Very nice, I'd love to see it in action!

Glad you like it! Many thanks! Thanks a lot! Glad you like it! Thank you very much! Many thanks! Glad you like it! Sorry, there are no instructions. It's difficult to tell something about the building method, since it's usually rather chaotic, but I try to work on the whole structure from the beginning rather than starting with a certain aspect. I built the hull (see above) first and then used some quickly built dummies to mimic the superstructure to get an impression of the proportions and dimensions. Anyhow it's nice to have something to relate to (like I had Joshua's boat) to see if you're on the right track. If you want to have a lighting its crucial that you take it into account in an early state to keep enough room for lamps and wires. Hope that helps, if there are special questions, just ask. Thank you very much! To be honest, I'm no fan of Ideas as a builder (other than as a customer) for several reasons. A hull like this would never pass, same for quite a few details. The result would be a completely different design (see Ecto-1).If this MOC inspires other builders to create similar boats (like Joshua's design inspired me) I'm already happy. Thank you very much! Didn't think of Venice, but yeah, it surely would look nice there, too. Ah, Venice ...

Wow. Guess I should build some more boats instead of cars ... Thanks all for commenting and viewing. Thank you! Glad you like her. Many thanks! Thanks a lot! Thank you very much! Many thanks! Glad you like it! Thanks a lot! Many thanks LT! Getting a big red "awesome" from you means a lot. Glad you like it! Many thanks. Thank you very much. Glad you like the deck chairs, too - furniture is not my special field. Glad you like it that much! Just to give an impression of the hull technique: By varying the length of the liftarms you get the shape of the hull. Thanks a lot! Thank you! Hull see above. Many thanks! Glad you like it! Thanks a lot! Rather Long Island Sound - I just didn't find a way to buld a proper American flag.

[Edit, 23 August 2015] New pic of the yacht afloat: [/Edit] Hi all, a first vessel. It's supposed to be one of those fast commuter yachts of the Roaring Twenties. The yacht is 60 studs long, width is 12 studs. It's equipped with some PF and 9 Volt lighting (navigation lights and interior). The build is strongly inspired by Joshua's (JBIronWorks') amazing commuter yacht "Mohican", see https://www.flickr.c...06/15357970010/ Some more pics on my Flickr. Thanks for looking, c&c welcome as usual.

Very stylish, I especially love that avant-corps. The spikes are just right. I love the garden, too (in spite of that giant spider ). It rather looks like a botanical garden with plants from all over the world. Great job!

Thank you, but take a look at the date - you're answering a post from 2012. In the meantime I've built quite a few cars, you know. Tiles are much thicker than the usual doors, that's why a studless floor is not sufficient - the "hand trick" does it, like solta had written already.
-
Though it does remind me of Richard Brown's Nissan Navara (front and especially the use of those windscreen parts) it's nicely done and fits well to the camper.
-
Very stylish, especially the shadow of the lettering on the floor is amazing, but my favourite is the Maltese, er, Parrot. A nice contrast to the rather colourful DO. Hopefully there'll be more stuff like this.

Great stuff. It's very nice to have so much SNOT work on the outside *plus* a full interior. And 7 studs is a suitable width for a caravan in a larger city scale.
-
I like the smooth style of your Coast Guard boats - guess you shouldn't wreck the Kormoran class which still looks great in spite of its width. As boats of two different classes they fit together very well, I think.
-
Looks great, I love the combination of classic architecture with a modern garage. Of course I'm looking forward to the cars!
-
Great improvement of the original thing, the offset between cab and body makes it much more realistic. Maybe I would have widened the alcove to 7 studs, too (by using some curved slopes), but that's a minor aspect. Great job!

As you know I am a big fan of your motorized minifig scale vehicles, and this is no exception. I'd love to see much more of this kind of stuff that helps to make town surroundings more interesting and lifelike. Plus the truck itself is designed very well, I especially love the way you built the characteristic front with all sorts of SNOT. Keep up the great work!

City Layout - Inspired by Los Angeles, California

Very nice! I especially like the idea of having skyscrapers in a much smaller scale in the background. -
Thank you! Thanks LT. Yeah, as I said, wheels don't spin properly. But since this type of car isn't meant to move on the LCS it might be acceptable. Sure, there will be a Crockett and Tubbs - as said, it's quite difficult to find the right minifigure parts. Ideas welcome. Thanks a lot Gabor! Thanks a lot. Glad you like the Interceptor that much! Thank you very much! Well, there's always something in the pipeline ... Thanks all for viewing and commenting! To be continued.

#6 Ferrari 365 GTB/4 Daytona Spider "Miami Vice" The Ferrari actually fits 2 minifigs but it's quite difficult to find an adequate Sonny Crockett and Ricardo Tubbs - any hints are welcome. Admittedly the wheels don't spin very well like this but it's a possibility to use the new tire/rim combination. Thanks for looking, more to come!

Thanks, I'm mostly interested in the way you switch the light on and off.

It's a nice building though I agree with the others that it's quite close to FB. Anyhow what interests me most is the working lighthouse which is really amazing. Could you please tell something about that?
-
It does look nice, but since the prime mover's design is very close to the Lego City Truck 3221 I doubt it will pass - though I don't know the exact rules. But maybe as a set of (two or three) trailers for an existing prime mover?

There's only this snapshot from last October, but well: Now there is also that nice Friends set, and Stephanie's wearing a helmet when delivering her pizzas which is a good thing.
-
Looks great, love the Art Deco touch of it. You may use that nice Minifig/Friends scooter to get a delivery service:

Wow, that's a huge project, looks very promising! One suggestion would be to take into account what the facade will look like before the interior is finished. Usually the facade rules what's behind it. Otherwise you may recognize too late if the proportions don't fit. When taking a look at the photo it seems that the ground floor is a little elevated which I guess is typical of such a building. Also the design of the roof(s) might be important in this regard. Looking forward to the further development of this!

Nice station! Do you have a Flickr account? Would be glad to have it in the Gas Stations Group over there.
-
Great idea and execution! With a BrickLink account part shortage is a thing of the past - to be able to get any part you need feels like being in a Lego paradise.
