gave the classic smiley to unnamed characters, although they did give Wedge Antilles the classic smiley face.
  20. I always thought they should've updated the 2019 falcon with OT figs after a year.
  21. I wish we had sales data on individual sets. I guess we can assume long shelf life, # who own on Brickset, and clearance sets, nothing is for sure though. Some will argue LEGO knows what will sell best but I have a hard time believing a set like buildable chewie actually sells well. Like this: ( : or look up Lego Hoth rebel trooper 2009 Yeah I'd be happy with just a Luke and Vader.
  22. Yeah I suppose people do complain about dual molded legs. I agree given Lego's current prices though, they can do it for a $5 cmf. Yeah I know it's a very first world problem, but like how can you not give dual molded legs to figures in 1k set. Yeah Hoth rebels and an A-wing pilot from the home one set. None of them had the classic smiley face though.
  23. Who are these people that you say will complain? Most of the complaints about modern LSW figures are things they could easily fix by checking the source material. I don't see anyone complaining about lack of arm printing or dual molded legs, unless it's in an overpriced/UCS set. This is why I like LSW figs from 1999-2009.
  24. I'd rather them just bring back light up lightsabers.
